Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Hello! I’d like to join the fb group too but it won’t work for me either :( thank you for setting it up though! Hope you have a good night shift x

Farfarfarfarfaraway · 11/03/2024 07:23

Hey everyone - id like to join the FB group too! I’m 6 weeks today. Could you resend the link?

omghavingababy · 11/03/2024 07:45

Guys Facebook rules are silly for super private groups they basically expire as soon as 20 people click on it
So please don't click on it unless you want to join

I'm also very aware not everyone will want to join ....so I'm worried this link chat will take up this thread which I don't want to spam up!! Apologies please just ignore and carry chatting on as normal

Elixabeth · 11/03/2024 08:02

Thank you, the link worked for me, I had to copy and paste it on my browser to get it work, so anyone that wants to join try that x

Loz365 · 11/03/2024 08:06

Yes - I only got my BFP yesterday and can’t believe how long I have to wait for the 12 week scan! Considering an early one but also need to save as much money as possible over the next 8 months!

DaringlyDizzy · 11/03/2024 08:51

Morning all!!!

Crazy how some on here are week 6, nearly week 7!! Its dragging by but at the same time crawling.

I am still stressing about line progression. I am yet to get a positive on a cheapy and my CB are faint so I am going to try a digital with both FMU and SMU in the hope itll say pregnant. I did do a digital at 14DPO and it said not pregnant which freaked me out.

I KNOW im pregnant and all my clear blue ones have a clear line, albeit not super dark, and I have symptoms but I just cant cant relax until I either get a DARK line or the word PREGNANT flashing at me!!!

Booked a reassurance scan for 22nd March. We are away next week and I will be 7 weeks and 3 days by the time of the scan. I was trying to eek it out to 8 weeks but that isnt going to happen lol

Thank you, I just did the same and it worked! How exciting!

We have a 6 week scan booked for Wednesday, excited and nervous at the same time. Has anyone else got one booked soon?

Hope you’re all feeling ok x

strawberrycake12 · 11/03/2024 09:12

That's so exciting @Jellybelly888 !! I'm 4 weeks today but I've been looking a possibly booking a scan soon. I'm wondering whether to do 6 weeks or 7/8 ☺️

ECH11 · 11/03/2024 09:26

Morning all!
Hope its OK if I join - my due date is 1st Nov so currently 6weeks3days.. I had an early scan at 6 weeks due to previous ectopic and there was barely anything to see and just a glimmer of a "faint heartbeat" so I'm rebooked in for an 8 week scan for reassurance, hoping this is fairly normal... @Jellybelly888 hope your 6 week scan goes well, would love to know what you see at yours! I don't really have any symptoms at all, just fairly tired but I am running after a 1.5 year old all day so I imagine that has a lot to do with it. Excited to follow everyone's journey on here!!

Jellybelly888 · 11/03/2024 09:46

@ECH11 that's exciting though to see that! We are hoping for a scan as positive as yours on Wednesday. It’s just a reassurance scan really as I’ve had so many MC before I had DS. Hopefully you will see a huge difference between scan at 6 weeks and one at 8 weeks 🩷

@strawberrycake12 how exciting! I suppose it’s whether you feel you want a reassurance scan at 6 weeks, I had to due to early MCs but if not, hold out a bit for 8 weeks so you can see more!

ECH11 · 11/03/2024 10:10

@Jellybelly888 yes I definitely took it as a very positive sign! I'm also quite grateful to be able to have an 8 week scan as, like you, I've had a few previous MC's. Everything crossed for you on Wednesday!! Will you be exactly 6 weeks on that day? Sorry if you have previously mentioned in the thread but how old is you DS?

@strawberrycake12 I'd also suggest waiting out until 8 weeks if you can!! I know how hard it is to wait though and I definitely got reassurance from my 6 week scan but when the sonographer first looked she did say she couldn't clearly see much in the sac which was slightly scary and she couldn't immediately see a flickering heartbeat but thankfully she got a slightly clearer view towards the end and said she saw everything she needed to albeit very 'faint' so it all depends on how patient you can be xx

muddlingthrou · 11/03/2024 10:15

I've got an early scan booked for 19 March as part of my fertility treatment. I'll be 6 weeks 6 days at that point, so hoping to hear a nice strong heartbeat 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

I am feeling knackered and headachy at the moment, but my 2 yo DD had me up in the night so I probably would feel that way anyway! Getting the first waves of nausea which is both reassuring and fills me with fear, as I was so so sick last pregnancy right up until week 16 😩

CadoAvo · 11/03/2024 10:28

I've got a private scan booked for 10th April when I should be 8 weeks. Decided to do it at 8 weeks due to being away the week before and hoping to get a strong visual and heartbeat.

I've just phoned the midwife team about booking in and they've said to phone back at 6 weeks and then I'll get booked in although I can go to the health centre now to pick up a pack which contains vitamins, book, leaflets etc. Is this normal or just my weird area? I'm just too impatient haha.

God I thought the tww was a drag but this is going to be painfully slow 😅

shohopeful · 11/03/2024 10:29

@CadoAvo are you GGC? (I'm in Glasgow too).

Oh also. Mother's Day lunch yesterday....for those who missed it we had to preorder our meals last week and I had ordered pate to start.
On Saturday I phoned them to change it. When we got there the waitress was like "so just to confirm I've got 2 prawns and 1 pate for starter?" And I said "oh, no I asked to change the pate to bruschetta please" that was no problem but then I went to the toilet and MIL turned to my partner and said "is she pregnant???" Doesn't miss a beat 😂
My partner managed to stay strong and say absolutely not, she just changed her mind. So MIL is deffo onto us 😅

I'm North Lan!

shohopeful · 11/03/2024 10:34

@CadoAvo it's maybe different health boards. GGC just sends out the leaflets and have booked me in for my 12 weeks, but I haven't heard anything about getting supplements from them - I just bought procieve. They must all do it slightly differently but I wouldn't worry!

I actually ordered Proceive last night too which should come tomorrow.

Yeah it's probably slightly different everywhere. I'm impatient, just want to the baby to get a move on with the growing 🤪

piechipsgravy · 11/03/2024 10:43

@Jellybelly888 we booked a private scan for 30th March when I'll hopefully be 8 + 1. I've now also got a scan at the EPU on the 18th March at 6 + 3. I'm excited to hopefully see a heartbeat but also terrified! Keep thinking if it's bad news it's better to find out sooner though.

Farfarfarfarfaraway · 11/03/2024 10:48

I still can’t get the link to work.

unfortunately though I’ve had some bright red bleeding this morning. So I’m just in GP waiting room - hoping to get a referral to EPU, feeling really anxious and low.

piechipsgravy · 11/03/2024 11:05

So sorry to hear that @Farfarfarfarfaraway got everything crossed for you xx

shohopeful · 11/03/2024 11:06

@Farfarfarfarfaraway hope you're doing ok and not waiting long. Everything crossed xxxx
