Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Thanks ladies for your well wishes. I've just got home from A&E. my HCG levels are good, but they can't determine where the blood is coming from. If I don't pass the pregnancy tonight I'll be having a scan at EPU tomorrow and a repeat of the blood tests in 48 hours.

I’m so sorry. You’re in my thoughts. Please keep us updated x

1yearplan · 13/03/2024 09:09

Morning everyone. Bleeding has eased off and a scan is booked for Friday, so it's a bit of a waiting game for now. Hope you're all doing well.

Mumtobeno2 · 13/03/2024 09:17

@1yearplan keeping everything crossed for you on Friday, glad to hear bleeding has eased off. Hope you're ok x

muddlingthrou · 13/03/2024 09:29

@1yearplan I also had an episode of bright red blood yesterday with some big clots. It really scared me. I've just been for a blood test at our fertility clinic and waiting to hear on results. I have an early scan booked for Tuesday. Hoping for the best for both of us. The waiting is excruciating!

Today is the day my period is due (why does it feel like I've been pregnant for 5 months not 5 days 😂) did anyone else feel a bit strange on this day? Like I'm very aware it's supposed to be due today and obviously really hoping it does not suddenly come. If you know what I mean 😅

Anyway, line progression is looking good. My partner also picked up a pregnancy pack from our health centre yesterday which contains a massive book, hundreds of leaflets and free vitamins so we had fun reading through all that last night. Although still seems a bit early to be thinking about pain relief and feeding 😅

How are you all feeling today?

Congratulations!! When is your due date?

On a side note if anyone knows the answer -
I just got my booking in appointment and it's set for when I'm around 10 weeks and then they said I'll get my scan date after that.

Does that time scale sound about right? I'm only 4+2 currently. Feels like forever to wait 😅☺️

shohopeful · 13/03/2024 09:35

@muddlingthrou @1yearplan everything crossed for both of you xxxxxxx

@strawberrycake12 thank. Calculator says 20th November!

I was told my booking appointment will be 8-10 weeks and scan will be 12-14 weeks 😩 I've already booked in for a private scan at 8 weeks, so 4 weeks today. Time will go soooooo slooooowly.

That's so exciting!! Congrats again. I'm due on the 18th November ☺️

Thank you that's good to know we are in the same boat. I think I'm going to book an early scan as well, maybe around 8 weeks. I don't think I can wait until 14 weeks 😫

Jellybelly888 · 13/03/2024 10:03

@muddlingthrou and @1yearplan i have everything crossed for you that those little beans are still comfy and well in there.

@Farfarfarfarfaraway sorry to hear you’re upset, I would be the same. I wish I could comfort you by saying something helpful, but I guess you have said it already - your last pregnancy was the same at this stage and worked out all ok. I know it will be difficult not to worry, these next few weeks will feel very long.

I have my early scan today due to previous MC. I’m 6w2d according to my app. I am just terrified that this little baby bubble we are in will be burst today and I’m a bag of nerves. 😟

shohopeful · 13/03/2024 10:05

@Jellybelly888 good luck today. Please keep us posted. Sending all good thoughts! Xxxx

@Jellybelly888 good luck! Let us know how you get on x

1yearplan · 13/03/2024 10:16

Good luck with your scan today @Jellybelly888. Hopefully you'll see a lovely strong heartbeat fluttering away.

omghavingababy · 13/03/2024 10:38

Good luck @Jellybelly888 all will be fine I'm sure 🙌🏼

@1yearplan ohhhh HCG seeming fine and bleeding stopped , you are so brave! Keeping everything crossed xx

@hicketypickety are you my molar pregnancy twin? Have you booked in an early scan yet? I'm going to ring the early pregnancy unit today. I'm actually unsure if they'll give me one as I've had a successful pregnancy after my molar. Unsure if it's same rules for baby number 2. We shall see
Remind me of your due date again

hicketypickety · 13/03/2024 10:42

@omghavingababy yes that's me! I think by dates I'm around 5+2/3 and due on 10/11 Nov. I was going to call them Monday if all still seems to be ok by then. I think they should still scan you early?

How are you all feeling today?

Mine is due tomorrow and I'm super nervous in case it comes! I even did another hcg test strip today for some reassurance but the line was still not very strong so it's done the opposite and made me more worried! I keep telling myself that I'm still 2 days away from having missed a period so hcg levels will probably still be relatively low. But can't help but worry! 😅

CadoAvo · 13/03/2024 11:14

@Starrysky812 as long as a line is there then that's good news. I didn't test yesterday but my one from this morning was deffo a lot darker and today is the day period is due so don't worry too much!! I'm going to test again on Friday and Sunday, hoping to get a dye stealer soon!

omghavingababy · 13/03/2024 11:42

hicketypickety · 13/03/2024 10:42

@omghavingababy yes that's me! I think by dates I'm around 5+2/3 and due on 10/11 Nov. I was going to call them Monday if all still seems to be ok by then. I think they should still scan you early?

So I just rung the early pregnancy unit directly this morning (I haven't even registered with my midwife/GP or anything yet) they booked me in for an early scan because of the molar, no questions asked!
They told me because it's my 2nd then I get one at 8 weeks, but if it was my 1st then it's 6 weeks (which I remember from before)
Good luck - just ring them, mine were lovely. I just found the number off Google

hicketypickety · 13/03/2024 11:45

@omghavingababy that's good news! How far along are you? My DH is in France for work (ugh) so I won't call them til Monday (he's not back till Friday evening)

Elixabeth · 13/03/2024 12:21

@strawberrycake12 I think it varies a lot by area, I got my booking appointment and 12 week scan dates a few days after I did my referral, I'll be 7/8 weeks at my booking appointment next week, and just under 12 at my scan... It does feel like forever to wait!

Starrysky812 · 13/03/2024 12:39

@CadoAvo yes I was also hoping for a dye stealer but maybe still a bit too early for me! I didn't find out I was expecting DD until the after my period was due and only tested to rule it out as I was planning to have wine that night! So I was already past the period mark that time. This time I've found out 5/6 days before af actually due and it seems a bit less real and a bit more precarious for some reason. Hopefully I'll feel more reassured when tomorrow is over and af definitely doesn't show up! Xx

Jellybelly888 · 13/03/2024 12:46

Update: got to see baby. Measuring bang on 6w2d and strong heartbeat seen! Can breath now for a bit x

shohopeful · 13/03/2024 12:47

Oh @Jellybelly888 I am so happy for you! Xxx

@hicketypickety I'm 5 weeks tomorrow (I think) and the EPAU have booked me in for 2 weeks time on Good Friday!

@Jellybelly888 this is bloody amazing!!! So pleased for you ❤️ what a rollercoaster of emotions
