Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

@Sunandstars28 the hip pain is the worst for me right now, working at my desk is so hard it’s better if I’m standing or lay flat. Nausea is mainly in the morning in waves, we are travelling to Bath for the weekend and I’m sat with a sick bowl in my lap 😂

@shohopeful I had a giant sofa cushion between me last night which helped 😂 I had no idea you could get this so early on!

ECH11 · 16/03/2024 10:50

@Daisychain27 I'm 7+1 today and honestly have no symptoms.. no sore boobs, no nausea just nothing! If I had to really stretch I would say maybe I'm feeling tired but I have a 1.5 year old and I'm also anxious about counting down to my scan in a week so tbh tiredness could definitely be from those things!

Hopefully we are just very lucky on the symptom front but I can't deny that it definitely causes a lot of stress not suffering from at least something! (anyone suffering from sickness is probably completely rolling their eyes at this post, so I'm sorry if you are struggling with any symptoms in these early days! Just an anxious time over all I think until we got those positive scans..)

Kinsters · 16/03/2024 11:10

A game changer for me with night time hip pain was putting a spare single duvet on top of the mattress and sleeping on top of that, it really cushioned everything very well. But the best thing was doing physio - I went every couple of weeks and she pushed my hip joints back into alignment. With DD I never found a good physio and I was in so much pain the whole way through, with DS I had amazing physio and it was such a difference.

Loz365 · 16/03/2024 11:49

@Daisychain27 yep I've not really had any symptoms. Occasional twinge, a bit of brown spotting. Yesterday I was absolutely knackered but I've woken up with a cold today so that might be why. Honestly if I didn't have hundreds of positive tests I wouldn't know I was pregnant 😂

Charandbaby92 · 16/03/2024 11:51

Anyone else having crazy vivid dreams?! I'm not usually a dreamer but I'm having multiple a night to the point I'm convinced it's real and I'm awake and then I actually wake up! Never had this with my other pregnancies. Is it just me 😂

Me!! Last night I dreamt my best friend had a baby boy (she's not even pregnant), everything was so vivid and weird. I even dreamt he was called Miralgo and have no idea where that word has even came from 🤣 I text her at 4.45am telling her 😂

piechipsgravy · 16/03/2024 13:49

I'm not having vivid dreams and have a bit of FOMO. Had 1 weird dream the other day but nothing super crazy yet!

Is anyone struggling to sleep? I get to sleep easily, but am waking up without fail at 4am with hip ache and nausea and then can’t get back to sleep. Feel like I’ve been hit by a truck already 😴

I had awful hip pain in my first pregnancy, especially at night, and then didn't in my second. The main thing that changed was what I did to try and strengthen the muscles in that area. Second time round I did pregnancy yoga, aquanatal, swimming, and walked more. I'll be doing the same this time. Too early for pregnancy yoga and aquanatal, so just doing normal yoga and swimming for now.

Hi all, feeling a bit deflated as we have just come back from our early scan which we booked in. I thought I was 6 weeks and was hoping to see a heartbeat, however they have put us at 5 weeks as there was no obvious heartbeat. They have advised us to go back in 2 weeks for another scan as we could only see the sac and fetal pole. Feeling really anxious as I'm always thinking the worst. Has this happened to anyone else?

I’m the same!! Stupidly googled earlier ‘is it normal to not have vivid dreams in early pregnancy’.

Yes this exact thing happened to me and it was because I’d ovulated a week late. Do you know what cycle day you ovulated? I’ve just been back after waiting 10 days for a second scan and they saw baby & heartbeat 🥰 fingers crossed the same happens to you x

Butterfly134 · 16/03/2024 15:22

@ttcbabyno1x
Thank you so much for you response, so pleased that you got to see a little heartbeat 💕. Yes I think I ovulated a week late too- I have just checked and for my last cycle I didn't ovulated until around cycle day 18, which is when I got my positive ovulation test. Fingers crossed things are ok x

Daisychain27 · 16/03/2024 15:35

Thanks everyone :)

@Charandbaby92 yes I’ve been having crazy dreams since about 5/6DPO. That’s actually one of the reasons I did a pregnancy test in the first place, I’ve never had them so vivid. I’ve had insomnia too which isn’t like me. So I guess I do technically have some symptoms then!

mrssunshinexxx · 16/03/2024 15:53

Hi ladies hope it's ok to join I'm due 26th Oct but previous births have been 5/6 overdue which would take me into November.
Very shock pregnancy currently 7+5 , scan booked for 13+2 feels a lifetime away
Already have 2 girls who are 2 and 3 x

RedCords · 16/03/2024 17:00

Welcome and Congrats to the new joiners :)

SouthwestSis · 16/03/2024 17:26

Hi all, tentatively joining as I had a chemical in Nov and an early loss in Jan, but I'm now 4+4 (pretty confident as I did OPKs).
Starting to have some slight nausea and tiredness which is going to be a challenge as I'm starting night shifts for work tonight.

Sorry to hear your news @Butterfly134, I'm trying to decide timing of when I book an early scan, I'm thinking I will try and wait for 8 weeks and just keep tracking line progression now but we'll see how I get on.

That will put you back a few days then and its completely normal for them to not be able to see much before 6 weeks so could definitely be the explanation. X

FlyOnTheWall89 · 16/03/2024 19:25

@Butterfly134 hi! Yes! I went for a scan at what I thought was 6 weeks and they could only see gestational sac and yolk sac, nothing else. I went back 8 days later (yesterday) and baby was there with healthy heartbeat! Hopefully all will be fine, you just went a bit early. Everything is so small rn, a few days make a difference! X

Starrysky812 · 16/03/2024 19:45

@CadoAvo I wish I'd had the foresight to save mine to be able to compare! I did another one this morning and the line is getting darker. Still not quite as dark as control line but moving in the right direction, you reckon? Xx

Looks really good!! 😁🤞🏼

I'm doing them every 2 days now and today is my "day off" and I miss it 🤣

DaringlyDizzy · 16/03/2024 20:43

So I got my second set of results... HCG went from a 86 to a measly 104 after 50 hours. They dont know if its a MMC or an ectopic so I will have bloods on Monday and we will go from there.

I am shattered. This entire time I was too scared to hope but once I saw the digital and the words I couldnt help it. Now i feel like an idiot. It feels so impossible.

Thank you to all the support. I will keep an eye on the thread and will be here with congratulations come November.

waryandbored · 16/03/2024 20:45

So sorry @DaringlyDizzy that you’ve had this result. Look after yourself xx

shohopeful · 16/03/2024 20:47

Aw @DaringlyDizzy I'm so sorry. I really hope you don't need too much medical intervention and it's over with quickly so you can figure out your next steps. It's so shitty and I don't think we are told enough about all the risks until we're in it. I hope you've got lots of support and some things in the diary to look forward to xxx
