Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Just caught up lots of worries today gosh it's such an anxious time isn't it 😩 it's torture
Sending love to everyone having a tough day

@piechipsgravy so so pleased for you!!! Wipeeee and I can't believe the first scan you had they told you that. I agree with what someone else said - you should deffo complain

Facebook link guys (Bain of my life I swear 😂) I have no idea what I'm doing and I just set it up because I loved my due date group with my 1st so much:

fb.me/g/p_AHr1snQZdw9vDGnK/CQiy1tyL

Let me know if you have any issues @Mummysparrow some people say they have to copy and paste in to their browser rather than just clicking

I mean I'm happy setting the group up but I'm hoping to give/share admin duties to anyone
As literally no idea what I'm doing 😂

The link has just started working for me so I’ve sent a request to join 😊

@Loz365 that’s fab news!

@Elixabeth gosh I can’t believe they expect you to wait so long, I’d be going out of my mind. I echo getting a private scan. How are you doing now?

CaptinKitty · 18/03/2024 16:39

I posted last Monday to say that I was feeling worried as we had gone for a scan expecting to be 7+2, but the measurements came out as 6+1. Spent a lot of time fretting over it either being normal due to a later ovulation or something indicating baby wasn’t growing properly. I booked a follow up scan for 2 weeks later to see how things were looking and to give things time to develop.

But after lots of fretting, I Decided to go for another scan today (a week early) and see what the situation was and am so glad I did. Baby has grown by 8 days over the last week, so it looks like I’m most likely a later ovulator/implanter.

This scanning place also measured the heart rate at 149bpm, which she said was nice and strong and in the middle of what they would want/expect at this point (120-160bpm is the range)

Breathing a big sigh of relief for now!

@Mummysparrow yes tell me your name to search or message me your email address which I've had to do for a few people 🤣
There's 55 of us now ☺️🥺

Thank you, really appreciate it - love this group for support! X

I don’t think this is going to be the happy ending I want, I’ve been bleeding on and off all day today and now have horrendous cramps. Nothing I can do but wait for my next scan on Thursday.

hicketypickety · 18/03/2024 18:44

@Loz365 @CaptinKitty so pleased both your scans went well!

@TinkRose sorry to hear that, thinking of you

Elixabeth · 18/03/2024 19:17

I've booked myself in for a private scan so I can at least have an answer either way, they're able to see me tomorrow

@TinkRose I'm so sorry you're going through this as well, the wait and not knowing is horrible

I'm so pleased for all of you that have had reassuring news xx

Loz365 · 18/03/2024 19:40

@CaptinKitty that's lovely news! 🥰

@TinkRose oh I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself, the wait for appointments is just awful 💐

@Elixabeth that's great, I'm so glad they can see you tomorrow. I still can't believe EPU but at least you'll know what's going on tomorrow x

Really struggled with my lower back all day today and it's still so painful. And now I've got a sharp pain in my stomach right next to my belly button. I feel it every time I move or bend. Please tell me this is normal 😅

Round ligament pain or growing pain would be my guess. Also had a bit of lower back pain but it feels like my joints which is odd xx

I’ve also got bad lower back ache and have had an on off sharp pain next to my belly button! No idea what it is or whether it’s normal, but at least it’s not just you!

Hi everyone, had my positive today with an estimated due date 26th Nov based on ovulation.

Very surprised as all in this last month; we've been told dh sperm count was severely low (from test in December but rubbish GP, has been on supplements since Dec), our referral to fertility clinic has just gone through, finally told family and some more friends about fertility issues, we've both had a really stressful month with our jobs and barely had sex, dh has got a new job (to start in September as he's a teacher) and we are picking up our puppy Saturday! So basically terrible timing after trying for over a year 😂

DH won't be eligible for paternity leave and no AL for teachers, so hoping the school will let him have it unpaid (or paid even better but seems unlikely!) Anyone else has this happen?

So so happy and excited though! And at the same time trying to be realistic and not get too ahead of myself 😅 no symptoms yet but only 3w6d on my app

Hey congratulations! Similar situation here, my wife is a teacher (I'm the one carrying so she would be the one taking pat leave) and she doesn't have a job yet for the next school year as current job finishes in August 🙈 so we are just hoping that she does get a job first and foremost and then we will have to worry about leave after that! Tbh I didn't even think she might not be eligible for pat leave 😅 we will just have to see what happens though. Is this your first?

RedCords · 18/03/2024 22:59

@waryandbored same! I have this burny sharp belly button pain too.

J18 · 19/03/2024 06:39

Hi @CadoAvo yes it is our first, I was mainly thinking about the pay and possibility of shared leave when I checked, I was surprised the actual leave has the same time limits. I'm sure they won't say no to it unpaid but it is a bit awkward 2 months in 😅 the interview and notice is so far in advance for teachers. His new job is at a private school so they break up for Christmas on the 13th December so that should be nice timing for a bit longer together. I hope your wife gets a job sorted soon so there's one less thing to stress about.

piechipsgravy · 19/03/2024 07:22

Woke up at 5.30 with horrendous stomach pain from trapped wind/needing a BM again so back on the prunes and bran flakes for me 😭 the nausea also started today whilst lying in bed which is new and not so fun.

How is everyone doing today?

Loz365 · 19/03/2024 07:35

I'm full of cold and didn't sleep particularly well so I feel wiped out this morning. Just counting down the hours until work is done and I can go back to bed!
But other than the tiredness I still don't have any more symptoms!

Daisychain27 · 19/03/2024 08:28

4w3d for me today and my symptoms (not that I had many in the first place) have totally disappeared the past 2 days ☹️ anyone else experienced this? I know I should maybe be grateful I’m not suffering but I’d rather have symptoms so I feel pregnant

FlyOnTheWall89 · 19/03/2024 09:07

@Daisychain27 that's so so early still. Symptoms don't usually kick in properly until 6 weeks! Try not to worry!

Shroedy · 19/03/2024 09:15

@Loz365 @Daisychain27 its totally normal to not have many symptoms early on (some people don't get them at all!) and for them to come and go - doesn't mean it's easy as the anxiety at this stage is real! I ended up having two early scans with my first, one initial viability scan and another at about 9 weeks after I freaked out because my symptoms disappeared - honestly if there's a midwife with an ultrasound machine who wants to lodge in my spare room for the next couple of months I'd be more than happy to give free room and board for scans on demand 😆- it's normal but it isn't easy!

I'm 5+5 and my symptoms have died down in the last few days. Still frantically testing but it's so frustrating have to wait weeks for confirmation and second guessing everything! I don't want to have horrid morning sickness but a just little just for reassurance would be good!

Mummysparrow · 19/03/2024 09:42

@piechipsgravy raspberries are an amazing source of fibre and kiwis with their skin are really good for regular bowel movements. I think it is 2 a day that is recommended to keep bowel moving. Hopefully that helps x

Mummysparrow · 19/03/2024 09:44

For those worry about symptoms, try not worry. I am 6 weeks pregnant and other constipation and tiredness I don't have a lot of other symptoms. My last pregnancy was the same with some indigestion thrown in and I have a healthy 2 year old. I would say enjoy feeling a little normal before lightening crotch and hands punching you in the cervix starts 🤣
