Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Yay! Did you find out today too?

Nope, a week ago. My cycles are quite long - 34 days! So my last period was 4th Feb. Nearly 6 weeks ago.

I'm 15DPO and we're meant to fly to Asia in 2 weeks (14hour flight) and a bit anxious about it. Would you guys get early scan at 6w3d a day before or cancel? We paid a lot of money for this holiday, but we also really want this baby (we already have one 8 year old and coming with us too).

We are flying to Mauritius next month for a holiday. I'll be having a scan before I go (I'd have done so regardless of flying). I flew in my last pregnancy too and it was fine. If you're in business you'll have plenty of room to stretch out. Drink plenty of water and move around lots and maybe wear some compression socks. Have a wonderful time!

Hey everyone. So I had my scan at the EPU today, they could see a small gestational sac but no yolk sac so couldn’t tell me anything. I’m going to be rescanned in 2 weeks. This happened in my last pregnancy (scanned early and showed gestational sac only) and it all turned out ok so im just hoping that it’s the same again, but spent a lot of today crying.

anyway, I’ve joined the Facebook group but not brave enough to post yet until I know all is ok.

Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is going to be okay.

Liz2681 · 12/03/2024 16:16

@rosegold103 oh no that's annoying! Yes I have massively sore boobs but not much else!

To be honest, I wouldn't worry too much about line progression testing. I'm only doing it because I'm anxious as a result of my last two MCs but there are so many variables to it I'll probably stop soon to prevent it becoming a source of anxiety. I have a scan booked a couple of weeks from now so that should provide some reassurance 😌

That sounds really promising if you've had this situation before! Sorry you're feeling upset. Have lots of rest and be kind to yourself today. Is there anyone with you?

All fingers crossed for you! Are you having an early scan? I'm thinking about maybe doing one between 6-8 weeks just so I know it's all good... it's my first and first time being pregnant so a little anxious! Especially with no real symptoms yet 🙈 although I'm not thrilled thinking about the morning sickness that may be coming!

TinkRose · 12/03/2024 17:27

Is anyone else feeling like they’re looking a bit like they have an obvious bump?! I’ve put on about 2kg since I got my +ve which worries me, I’ve never had a completely flat stomach but I now just have a really pronounced lower abdomen! I’m getting married in a few weeks - my dress fit BEAUTIFULLY and then the next day I got my +ve.

Fingers crossed all is well with the baby 🤞🏼 such a long wait, hopefully it will go in quickly for you.

hicketypickety · 12/03/2024 19:32

@Farfarfarfarfaraway I hope your rescan goes well, the next few weeks will no doubt be anxious for you but I hope you have some good support.

I'm currently too scared to ring EPAU and book an early scan despite the fact that I need to have one because of past history Hmm DH is away in France for work all week so I have told myself if nothing has changed by the time he's back on Friday I'll do a self referral on Monday. Worried as I read that progesterone can hide bleeding so fearing the worst tbh. But simultaneously trying to hope for the best. It's bloody exhausting !!

Figtree11 · 12/03/2024 20:23

@Farfarfarfarfaraway my fingers are firmly crossed for you xx

@tink yes my jeans are mega tight! Can’t say I’ve been eating the best the past week or so which hasn’t helped. But I’ve got definite bloating going on

Hi ladies, I think I'm out. I've had really heavy bleeding this evening and pain in my upper arm. Currently in a&e, but I know this journey is over for me. Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies

Thanks ladies for your well wishes. I've just got home from A&E. my HCG levels are good, but they can't determine where the blood is coming from. If I don't pass the pregnancy tonight I'll be having a scan at EPU tomorrow and a repeat of the blood tests in 48 hours.

CadoAvo · 12/03/2024 23:58

@1yearplan I'm so sorry. Thinking of you 💕

shohopeful · 13/03/2024 06:47

@1yearplan it could be a subchorionic haemotoma. It's blood from outside the cervix (I read about it during my last pregnancy). Doesn't mean MC. Everything crossed for you. Hope you got some sleep xxx
