Hi ladies, I've recently found out I'm pregnant again after 2 losses in a row. I'm very lucky to have a DS and I had another MC before I had him. So 3 losses in total. I'm only 4+4, but got faint positive 11 days ago at 9dpo and it feels like I've been pregnant for aaaages but time is moving so slowly. We've booked an early scan when I'll be 8 weeks exactly so waiting it out until then, and hoping nothing happens in between. I wondered if anyone else is in a similar position and wanted to share this early journey with me. I've decided not to tell anyone this time round, a lot of my close friends are dealing with newborns or their own ivf journeys and I don't want to add any load to anyone. But it feels like a huge load to me so would love to share with someone!

Morning ladies. Hope everybody is doing ok? I just got a call from the hospital with the Nipt results. All came back low risk which is so good 🥹 We're still very aware that there are a number of things it doesn't test for but I was so worried due to my age so I feel like it's a little milestone passed. She’s posted them out so we’ll also find out the sex of baby in a day or two 🙈🩵 🩷 Obviously a long way to go but a little more hopeful and we can start to tell more people our news 🙏

Hopingrae · 27/03/2024 11:58

@Sez281 I'm so pleased to read your update, that must be a big relief. And how exciting to find out little one's sex in a few days! What's next in your journey, do you have any more scans coming up?

I'm doing ok thanks, wading through the nausea but glad to have been signed off work, definitely takes the pressure off and means I can just rest! Which feels like a rare thing. We're not sure whether to get another private reassurance scan when I'm 10 weeks, but we might see when we get the 12 week scan date and make a decision from there. Hopefully I'll hear about that in the next few days.

That’s great @Sez281 I’m glad the results have come back low risk.

@Hopingrae glad you got signed off & can rest

I’m doing ok, I’m around 7+4 now. Nausea has definitely been ramping up. Called my gp surgery last week to register with the midwife. So now just waiting on a call back. I remember it took weeks last time. She then arranges for my 12wk scan in the booking appt. So weird how different areas operate so differently.

Still thinking I’m going to just carry on as I am until 12wks, unless any spotting etc happens in the meantime.

30somethingttc · 27/03/2024 14:11

That’s fab new of the results and getting signed off @Sez281@Hopingrae
Hoping you hear back soon @Figtree11

I was hoping I could get my head down and focus on 12 week scan but from updating the midwife about our situation I’m back under EPU and going in for another scan 5th April so they can check what’s going on with the 3rd baby.
I’m so glad we are being taken care off but was quite looking forward to giving the worrying a rest for a few weeks!
Still can’t quite wrap my brain around it all! Countdown is on til we pass the 12 week stage.

SnookyPook · 27/03/2024 14:54

@Sez281 so happy to hear your news! That's fantastic! And great that you feel a bit more comfortable to share your news with people 🥰

@30somethingttc ah bless you, but that is good that they're keeping a close eye on you.

I'm just waiting to see my midwife. They offered me a listen in with the Doppler if I got anxious ahead of my scan and I think it will hopefully make it a bit less daunting going in tomorrow if I've heard the heartbeat today. Fingers crossed little one cooperates and all is ok! Realised it's a whole month since my last official reassurance they are still doing ok in there so bit nervous.

Sez281 · 27/03/2024 15:36

Thanks @Hopingrae I'm booked in for 16 week scan with my consultant in 4 weeks but I doubt I'll hold out that long so I might get one privately in another couple of weeks
I think you're right to wait and see what date you get for the 12 week scan then decide. It's great that you've been signed off and can try and manage the nausea. I'm on Cariban 2 days now. I feel like it might be easing a tiny bit but I'm not sure

@Figtree11 Hopefully your midwife gets back to you soon so you can pencil in some dates and have something to aim for. Hopefully your nausea doesn't get too bad 🙏

Aww @30somethingttc I totally get the anxiety but honestly I think the epau is the best care ti be under. It goes to show that your care is their priority. Hopefully the next few weeks fly by for you! 🤞

@SnookyPook I joke the midwife appointment went ok and your nerves have eased a bit ahead of tomorrow's scan. You did amazingly to hold off the whole month! 🙌

Figtree11 · 27/03/2024 15:51

Thanks @Sez281 and @30somethingttc after I sent that message, I logged onto my nhs app to see how long after ringing I had the booking appt last time with the MC, and my booking appointment is scheduled on there for 2 weeks time! But no one rang me, I’ve just come across it by chance.

SnookyPook · 27/03/2024 15:53

Thanks @Sez281! All sounding good! Heart rate has dropped to 143 which is apparently great for this gestation. Midwife said it sounded strong and nice regular rhythm. Can definitely go into tomorrow a bit less anxious now! 💗

Holl89 · 27/03/2024 16:56

Hi everyone! I haven’t posted in here before but have been reading 😅

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow. I’m terrified 😢.
I have no children. I had a MMC in October and a chemical in Jan. I’m so terrified of bad news 💔.

My MMC I didn’t ever get to see the heartbeat, baby passed before it.
I’ve seen the heartbeat at 6 weeks and at 8 weeks so I know odds are in my favour but I’m just so scared - no idea how I’m going to sleep tonight!!

SnookyPook · 27/03/2024 18:06

@Holl89 welcome! So sorry for your previous losses. And absolutely get your nerves! Great that you saw a heartbeat at 8wks - the miscarriage rate drops so much after that. Do you mind me asking what gestation your MMC had stopped developing at? Mine was 7+5 but didn't find out until 11+4. It really throws you doesn't it. I'm sure it'll be a different story tomorrow for you. Is it a nice early scan? Xx

Holl89 · 27/03/2024 18:19

@SnookyPook Thank you ❤️

So sorry about your previous loss too.. how many weeks are you now?

I went for a 6 week scan but baby was measuring 4 days behind and obviously no heartbeat, they said to come back in 2 weeks. So I went back in 2 weeks and baby stopped growing at 6 weeks 4 days. I was 8 weeks by then. It really affected me, I was so depressed after it 🥺 it’s such an awful thing to go through isn’t it? And at 11+4 for you 💔

I know, I had read that the risk drops massively after a heartbeat at 8 weeks, so I’m absolutely praying.

It’s at 9.50 so I don’t have to wait too long. Keep your fingers crossed for me 🤞🏼 xx

SnookyPook · 27/03/2024 19:05

@Holl89 ah that's great. Early morning scans are the best! Will deffo keep my fingers crossed for you. I really feel for people who have to live a couple of weeks in limbo too before they know if it's viable or not. That's really tough mentally.

I'm now 20+3! I've got my 20wk scan tomorrow afternoon and whilst my anxiety has massively dropped throughout the 2nd trimester, I did find myself feeling a bit nervous about going in for a scan having not had any kind of reassurance for a month (heard the heartbeat via Doppler at my 16wk appointment). My community midwives are fab though and offered another listen in this afternoon so I'm not going in tomorrow dreading 'no heartbeat'. It has really helped I must say!

Will be thinking of you in the morning. Looking forward to seeing your positive update 🥰❤️

30somethingttc · 27/03/2024 19:06

Welcome @Holl89
i know that scan anxiety all too well. I have a very similar story with a MMC in November. Our baby stopped growing at 6+5 and found out just after 8 weeks!
so amazing you’ve seen the heartbeat twice!
best of luck tomorrow. Let us know how you get on xxx

30somethingttc · 27/03/2024 19:07

And good luck @SnookyPook 💕

Figtree11 · 27/03/2024 19:51

Welcome @Holl89 wishing you all the luck in the world.
I too had a MMC but in November. Just the thought of even getting to & having a 12 wk scan gives me so much anxiety, so I can understand how you are feeling.

Sez281 · 28/03/2024 10:56

Hi @Holl89 Welcome to the group. I hope your scan went ok today! 🙏

Confusedandtired90 · 28/03/2024 11:16

Hi everyone

I hope it's ok to join. I have just found out that I'm pregnant following a miscarriage in December.

It's incredibly early days (4+2) so there's still so much time for things to go wrong. Am massively freaking out about the risk of another MC / ectopic as have been having brown spotting for a week now so am probably going to give it another week and if I'm still having issues call through to the EPU...

Has anyone had anything similar? It's very strange going into this not allowing yourself to be excited at all and waiting out for the worst again

How did your scan go @SnookyPook ? 🤍 xx

Confusedandtired90 · 28/03/2024 12:52

Amazing @Holl89 ! What a gorgeous bub

Figtree11 · 28/03/2024 13:49

Brilliant news @Holl89 must feel such a relief

SnookyPook · 28/03/2024 16:07

@Holl89 oh that's lovely news! So happy for you 🥰

All good here too! It's another little boy! 🥰Structurally looking healthy - only thing is he's a bit on the dinky side (9th centile overall and head circumference and femur length were below 5th centile 🫤) so they want me in again in 2-3 weeks to check in. Was expecting growth scans anyway from 3rd trimester. Feeling slightly thrown they want us back in so soon but my son was born 5th centile and is now 90th centile for height!! So hopefully nothing sinister. Trying to get my head around being a full on boy Mamma!! 💙💙🥰

Sez281 · 28/03/2024 16:09

Awww that's a great picture @Holl89 🥰 Our due dates are quite similar so we can give each their virtual hand holds through any ups and downs (and no doubt anxious wobbles!) over the next few months 🙏☺️

30somethingttc · 29/03/2024 08:05

So glad the scans went well!
what a gorgeous pic.

Woke up this morning feel relatively normal when I’m usually feeling quite sick at this point. I hate that I am wishing for morning sickness but makes me feel so worried when I actually feel ok.
hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday (if you have one this weekend) xx
