Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Hi, can I join?

I found out on 12/3 and am 5+1. It’s my first so completely new to this journey and have no idea what’s going on! I’ve got mild nausea and feeling tired but no other symptoms so far.

If you self register with an NHS maternity service, how long until they contact you to book in for first appointment? I tried going through my GP but they just pointed me in the direction of the self registration.

thanks!

Congratulations! All new welcome 🤗 I was told 3 working days til they gave me my booking appointment which happened. And then my booking in appointment is around 10 weeks. We have a Facebook page for anyone who would like to join us over there ☺️x

piechipsgravy · 15/03/2024 15:46

@1yearplan sending you love! It's frustrating you need to wait another week to find out more but also positive that there's still lots of reasons for hope!

piechipsgravy · 15/03/2024 15:46

@Sunandstars28 I registered 1 week 6 days ago (at 4 + 1). I'm 6 weeks today and still not heard anything so definitely depends on your area!

Sunandstars28 · 15/03/2024 15:55

Thanks everyone! I guess it’s reassuring to know it can take a while for them to contact me, but I’m driving myself mad with anticipation and worry that everything is ok! I don’t think I can wait until 10 weeks lol

Mumtobeno2 · 15/03/2024 16:26

@Sunandstars28 it does feel like a long wait in the beginning. This pregnancy feels like it's a lot longer already than my first, which could just be I found out 3 weeks earlier as my first wasn't planned. Your booking appointment is usually around 10 weeks is for them to record both you and your partners family history, your own history and then to look at any things you might be worried about etc. From memory I'm sure they take blood samples and maybe urine..not sure if that helps with the anticipation and what to expect.

Sending you love @DaringlyDizzy.

I had a scan today after the bleed. There's a sac but no yolk sac or fetal pole yet, so the scan was inconclusive. I'm currently measuring 5w5d, which is what my app says too. My HCG is high, but the doctor said it would be due to the sac being present. My cervix is currently closed. I've been prescribed progesterone and will be rescanned on Friday. It's all just a waiting game again. Still no symptoms.

Oh, keeping everything crossed for you. You must be so worried.

hicketypickety · 15/03/2024 17:32

@1yearplan and @DaringlyDizzy sending you hope and positivity and all the luck in the world. Flowers

waryandbored · 15/03/2024 17:33

So sorry to those of you that are going through a tough and worrying time. My thoughts are with you.

I’ve had a horrible acidy feeling in my throat today. Constantly thirsty too. I don’t remember this when I had my first. Apart from that, no other real symptoms still! I think I’m 5+2 today, due 13/11.

Charandbaby92 · 15/03/2024 17:57

Sparksi · 15/03/2024 13:49

Congratulations!! I’m due the day after you but only make it 4+3? How are you dating?

Congratulations!! One of my apps says 5w, the other says 4w6d so im going off those. My last period was 12/02 but my cycles are 23 days and I ovulated really early. X

H20202 · 15/03/2024 18:35

Hi all 👋

I’m 5w5d, due 18th Nov following ectopic last year. No children, 38.

I tested positive 9dpo with a very very faint line and has been getting really dark since. My lines stayed very faint with ectopic and not experiencing any pain as a of yet so got my fingers crossed.

I’ve spoken to EPAU and will get a 6 week scan end of the month. I also would have been due next week so it’s been a strange few days

Haven’t really been letting myself think about it too much as so worried it won’t be viable - decided not to book my booking appt until I know after my scan.

boobs very full and sore, twinges and pulling coming in waves, hungry and feeling a little sick every now and again.
also getting the odd blob of jelly like yellow discharge (sorry!!) I tested for BV, negative and walk in ruled out thrush but said they wouldn’t know what’s normal as they’re not gyne 🙄
if anyone else is or has experienced the same please let me know!

praying for a uterine viable pregnancy 🙏🙏🙏

Loz365 · 15/03/2024 18:47

So lovely to see so many new joiners!

@1yearplan gosh still in limbo, but at least the measurements match up to what you thought it should be and hopefully they'll be able to see more next week x

Fatigue hit me like a train today, fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon and could go to bed now 😴

Figtree11 · 15/03/2024 18:58

Nice to see lots of BFPs 😊
Was hoping someone might know more about conception timelines.

Following a MC I’ve been having long cycles. And I don’t know when I ovulated. How many weeks would you think I am?! I’m thinking between 5 and 6.

Timeline is -
Last period mid January, so not using this to base a due date from as it was a very long cycle
Negative test - 29th Feb
Faint positive - 2nd March
Each day they got darker, and I got 2-3 weeks on a digital 9th March

So based on the tests (and not the period) does 5-6 weeks sound about right?

KM89 · 15/03/2024 19:02

Hi Everybody.

We tried for a long time for our last pregnancies so this was quite a shock after only having sex once this time haha

Due date 17th November

I have a September 2021 girl and had a MMC before her.

X

ttcbabyno1x · 15/03/2024 19:04

Hi everyone, please can I join?
I am 7w3d in my first pregnancy! I’ve had some continuous spotting for the past 2 weeks so I’ve had 3 scans so far! First was at what I thought was 6 weeks but was actually 5 (I ovulated a week late) so they saw the sac but nothing else, second was on Monday and saw baby & heartbeat and third was yesterday because the bleeding had got heavier. All seems okay they can’t find the source of the bleeding. Slightly worrying but hoping for the best!

Symptoms are nausea, exhaustion, sensitive to smells and the thought of certain foods makes me gag.

Hoping everything goes smoothly for us all 🤍 I have requested to join the Facebook page.

Welshcake15 · 15/03/2024 19:29

I'm still having problems joining the Facebook group! 🙈

I don't know if it's an issue with the link or not.

omghavingababy · 15/03/2024 20:35

The link is weird , I've had on going issues with it , it "expires" after a certain amount of people click on it
So it means I have to update it every now and then, this is the new one:

fb.me/g/p_zDQrMSjeWjLfQATF/kmkULYMI

Let me know if anyone has any issues
There are 41 of us in it now ☺️xx

Yep I would say so. I would go with 5 and a half weeks from now till told otherwise

For me the problem is that I click on it and it just takes me to my Facebook home page on the app. Or it just does nothing. It's really strange!

Charandbaby92 · 15/03/2024 21:51

Hi can someone screenshot the FB group and share please, links aren't working for me and when I search so many come up! Thanks.
Also, can friends on FB see if you join a group? Does it come up on my newsfeed 😬 as obviously its a secret for now 👶🏻

Thank you @Sparksi needed some reassurance that what I had worked out sounded about right 😊

Starrysky812 · 15/03/2024 22:01

Hi ladies, I'm considering booking in for a scan around 6 weeks, just for peace of mind. Are there any disadvantages of doing that so early? When I was pregnant with DD I didn't even really know it was an option so just waited for dating scan, but thought it might be nice to have the extra reassurance this time round xx

omghavingababy · 15/03/2024 22:07

@Charandbaby92 @Welshcake15

I would screenshot but no point as it's literally private secret / you can't search for it or no one can see it unless you're invited

I can add you by email that has worked for others

Another person has said they had to copy and paste link into browser rather than clicking on the link, and it worked that way

NaomiMarcus89 · 15/03/2024 22:12
