Baby due Nov 2024

Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

I really hate the first trimester. I don't even get that sick but it just feels like a constant mild hangover.

Anybody else woke up feeling like a randy teenager 🙈🙊 it's even weirder as I was so sick yesterday!

Argh. I mentioned a few times my lines were super faint and I wanted to get a digital. I got a two pack yesterday and did one. It was a dud and had a book error on it. This morning I did one. It said 1-2 weeks pregnant. I’m nearly 6 weeks. For sure. Definitely didn’t ovulate late as we only DTD twice last month due to travel and sickness etc. It should be showing 3+ weeks

What can I do? Is it worth going to the GP? Should I just wait? Is this going to end in miscarriage? My levels are clearly low

I read a thread on here yesterday saying the CB digital are notoriously unreliable. I also did one yesterday and it said 1-2 weeks. I think I am around 5 weeks now. I’m not sure if the GP can/will do anything but I’m sure someone else has experience. Best of luck x

@DaringlyDizzy I've heard so much about these tests being incredibly unreliable!

I’ve got some real crampy pain today. It’s all on one side very close to my hip and slightly in my lower back too. It’s making me feel quite worried but I’m just trying to stay positive!

I’m 4+4 today according to my Flo app and just noticed a tiny bit of very light pink when I wiped just now. My boobs are also not as big/heavy as yesterday 😕 I don’t feel very hopeful this morning!

@waryandbored I've had that too! It could be due to lower levels of magnesium because pregnancy depletes it apparently!

Oh that’s interesting, I haven’t read that. I do supplement magnesium though.

My boobs have varied loads! Hope the spotting doesn't continue x

Thank you @piechipsgravy 🙏🏼 I’m really hoping to get to 7-8 weeks for an early reassurance scan, so fingers crossed I get that far. I’ve done a lot of googling this morning and it seems that sometimes a bit of pink can be normal. I had implantation bleeding in my first pregnancy but it was before I got a positive test.

I’ve got some more tests arriving tonight so I’ll check for line progression. It’s been pretty good for the last few days though.

Did anyone have really sore boobs last week & this week nothing? Is it normal to have no symptoms? Am about 5/6 weeks I think. I was very bloated on the weekend and not at all today either.

My boobs are definitely less painful today. Still aching but yesterday they were really painful. I remember the same when I was pregnant before and also the bloating - I remember one week not being able to do the button on my work trousers up, then the following week I could!

Does anyone have any good podcast or book recommendations for a first time pregnancy / mum. Thanks 🙏☺️

Also - I’ve posted another thread about this but just thought I’d post in here too for some solidarity rather than advice… has anyone been with their partner for not very long at all and if so how are you finding it? I have only been with mine for 3 months but we have lived together for most of that time (he’d have been paying rent somewhere an hours drive away rather than sharing mine with me so it just made sense), people raised their eyebrows at him moving in after a couple of weeks and thought it all sounded really red flaggy which I get is how it sounds on paper… anyway I’m scared to tell certain friends as I feel they will disapprove and think I’m stupid, hopefully there’s some others on this thread maybe in a similar position who’ll understand! For context I’m 31, no kids, bf is the same.

I have been listening to the amateur milf society, one of the first episodes is on pregnancy and it’s so good!

I have barely any symptoms and they seem to vary day to day. Some days my boobs are really sore and heavy, other days they feel fine. Some days I have cramps throughout the day then other days I have nothing. And I've had random spotting thrown in the mix too! But nothing major yet

My boobs aren't sore at all but I was really nauseous for a few days and then it totally disappeared for about a week. I had a good scan though and the nausea is back with a vengeance now. Symptoms definitely do fluctuate during the early weeks.

One sided twinges! from the side you ovulated at is normal, btw! That ovary releases pregnancy hormones until the placenta takes over. It’s a good sign :)

@rosegold103 ah that's great! I'm doing ok actually. I'm slowly seeing my lines progress, and they're now darker than they ever were when I miscarried. The EPU have also put my on progesterone due to my history, so I feel like I've done all I can at this point.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?
