Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

I still can’t get the link to work.

unfortunately though I’ve had some bright red bleeding this morning. So I’m just in GP waiting room - hoping to get a referral to EPU, feeling really anxious and low.

Sorry to hear this. I had bleeding at 5/6 weeks with DS and again at about 20 weeks. Very nerve wracking and scary but they never found a cause for it. I got checked out several times as a result which was reassuring so I hope you get some reassurance today.

@Farfarfarfarfaraway So sorry to hear you're going through that, I have everything crossed you get some reassurance today.

Morning ladies - thank you to @omghavingababy for setting up the facebook group. You're more tech savvy than me. I'll send you a WhatsApp so I can be added to the group.

@Farfarfarfarfaraway - sending you all of the love. Let us know how you get on. Hopefully it's all okay. I know it's completely normal for some people to have some bleeding throughout.

piechipsgravy · 11/03/2024 11:39

I've got a really TMI one for you ladies.

I suspected I had thrush last week due to clumpy cervical mucus but had no itching etc. Had a swab at EPU alongside urine sample. They said my urine sample showed signs of UTI so sent it off to the lab. EPU rang Friday to say that the urine sample couldn't be analysed so to do another if I had symptoms which I didn't at the time. Not heard back re: swab.

This morning I've started to get some itchiness/burning in crotch and my DH has just text me to say he's noticed blood in his semen which can be a sign of a urine infection!

I'n going to do another urine sample at GP this evening but they have no appointments re: possible thrush. Has anyone had similar? I don't want to leave it untreated if it will cause harm but also know I'm meant to get sign off for treatments if needed. Feel like it's literally all happening at once!

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that. I had bleeding with my first. EPU couldn’t see a heartbeat but it was on the cusp of when you could. Went a week and a half later and all was well. He’s now 5 this week! I was bleeding a fair amount as well. Apparently it was a cyst that had dislodged or smthg. So please try and not worry too much xx

Noooooogsh · 11/03/2024 12:03

@Farfarfarfarfaraway really hoping the gp will refer you asap, sending lots of sticky vibes

I’m completely spiralling today, had a tiny bit of brown discharge last night and am having yellow discharge today, feeling so anxious

anyone else having yellowy-brown discharge?

Kinsters · 11/03/2024 12:18

I've bled in all my pregnancies. It usually starts around the 6 week mark when my period should be due. This one I had bleeding at 4 weeks but I've had a scan and it's ok.

A source of comfort for me is this study which shows that spotting isn't linked to later miscarriage. So if you have spotting and it stops you don't have to worry as your pregnancy isn't at any more risk than someone without spotting. Of course its not possible to tell whether it's just spotting or the start of a miscarriage. Early pregnancy is so stressful. Actually all pregnancy and motherhood itself is stressful!

@CadoAvo your MIL will feel very perceptive and pleased with herself when she finds out!!

I really really appreciate all your good vibes - thank you so much. I never had any bleeding in my last pregnancy, which is why this is such a shock. The GP was amazing and I’ve got an EPU scan tomorrow first thing.

So not too long to wait, I just need to stay off Google now.

Hi, congratulations! I got my positive yesterday and had a 1-2 weeks on a CB digital today. My last period began 5/2 but I tend to have longer cycles so not reading too much into it. I am still finding it very hard to believe too. I’m sure someone with more knowledge will answer your questions but wanted to say hi!

laurplus4 · 11/03/2024 16:27

hi @waryandbored and congratulations to you!! thank you for replying 💜 i finally managed to make my own thread after 1 hour of trying lol x

Chaz693 · 11/03/2024 16:30

@laurplus4 it all sounds about right for 10dpo. Mine was the same at 10dpo, I also got my digital positive 1-2 a few days ago. So it all sounds good to me. Congratulations. Xx

omghavingababy · 11/03/2024 16:31

@laurplus4 hello and welcome you've posted in the right place and congratulations 🙌🏼 sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy recently

With regards to your line though and your clearblue id definitely say you're pregnant! I didn't do a clearblue digital til 14DPO and got 2-3 weeks
So getting that, and your pink dye at 9DPO is very impressive
I got the faintest faintest is it/isn't it line at 9DPO and still a very faint one at 10/11dpo

Its a really anxious and worrying time for everyone around this time so know that your feelings are valid and completely normal

I'm 19dpo today and hoping for a "dye stealer" test soon....Is anyone around the same DPO as me still taking line progression tests ?

omghavingababy · 11/03/2024 16:32

@Farfarfarfarfaraway I'm sorry to hear but I'm so pleased that you have been booked into an early scan tomorrow morning with no hesitation or hassle
Fingers crossed all is good, take care xx

laurplus4 · 11/03/2024 16:35

aww @omghavingababy thank you so much for replying and your kind words. im just thinking, if my tests look good for 9dpo does that mean there is high hcg therefore less chance of a chemical do you think? im hoping the same thing wont happen again and im absolutely terrified. i cant find anything online concrete about what tests should look like at 9 and 10dpo as i know everyone is different but so thankful to see some colour. i feel so blessed and i want to have a healthy pregnancy. im worried about my age too. i dont think its possible that i can be any further along, so im not sure why the 9dpo line is as apparent as it is for so early on.. thank you and congratulations too 💛💛💛 xx

Meatballsandpasta · 11/03/2024 16:39

Just booked our early scan with the clinic for just after 7 weeks 🥳 starting to feel really real. Nurse said I could tell my GP now or wait until the scan! Eek! It weirdly feels too soon to tell the GP although I know they'll want a heads up to book official NHS 12 week scan. What's everyone else doing?!

omghavingababy · 11/03/2024 16:41

Yes @Meatballsandpasta I thinking the same thing, I feel like it's too soon to tell my GP. What's everyone else doing?

Sparksi · 11/03/2024 16:50

CadoAvo · 11/03/2024 10:28

I've got a private scan booked for 10th April when I should be 8 weeks. Decided to do it at 8 weeks due to being away the week before and hoping to get a strong visual and heartbeat.

I've just phoned the midwife team about booking in and they've said to phone back at 6 weeks and then I'll get booked in although I can go to the health centre now to pick up a pack which contains vitamins, book, leaflets etc. Is this normal or just my weird area? I'm just too impatient haha.

God I thought the tww was a drag but this is going to be painfully slow 😅

Wow, my area is really on it I already have my booking appt, I’ll be 7+6. How odd that you have to wait until 6 weeks to book it?

I’m not going to tell the GP I don’t think, didn’t know there was need to? The midwifery team know.

1yearplan · 11/03/2024 16:59

I only told my GP because I happened to have an appointment for a different reason. I don't think she did anything with the information. I didn't do any tests to confirm, she just told me to go online and fill in a form for the midwifery team.

SewButtons · 11/03/2024 17:00

Hi everyone, I've been lurking since I got my bfp just over a week ago but popping on now as I've had absolutely horrible morning sickness all day today.
I am 5+5 and due date around 7th of November and this is my first pregnancy.

Trying to tell myself that the sickness is a good sign but I had to call in sick to work and spent all day either asleep or throwing up. I tried posting on here earlier but couldn't even look at my phone without setting off the nausea again.
I have an early scan booked next week (for our wedding anniversary) and was planning to tell my bosses after that at the absolute earliest but I really can't afford to be off work long term and I don't know if I should just tell them now.

Loz365 · 11/03/2024 17:06

Welcome to the new joiners! Congratulations!

@omghavingababy I have no symptoms, currently 25dpo and still taking tests every few days just to confirm to myself that I'm still pregnant. Not doing it so much for the dye stealer, I finally got that at 19dpo.

@Meatballsandpasta I had to tell the GP to get the midwife details but they didn't even speak to me, just sent me a text 😂

@Farfarfarfarfaraway sorry to hear about the bleeding but good that you have a scan tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed for you, let us know how it goes.

I've had some more brown spotting today, after having none for over a week I thought I was done but apparently not. Did have one tiny bit of bright red blood but it seems to have stopped and no other symptoms so praying it's nothing to worry about 😩😩 this is such a stressful time 😞

Yes @Meatballsandpasta I thinking the same thing, I feel like it's too soon to tell my GP. What's everyone else doing?

I rang up at 10dpo 🙈 and they sent me text message to register with the midwife team. Im waiting to hear back from them with a date for my first appointment, I'm guessing it's for my bloods etc. they said three days to hear from them for my appointment. I wanted to get in early incase there is a big waiting list. Hoping I'll get my scan dates etc but I don't really know what I'm doing as it's my first 👶
