Hi ,just had an early reassurance scan and saw baby with heartbeat at 7 weeks 3 day ,due 29th October.very anxious after a loss in December xx

Same due date and had an ectopic in July 2022. Also, had an early 6 weeks scan, anxious and excited just like you. Can’t wait for 12th week scan to make sure everything is okay

It’s so scary isn’t it after a loss ,10 weeks today though so feeling a little bit more positive ! When do you have your 12 week scan ? Mines on the 19th so will be a bit over 12 x

mrssunshinexxx · 02/04/2024 17:59

Another 3 weeks til my scan wow it's dragging

I know right! I recently had my first appointment with midwife and haven’t heard about when my next scan is going to be. I hope its soon as the wait is tiring. A lot if my early symptoms and my fatigue is going/has gone away, funny enough that’s scaring me too like why 😂 hut hope everything falls in place this time.

I’m just under 3 weeks until my scan too. Feels a lifetime away. Along with the holy grail of the vomiting and nausea going away hopefully!

WeightoftheWorld · 02/04/2024 19:50

Has anyone with baby 3+ got a proper bump already but a confirmed singleton from a scan? I'm getting a bit anxious about the possibility of twins as now I have a real bump at 12 weeks and having to be very strategic with my clothes to continue to hide it! I wasn't anywhere near this big with either of my previous ones and I've weighed myself and am the same weight as pre-pregnancy so it's not due to weight gain. Is it just that my stomach muscles are so ruined third time over and everything stretches quicker?!

mrssunshinexxx · 02/04/2024 19:54

@LiviaX I cannot wait for the nausea to stop

@WeightoftheWorld pregnant with my 3rd and definitely bumping already!

@LuxeBiscuit no I don't have the maternity exemption yet, should I have got it by now?
I did have a dental check up literally as I got pregnant and all was ok so I suspect it's just the usual pregnancy bleeding, horrid as it is.

@spudnik1 thanks for the tip! I'll give it a go

rachisamumtobe · 02/04/2024 21:05

@mouldygrapes if you ask your midwife they'll get it sorted! I got mine the next day

rachisamumtobe · 02/04/2024 21:06

Going to see the baby tomorrow for the first time. It's classed as an emergency scan as I had some pains/spotting so they just wanted to be sure, I am 12 weeks Friday! I have my official 12 week scan on the 15th

Hoping all is well 🤞🙏

WeightoftheWorld · 02/04/2024 22:03

@mmrssunshinexxx thanks thats, reassuring I look exactly the same! How are you hiding it or have you broken the news? I'm going to call in sick to work tomorrow as I'm feeling super sick and exhausted after a trip away and running out of Xonvea so having to ration them for a few days bleurgh. So I will need to tell my manager tomorrow morning which I'm dreading. But at least that kicks the can down the road to next week at least for hiding it at work from my colleagues. I can't wear baggy t-shirts and leggings to work so feel it's harder to hide it there with my clothes!

LuxeBiscuit · 02/04/2024 23:01

@mouldygrapes my midwife emailed the certificate to me during the booking appointment. It's worth following up if you're on medication or need a dental check up.

mrssunshinexxx · 03/04/2024 08:01

@WeightoftheWorld baggy jumpers but I don't work so don't need to look smart. Xx

Thinking about it I got it after booking in my last pregnancy so I think the midwife just forgot this time! I'll chase it up. Thanks for the reminder, I've got a prescription to collect so should get the form first (I know you can reclaim after but that's just a faff).

Missingpotatocroquettes · 03/04/2024 11:18

First appointment in two days! I'll be 11+3 and I'm terrified I'll have had a missed miscarriage. It's on my mind 24/7 so I haven't really been able to get excited about being pregnant.

@rachisamumtobe hope your scan goes well today! Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

I feel exactly the same and my scans not til the 11th. I have no reason as such to feel that way. I am still exhausted extremely nauseous etc but I know too many people now who have had a missed miscarriage at 12/13 weeks so it plays on my mind

WickWood · 03/04/2024 11:49

Good luck to everyone with their upcoming scans!

Itsasomething · 03/04/2024 13:32

Wanted to say thanks for the reminder to get the mat cert sorted!
Super timely as I've somehow broken a tooth. Has anyone had dental treatment before in pregnancy? I'm a bit worried about it, as I reckon it's an extraction/implant situation about to happen.

Me too, especially after three non-missed miscarriages I am so nervous about this one. I’ve still got to wait two more weeks.

Sorry for the radio silence. Been so busy over Easter Weekend. Feel like I've barely sat down!

Good luck to everyone who has the scans coming up. Speaking of scans- How do people feel about posting their scan pics on social media for (supposedly) friends and family? It's a medical document and contains so much personal information. Not sure I want 2nd cousin Billy knowing my DOB, clinic and dr's name and that random person I met at a bar in 2009 knowing my baby's GA and estimated due date. I don't know. Maybe these pregnancy hormones are on fire today and I'm being overly paranoid. But I'd be interested to hear where everyone else stands.

WickWood · 03/04/2024 14:08

@Oct24 I havent/wouldn't post my scan on social media (FB) but I did post it on here actually with my name etc, that didn't bother me, but I definitely wouldn't post it on my FB.

We've booked a scan for Friday and will hopefully find out the sex (will be 14+5) but apparently its 99% accurate. If they can't get a clear photo they'll rebook for free. I'm very excited but also nervous, as with any scan!

Oct24 · 03/04/2024 14:12

@WickWood Thank you for making me feel less weird in my thoughts lol.

How exciting! I hope everything goes well for you. Fingers crossed they get a clear shot and don't leave you hanging!!!

I might do a zoomed in shot at 20 weeks and cut out the personal info. I did this last time. I’m not sure I’m going to announce this pregnancy.

rachisamumtobe · 03/04/2024 14:17

@Missingpotatocroquettes it's looking all good! Just saw the baby! They were posing and had their hand up!! I'm so happy, having another scan soon but so far so good

WeightoftheWorld · 03/04/2024 14:23

Personally I don't 'announce' my pregnancies formally at all. I just tell the people around me as when I see them really, exception being family that aren't local but my DPs etc tend to share the news to them for me in the first instance so I don't have to do the Whatsapp rounds. I don't share my scan photos with anyone other than DH, nobody has ever asked to see one or expressed any interest in seeming them. Obviously everyone is different but that's just me.
