Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

@Farfarfarfarfaraway really hoping the gp will refer you asap, sending lots of sticky vibes

I’m completely spiralling today, had a tiny bit of brown discharge last night and am having yellow discharge today, feeling so anxious

anyone else having yellowy-brown discharge?

Yes! I’m about 6 weeks today and have had it all weekend!

TinkRose · 11/03/2024 17:58

My midwife called today to arrange my booking in appointment, it’s for next week when I’ll only be about 7 weeks so a lot earlier than I expected it to be!

CadoAvo · 11/03/2024 18:08

@Sparksi that's what I thought but I guess different areas have different rules.

I'm hoping time starts to go a bit quicker, the days have dragged since finding out on Friday 😅 I'm getting lots of interesting feelings though. A mild jabbing pain that comes and goes from my left side of tummy. Spots have randomly appeared on the left side of my forehead and neck. A heartburny feeling in my chest that lasted all of 5 mins. I suddenly got very tired after lunch today and had to lie down for 30 mins which was just what I needed 😅

It varies so much! It should be consistent

I having that pain but on the right. Just been reading (panicking that it could be ectopic, even though I have no other symptoms besides I don’t think you’d know or feel that yet???) and the jabby pain comes and goes, had it a bit last night, not at all today, but several bursts of it in the last hour. Some old threads on here suggest you get that pain from where you ovulated and it’s because that ovary / corpus luteum releases progesterone until the placenta takes over.

Definitely treat yourself to a lie down lol. I had to commute into work via train (city centre) today for some training and it has really taken it out of me! Xx

CadoAvo · 11/03/2024 18:22

@Sparksi yeah the jabby pains really threw me off yesterday when I first felt them. My mind immediately goes to something is wrong. But trying to remain calm and it's probably normal. I've a friend who recently went through ectopic at 7/8 weeks and it sounds awful so just really hoping all the twinges and things I will feel are just a normal part of the process!

Chaz693 · 11/03/2024 18:28

I really did think that all these symptoms were far to early for me but I can't deny the fact that the smell of food makes me want to throw up. And this tired feeling is like nothing I've ever known. Struggling to keep my eyes open most of the day. Feel like I could just take a nap. This is all good signs I guess but my tests aren't filling me with confidence my one from this morning was lighter than yesterdays but it's from a different test pack so it could just be that as the test seem to be a little different. I've told myself I'm going to stop testing everyday and only testing maybe twice a week. No bleeding so far which is a good sign. I dunno I keep jumping from convincing myself everything will work out to believing that it's all going to end again.

Sorry for the rant! But got no one else to talk to about all this! X

Loz365 · 11/03/2024 18:32

@Chaz693 rant away! I'd be going insane with this thread to talk on!

I know what you mean about jumping to the worst, every twinge makes me panic and I've had more spotting today. Trying to stay positive but it's hard when you've had losses before and waited so long for a positive test. I'm trying to take each day as it comes, so for today I'm still pregnant 🙃

Thank you!

I keep trying to remind myself that today I am pregnant and just do that every day. But it's when I think of something then I get excited and then instantly go if we make it that far. It's very frustrating. Kinda wish I could just not know I'm pregnant till I'm much further along lol! 😂 less time to worry! X

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/03/2024 18:44

Joining this thread as I'm so far behind most of the October thread. Either due last few days of Oct or early Nov. I've only had 2 cycles since my daughter who is just 1, and I wasn't tracking etc. I think I'm likely 6+2/3/4. Went for a scan last Thursday but it was fairly inconclusive and the doctor thought it was perhaps just before 6 weeks as she couldn't find the baby, just the gestational sac and yolk. Starting feeling sicky at the weekend and I feel the same as I did in early pregnancy with my daughter. I'll have another scan end of this week or beginning of next to see if there is infact a developing embryo in there 🙏🏻.

piechipsgravy · 11/03/2024 18:44

Is there anyone else with relatively mild symptoms at this stage? I'm 5+3 today and I do have waves of nausea but nothing unbearable- there's been maybe 3 occasions in the last week where I've thought 'I might be sick' but on the whole it's very mild nausea and not all the time. I'm also tired but not falling asleep in the day tired- just going to bed earlier and yawning a lot. My boobs are sore but not agony. It's all very bearable at the moment and I hate to say it but I wish I was having a much rougher time so I felt more pregnant!

This was me with my pregnancy with my little boy. Very little symptoms and if hadn't tested I probably wouldn't have known I was pregnant. This time my symptoms have come a lot earlier and are alot worse which is why I was in denial about them. Coz in my head they were way to early x

waryandbored · 11/03/2024 18:47

I have very few symptoms too. I’m tired but I have a 2yo so I’m always tired! My boobs ache and I’ve had some crampy feelings in my pelvis. I vividly remember saying to my partner last time that I wanted more symptoms and then was plagued with all day nausea and sickness until 16 weeks.. at least I knew I was pregnant though!
It’s very early for me - less than 5w I think. Last time I didn’t even find out I was pregnant until 6w.
12 weeks feels so long away!

TinkRose · 11/03/2024 18:48

@FlyOnTheWall89 I had an early scan last Thursday and am in exactly the same boat as you, gonna be a long 2 weeks until my next one.

@piechipsgravy I was exhausted for about a week and had sore boobs but now there is nothing, keep saying I don’t feel pregnant!

rosegold103 · 11/03/2024 18:51

Tested positive yesterday! Tested on a whim 6:30 am 🙈😂 as period was a day late... clear blue (blue dye ones) instantly went ➕ I didn't have to wait more than a few seconds but seemed strong for 4 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ went to get a CB digital at 10am, pregant 2-3 weeks. What do I need to do now? Do I have to keep testing to check it doesn't fade or get lighter? Or just wait until my first docs appointment?

It may be yet to come! My sister only started getting symptoms at 6+4 but was never one sick, only had some food cravings and food aversions. Or you might get away with it! I feel a little bit more tired and also have slightly sore boobs but that is really it! Xx

Butterfly134 · 11/03/2024 19:20

Hi ladies I hope you're all well. I'm just looking for some reassurance really. I think I'm around 6 weeks according to my Flo app and the last time I was pregnant had HG as soon as I found out. I haven't really felt much sickness but put off all food, tired with very sore boobs. I've been getting lots of dull period pains and it's making me very anxious. Is this normal for this point? I can't remember much apart from the HG from
My last pregnancy.

Oh gosh there are 144 messages since I last checked the thread this morning! Is there a new link I can use to join the Facebook group? The last one I tried expired!

Liz2681 · 11/03/2024 19:28

Hi all, mind if I join?

Only got my BFP last Wednesday at 10DPO, so I'm at a little over 4 weeks; according to my pregnancy app I'd be due on 17 Nov. Trying not to stress as I had two chemical pregnancies in Sept and Nov last year but so far everything seems to be going ok! 🙂 booked in for a reassurance scan on the 27th of March so counting down the days!

How is everyone else doing?

1yearplan · 11/03/2024 19:32

I think that sounds normal @Butterfly134
I've not had morning sickness with any of my pregnancies. I really don't feel pregnant at all at this stage, but I'm only 5w 1d at the moment, so maybe it's too early for me. This part is such an anxious time of pregnancy. I can't wait for my first scan in a couple of weeks.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/03/2024 19:34

@TinkRose interesting... do you know how many weeks and days you were then? The sonographer also recommended we wait 2 weeks but I don't think I want to - if there is nothing there, I'll know by this Friday ... I'm 100% past 6 weeks now.

Peaplant20 · 11/03/2024 19:36

Ok I’m caught up I don’t think it was 144 messages after all!

To add to the discussion about GP - I just did a self referral on the hospital website to register with the midwife rather than going through GP. I just typed in the hospital name and then “pregnancy”.

I also have very mild symptoms. It was the same with my last pregnancy for my now 2.5year old so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about! I have very mildly sore boobs (if I poke them!), mild cramping which I think is from constipation and I think my sense of smell has become more sensitive. Oh and definitely more tired but it is way less noticeable than last time bc am always tired now with a toddler lol.

TinkRose · 11/03/2024 19:45

@FlyOnTheWall89 I have very irregular cycles so I don’t know for definite but they said I was measuring between 5 and 6 weeks. I think it was probably 5+3/4 based on when I think I ovulated.

Mumtobeno2 · 11/03/2024 19:59

@piechipsgravy I had similar last time, I found weeks 6 onwards harder. I was nauseous all the time but never sick, it was like permanent travel sickness. I used the anti sickness acupressure wristbands and they made the world of difference. The only other consistent symptoms I had was tiredness and some awful toilet related ones (sorry for the tmi!).

Quiet on there at the minute just introductions etc but having issues with the linking thing so far! Cant wait til we all get to know each other

Think everyone is just wishing time would go quicker / anxious about things / reassurance scans etc - I know I am!!
