I won't be buying anything until the third trimester as with my daughter. I won't need to get much tbh, just a couple of more boy-ish outfits and that's literally it. I felt very anxious throughout pregnancy and didn't relax until she cried after coming out of the womb. I felt and feel now that I'd be jinxing things if I buy things too early, especially since I lost 3 babies to MMC last year after having my daughter in 2022.

Hi guys.... it was a nice couple of weeks back with you all... but unfortunately it was the final curtain today. I had a Pvt scan to see how things were going and although yolk sac has got bigger unfortunately the embryo stopped at 5.2mm and had no HB (I should have been about 8.5 weeks today) back to EPU I guess on Monday to figure out the next plan. I want it over asap so think surgical option will be better for me. I must remember weve got our two Frosties waiting for us in Greece. ❤️💔❤️
Wishing you all the love in the world and the best of luck for the future, I'll really miss this chat xxx

Really sorry @californiacooper Just thought I'd mention, there's a thread on the conception board with a few women currently going through miscarriage/lots of us who have experienced a loss (sorry... it's not a club anyone wants to be invited to, I know). You'd be very welcome if you want to chat about things xx

Thanks @Xur

I cried buckets reading MrsB's post and all the thoughtful people that wrote their respects. I've had to bow out of previous threads and that anger and hurt of how unfair it is came flooding back on her behalf.

Did anyone have the flu jab offered at the 12 week scan? I did as they have had a massive influx of cases at my local hospital and they said it would protect baby when delivered for at least a few months. Also we get the whooping cough vaccine if we want at the 20 week scan now it's becoming more common. Will anyone have it?

I had my flu jab in November last year so haven’t needed it this pregnancy, but I did have the flu one during my other 2 pregnancy’s, plus the whooping cough. There were no problems or complications, and both children are great. Both very active and developmentally all good!
I saw a TikTok of a pregnant mum who was admitted to hospital with flu, her cough sounded horrendous. She had to stay in for a few days and have a nebuliser. We seem to be slowly leaving winter now so flu might not be a huge risk, but whooping cough I’d definitely take xx

MadsAngel · 24/02/2024 20:49

So sorry to hear that @californiacooper. Will be thinking of you🩷

NotGeorgina · 24/02/2024 20:54

Decaffe · 23/02/2024 07:51

I will be getting any and all jabs they offer me - the more I can protect myself and the baby the better. Especially as they will be born towards the end of September, so coming into winter and cold/flu season.

I did a deep dive into the Covid jab research last year and the results overwhelmingly say there are no ill effects on either baby or mother. It does not cause a miscarriage or anything like that. It is strongly recommended for pregnant ladies by the RCOG and JCVI so absolutely I will be having it.

Edited

i had Covid jab with my second. I think I had two actually 🤔 One at like 12 weeks and one later on. This was in 2021 and Covid numbers were mega high.

Hes 2 years old and a typical, hectically wonderful toddler. The jab didn’t negatively impact him at all developmentally, despite a lot of nay-sayers who tried to fill me with dread when I took it. So this is just to try reassure anyone who is thinking of having the Covid jab 💛

NotGeorgina · 24/02/2024 21:33

Will miss you on this board @californiacooper hopefully they get you in and sorted swiftly with the surgical management so you can continue your TTC journey as soon as you feel ready. Big big hugs xxx

@NotGeorgina agree, I'm definitely having the whooping cough vaccine now at 20 weeks and if they start the covid boosters again for pregnant women late April I'll likely get that now too x

californiacooper · 24/02/2024 23:23
