Baby due Nov 2024

Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

@rosegold103 ah that's great! I'm doing ok actually. I'm slowly seeing my lines progress, and they're now darker than they ever were when I miscarried. The EPU have also put my on progesterone due to my history, so I feel like I've done all I can at this point.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?

I've got a stinking cold 😂 but apart from that just sore boobs and weeing all the time but I did that anyway 😂 will probably test again tonight and see if it's darker, not really sure how long you're supposed to do that for just took the first test and digital then thought that was it but have seen people talking about continuing to test and the lines darkening etc. feel like there's lots to learn 🙈

Sparksi · 12/03/2024 09:44

I want to test tonight to see 2-3 but I’m 14dpo, if it says 1-2 it’ll set my anxiety off!! Has anyone here had 2-3 yet?

Mumtobeno2 · 12/03/2024 09:53

@Sparksi I had 2to3 yesterday, my period according to my app was due today. My cycles are irregular though so I think I ovulated early. Will just have to wait for a dating scan to be sure when baby is due as I've got anywhere from the 14th to the 18th Nov at the moment and my first positive was allegedly 8dpo but was a very clear line so think again I was earlier than my app was telling me.

Chaz693 · 12/03/2024 09:56

@Sparksi I'm 16dpo and still only getting 1-2 weeks. So I'm getting anxious now. X

Also - I’ve posted another thread about this but just thought I’d post in here too for some solidarity rather than advice… has anyone been with their partner for not very long at all and if so how are you finding it? I have only been with mine for 3 months but we have lived together for most of that time (he’d have been paying rent somewhere an hours drive away rather than sharing mine with me so it just made sense), people raised their eyebrows at him moving in after a couple of weeks and thought it all sounded really red flaggy which I get is how it sounds on paper… anyway I’m scared to tell certain friends as I feel they will disapprove and think I’m stupid, hopefully there’s some others on this thread maybe in a similar position who’ll understand! For context I’m 31, no kids, bf is the same.

Not quite the same but I moved into my partners house after 3 months and we got engaged at 7 months. I'm sure it raised some eyebrows but no one said anything to our face. We will be 3 years together this month and we married in November.

You just know when it feels right ☺️

One sided twinges! from the side you ovulated at is normal, btw! That ovary releases pregnancy hormones until the placenta takes over. It’s a good sign :)

Good to know, it's defo my left side!! Twinges and random spots on my face too 🤣

HappyOP · 12/03/2024 10:15

I'm 15DPO and we're meant to fly to Asia in 2 weeks (14hour flight) and a bit anxious about it. Would you guys get early scan at 6w3d a day before or cancel? We paid a lot of money for this holiday, but we also really want this baby (we already have one 8 year old and coming with us too).

A little different but my now husband moved in with me after we'd only known each other three weeks! From another country.

We've now been together 8years and got married last spring. Sometimes it just feels right. And I'd have been the first person to be judgey about it from the outside as well!

Thank you. I've requested ☺️

the link isn't working for me, it doesn't show me anything. Can you send the new one please?

At 14dpo mine still said 1-2 weeks, I got my 2-3 weeks at 5+1. I've run out of tests now, still got 2-3 weeks at 5+5, so accepted I won't get the 3+ weeks. I know those tests can be really inaccurate too so I'm not too worried

I'm 15dpo and tested 2-3 this morning. Last one I did on Thursday and was 1-2, so it was accurate for me.

Joining this for a bit of general moral support. Around 5.5 weeks. Due somewhere between 9th and 11th November, depending on which app you look at. Second baby. Symptoms wise so far everything playing out as it did first time round, feeling generally a bit grotty and off, can tell hormones are beginning to do their work.

Where are you visiting? If you wanted an early scan you could get it done here for much cheaper (I live in Malaysia - you can get a scan for about £10 if you go to a scanning place rather than a Dr. An obstetrician will scan you for £30 or so). I guess just check that you're covered by travel insurance if anything should go wrong.

CleoSolILove · 12/03/2024 10:44

@CadoAvo @SewButtons thank you both 😊 my mum and closest friend who’ve both met my bf are happy for me so I’m just going to focus on that and not on the opinions of naysayers!

Thanks for this. It’s eased off now so I’m not as worried. Can I fast forward please? I hate the anxiety of early pregnancy!

We're going to Japan and then Korea, I guess I could get scan there as well, but not sure if there would be many english speaking clinics.

Oh how exciting! Yes maybe not so much English spoken there and probably not as cheap as in SE Asia.

Just my personal thoughts, but if it was me I’d still go. I’ve flown to Sri Lanka when in early pregnancy with no problems

Wooo someone with the same due date as me!!

Farfarfarfarfaraway · 12/03/2024 15:25

Hey everyone. So I had my scan at the EPU today, they could see a small gestational sac but no yolk sac so couldn’t tell me anything. I’m going to be rescanned in 2 weeks. This happened in my last pregnancy (scanned early and showed gestational sac only) and it all turned out ok so im just hoping that it’s the same again, but spent a lot of today crying.

anyway, I’ve joined the Facebook group but not brave enough to post yet until I know all is ok.
