Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

@Jellybelly888 how reassuring, so lovely to hear your scan went well!

piechipsgravy · 13/03/2024 13:15

@Jellybelly888 that is the best news! So happy for you! I'll be 6+3 when I have my scan on Monday, hoping I can report back the same 🤞🏻

malant · 13/03/2024 13:17

Hi all. Hope everyone is keeping ok and I’m sorry to hear of those experiencing issues - I hope it all works out.

I mentioned before that I’d booked an early scan for when I’m 8 weeks (well 8+2, next Sunday) - but I’ve had a bit of spotting and bleeding again this week so I’ve brought it forward to this Sunday.

I don’t really feel as though it’s going to be good news but I would like to know either way. If I’d waited, my NHS scan would be at 12+4 which seems so far away!

omghavingababy · 13/03/2024 14:01

@shohopeful ahhh scan twins! I'll be thinking of you! We can nervously wish the days away together 🤣 xx

Loz365 · 13/03/2024 14:32

@strawberrycake12 my booking appointment is 15th April when I'll be 10+6. And I won't get my '12 week' scan date until that appointment so I'm also waiting ages.

Thankfully I've got my fertility clinic scan on Monday so only 4 days to wait. Not sure I'd be able to wait until the 12 weeks scan 😆

@Jellybelly888 yay! I'm so happy for you!!

@malant sending positive energy your way. There's lots of reasons for spotting and lots of women with healthy pregnancies and babies have spotting throughout. Keeping everything crossed for you ❤️

Starrysky812 · 13/03/2024 14:40

@Loz365 my booking is 15th April too! I'll be 8+5 then. I got my scan date at the same time (14th May - 12+6) - isn't it annoying that different health boards have their own way of doing things and we can't all just get our appointments at the start!

y0rkier0se · 13/03/2024 14:43

Hi,
I’m new here 👋
I’m 6+3, first pregnancy, a bit terrified!
Had my booking in appointment and scan date has come through for 26th April when I’ll be 12+5, which seems so long away! I’ve booked a private one for 6th April when I’ll be 9+6. I’ve started with quite bad nausea this week and struggling to keep anything down!

Westy22 · 13/03/2024 14:47

Tentatively joining at 5+5 weeks pregnant after a MC last May, very nervous. Think I'm slightly ahead as I had a scan at EPU Monday due to some pain in the early hours and all was well at they saw a little flicker of a heartbeat 💓 they don't seem concerned at all and have said they will rescan on the 25th as some extra reassurance for me. 🙏 will try and catch up with previous posts x

No major symptoms just on/off daily dull aches and some nausea and breast ache x

Loz365 · 13/03/2024 14:48

@Starrysky812 yes! It's so annoying that they do things so differently. The most annoying thing is I need to make sure I can fit the appointments around work, makes it much easier if I have a few weeks notice. Just hoping I don't have to wait weeks for the 12 week scan when my booking appointment is so late!

Starrysky812 · 13/03/2024 15:01

@Loz365 I'd be back on the phone to see if i could bring the booking appt forward a bit - but I'm maybe just too impatient! 😂

Berts87 · 13/03/2024 15:26

Hi all,
can I join? I’ve been in the background since the start of the month. Currently 6+3 based on LMP. 4th pregnancy however two previous MMC and one successful round of ivf. Conceived naturally twice since my round of ivf in 2022, one ended in mmc in August 2023. Currently prescribed progesterone from EPU due to my losses. Really anxious, trying not to think about it but can’t help googling.
Been having really strong nausea however today I’ve had nothing?

1yearplan · 13/03/2024 15:44

Hoping everything goes well with your scan @malant.
@Jellybelly888 I'm glad your scan went well!

Jellybelly888 · 13/03/2024 16:31

Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. I was a bag of nerves going into the scan but they put us at ease straight away and said they saw the heartbeat. Still a lot of hurdles to get over but I suppose we have to celebrate the wins as they come? It’s just dragging, living day by day and wishing for 12 weeks to be here already.

@malant sorey to hear you’re spotting. I spotted on and off with my DS between 6 and 9 weeks. Hope everything goes ok for you.

@Berts87 I’m on progesterone too, how are you finding it? I’ve been alternating between vaginal and rectal insertion because it’s so messy and both come with different pros and cons!

Berts87 · 13/03/2024 16:36

@Jellybelly888 hey, I find it okay. I was on it when I had my cycle of ivf, luckily only on it twice a day whereas before it was 3 times. I only do it rectally, never done it vaginally. Not really had any side effects. Glad to take anything if he helps 🤞🏻

Starrysky812 · 13/03/2024 18:16

4 weeks today and having quite intense cramps. I had this for a few weeks with my first pregnancy but not this early. Has anyone else been having cramps early on? Xx

I had some really horrible cramps between 4-5 weeks! Still getting them occasionally now at 5 + 5 too but definitely lessening.

Starrysky812 · 13/03/2024 18:38

@piechipsgravy oh thank you! That's really reassuring! 🙏❤️

Habidy1 · 13/03/2024 19:10

Hi all! I am hoping to join this community - I am 4 weeks and 1 day, my first ever positive line 😊 looking like I’ll be due mid November, but yet to call docs as I’m still in the care of my IVF clinic. Nice to meet you all!

Westy22 · 13/03/2024 19:35

I'm still getting dull achey feelings every other day at 5+6 @Starrysky812 had an early scan on Monday as I had extreme cramping for about 15 minutes and all was perfect and a little heartbeat so that has helped. Telling myself it's my body adjusting x

luc243 · 13/03/2024 19:40

Hi all! I’m 4+6 (5 weeks tomorrow yay!) with my first baby. Been trying for over a year so feels very surreal! Only found out on Monday. Got my booking appointment today for 12th April and scan letter will be in the post with a date! Telling parents this weekend when we see them in person 🥹 symptoms wise I’ve been having stretchy sort of cramps this week and a gross metallic taste on and off.

Liz2681 · 13/03/2024 20:30

@rosegold103 yes the EPU have booked me in for a scan at 6w4d because of my history. This would be my first baby as well, so once I get past the point my last pregnancies reached (5w1d) don't really know what to expect 🙈 no real symptoms here either except sore boobs but don't know how much of that is the progesterone I'm on. Agree though am not looking forward to the morning sickness, so should probably be enjoying these last couple of weeks 😆

Really good to see everyone's updates, and wishing all the best for those having a bit of a rocky time xx

Starrysky812 · 13/03/2024 20:43

@Westy22 wow that's amazing to see a heartbeat so early! Very reassuring. I think with DD, my cramps were mostly gone by about 8 weeks so I'm sure you're right about the body adjusting at the start. It's so hard not to panic and think the worst 😰

Westy22 · 13/03/2024 20:53

I think I'm potentially further ahead tbh @Starrysky812 as I was shocked that there was a little flicker already, but yes it was nice to see and means I've managed to get further than my last pregnancy 🙏🤞
I know exactly how you feel I'm trying so hard to keep thinking positive, do you think you'll have any early scans? They've offered me another on the 25th to try and settle my anxiety a bit more as I was totally convinced it was over when I went in. X I always thought the first 3 months would be a breeze lol so so wrong
