@Itsasomething I had 3 fillings at 9 weeks. I’ve known I’ll need them since my wisdom teeth came through 15 years ago so it’s just bad timing that they finally got bad enough to need the fillings while I was pregnant. It was absolutely fine though and they had no concerns doing it while pregnant including giving anaesthetic. They said they normally avoid doing major work in the third trimester but only because it can be uncomfortable to lie on your back for long periods of time.

richa0908 · 03/04/2024 14:39

10 weeks and I started to have brown discharge/spotting. More when I wipe down but hardly in my pee. Anyone else had this? Spoke with midwife and she says its normal but really worried

Seashells4 · 03/04/2024 14:53

@rachisamumtobe so happy to hear your scan went well! 🤗 xx

RobynC28 · 03/04/2024 15:33

@richa0908 I had exactly this at 11 weeks plus cramping. Got an early scan at the epu and everything was perfect. The sonographer thought that the bleeding could be caused by the placenta taking over. You could ask for a scan if you think it would make you feel better - i was absolutely sick with worry but i think it's very common! All the best!

WickWood · 03/04/2024 15:39

@richa0908 I had exactly the same at 10/11 weeks, on the tissue when i wiped. As @RobynC28 I had a scan and all was fine!

nervousn3lly · 03/04/2024 15:47

@richa0908 I also had this it happened on and off for 2weeks, weeks 10-12 as long as it doesn't change to red or you get any pain I was told it was common didn't stop me booking another scan at 11wks tho I completely understand how your feeling and I no easier said than done and such a cliche try not to worry. X

Thanks, really appreciate your reply, hopefully its nothing to worry. I will keep an eye on the colour

rachisamumtobe · 03/04/2024 16:39

@Seashells4 thank you!!! X

Hi all, feeling very conflicted right now! Had our NIPT results and came back all clear, but just now I held a wee in for 10-15 mins on a packed train and when I got off and walked to my next train I got this shooting pain right up from my crotch to my stomach. It stopped me right where I was. Had a wee and It’s eased but is still there and sharp. No bleeding but very worried. I’m 12 weeks on Friday. Has anyone had similar?

cant see it being because I held in a wee as have to do this before scans and not had this :/

seems too early for lightning crotch?

WickWood · 03/04/2024 19:45

@Sunandsea13 Not sure if it's the same thing, but if I hold a wee in I do get pain in my bladder, as though I've got a UTI but then it quickly goes? Great news about the NIPT results x

ButterflySkies · 03/04/2024 20:58

@Sunandsea13 im getting similar!!

And @richa0908 ive had this (and bright red) on and off. It's horrible but baby is doing fine, so please try not to worry lovely. Here if you need to chat 🩷

Fairly sure DD has come home today with chicken pox... now I've got her sorted and to bed, I can be selfish - I think this is fine for me isnt it? I definitely had it as a child so I think I should be fine? You cant help but worry can you! Xx

LuxeBiscuit · 03/04/2024 22:39

@Sunandsea13 I'm currently on antibiotics for a UTI. Could it be that? It was picked up by the sample taken at the booking appointment and I was surprised as I didn't have symptoms.

Or perhaps it's sound ligament pain?

missy24 · 04/04/2024 00:37

@Sunandsea13 literally just had this while I was in bed. So sharp from lower tummy to crotch! Gone now that I've been for pee. I've also had a pulling/aching sensations for the past 2 days on my lower left side of tummy. I'm 12 weeks on Saturday and have my scan next Wednesday, so feeling very nervous!

Seashells4 · 04/04/2024 07:51

Morning everyone! Is anyone else struggling with sleep!? I can go off to sleep so easily but then I’m up for 3-4 hours in the night, it’s starting to drive me crazy !! X

rachisamumtobe · 04/04/2024 08:59

@Seashells4 morning! I am the same, I can go to sleep so quick (before I was pregnant I used to toss and turn! Has helped ditching caffeine!) but if I wake in the night I will lie there for ages unable to get back to sleep

TeainanIV · 04/04/2024 11:14

@Seashells4 I'm exactly the same, sleep has gone out of the window - so tired!! 😴 plus my toddler still wakes during the night so I find even once I manage to get back to sleep I'm very soon woken up again 🙈 xx

RobynC28 · 04/04/2024 13:27

Do people think we'll be offered covid vaccine boosters as part of the October roll out?

Im not sleeping through the night at all. It's awful as I love my sleep and normally sleep like a log! Preparing us for motherhood maybe??

Joey2011 · 04/04/2024 15:00

I started not being able to get back to sleep after waking a few times over the past couple of weeks. Atm touch wood I'm OK I've just got to the point of waking up twice now for a pee!

CluelessInLondon · 04/04/2024 15:11

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing? I've been away on holiday so have been keeping up with reading posts but haven't been posting.

Question for those who have had the combined screening done already - how long did it take to get your results and did they just come through by post? It's nearly 2 weeks since my scan and blood test and I haven't heard anything back. I'm kind of assuming no news is good news and that if there was something to worry about they would have called me, but it's quite frustrating as we're waiting until after we get the screening results to tell people and were kind of expecting to have them by now...

JLT24 · 04/04/2024 15:20

@RobynC28 i asked my midwife about this and she said they aren’t including pregnant women for any more covid vaccines currently. I asked about the flu jab and she said I can have it in Sep as flu season is Oct-Mar and I’m due end Oct

Btowngirl · 04/04/2024 15:26

@RobynC28 my midwife gave the option for both the Covid and flu vaccine, I would mention it to them if you’re after it!

WickWood · 04/04/2024 15:45

@CluelessInLondon If you've heard nothing I'm sure it'll be because your results are low risk, I was told to expect a phone call within 5 days if something was wrong, otherwise a letter would come. I got my letter after a week/week and a half.

Hope you have had a lovely holiday!

RobynC28 · 04/04/2024 15:50

@CluelessInLondon mine was meant to come in 24 hours - to be updated on my notes app and a letter. I emailed after a week and she said there was an error on the app and sent me my results by email which were low. Letter never came and it's been 2 weeks!

I'd email - but agree no news is very very likely good news!

Interesting that it sounds like there's different policy on covid vaccines across the country. My midwife previously just said the nhs doesn't offer them to anyone any more but that's not true as they are rolling them out now.

CluelessInLondon · 04/04/2024 15:55

@WickWood @RobynC28 Thank you! I might try calling the antenatal clinic tomorrow to see if they know what's going on with my results - I didn't get given any information on how they would be provided, just that I would have them within two weeks, but my trust is still very wedded to sending letters so I might just have something that's stuck waiting for the Easter postal backlog to clear!

WickWood · 04/04/2024 16:09

@CluelessInLondon That's a good point, the long Bank Holiday will definitely have delayed the post!
