@MudandMoet can you imagine ending up with one boob much bigger than the other cos one didn’t stretch?😂

@Sydney1988 that’s a lovely scan 🥰 baby got his feet stretched out, waiting for the time to start kicking mom 😂

Happened to me with my daughter - there is often an imbalance in milk supply due to differences in milk ducts on each side. I'd say my right boob was 1-2 cup sizes larger than my left boob until I stopped breastfeeding. It's a thing 😆

I agree, I’ve definitely noticed one side growing and hurting more than the other. When I was breastfeeding last time there was definitely a dominant boob as well.

My boobies never recovered from last time so they’re gonna be like dog ears at the end of this one 😆

I’ve just come back from the pharmacy empty handed after being told there’s nothing I can take for a cough/cold/sore throat other than paracetamol (if I have a temperature) and to sip on hot water lol. I didn’t realise how little, if anything you can take when pregnant!?

So I’m just sat in bed with a mug of ginger and honey tea instead 🙄😵‍💫

Mine are naturally lopsided anyway - both relatively sizeable, but right one is a cup size bigger than the left. I was hoping pregnancy might even them up a bit but it seems to just be exaggerating the difference 😂

I had a double embryo transfer on the 9th of February, and since then I’ve done several positive tests which is brilliant… unfortunately I have been in a situation where I’ve had a missed miscarriage before so I am finding the way until my scan quite difficult…

another worry is I have hardly any symptoms at all… I am 5 weeks today.

Does anybody have any advice how to cope please? Xxxx the test lines are getting darker which I know is a positive. It’s just getting through the next 11 days before my scan date x 😂 any advice would be great

@Xur I know!! It’s got his dad’s chunky rugby calves anyway 😂 glad you’re feeling better @wingingitandsoaring ! @HRP1990 I know mine was really bouncing around! Still only the size of the large strawberry according to one of my baby apps, so guess that’s why! Teeny tiny!

YellowZ · 24/02/2024 12:30

@UnicornGirl2024 sorry about your miscarriage. You're still really early for symptoms anyway, but if it makes you feel better, I'm just coming up for 13wks and haven't had many symptoms at all. Just sore boobs. No nausea (sorry everyone who has had loads of sickness! 😂) Baby is fine. Your tests are looking good! No advice really except take it a day at a time, the time will pass and hopefully you'll have a lovely scan.

Xur · 24/02/2024 13:29

@UnicornGirl2024 my advice is stop testing. I’ve seen people stress themselves out because they keep doing tests. Tests are not for measuring the progress of the pregnancy, just for initial testing.

Since our scan last week DH has been so different! It's like it is so much more real now for him after seeing baby so active in there. We've just been moving some animals around the farm and he was so protective (it actually felt weird because he's never like this) he wouldn't let me go anywhere near the electric fence and no barrowing of bales. We've even done an online food shop since coming in instead of going because he's worried I've done too much already today! Who is this man and where is my DH??

@wingingitandsoaring due date buddies 😁

@YellowZ same here, we haven't told anyone yet, waiting for Mother's Day now but couldn't go much further as I'm getting a little bump! Do they know you've been trying, Will they be shocked?

MudandMoet · 24/02/2024 13:36

@UnicornGirl2024 @Xur is right. The constant testing will send you crazy. It definitely doesn't ease the mind. Hope the next week or so passes quickly for you. 5 weeks is early for symptoms but they'll probably kick in soon - lots of luck xx

UnicornGirl2024 · 24/02/2024 13:53

@MudandMoet I have actually found the testing really comforting and reassuring. I’ll just wait

it’s going to be a long 11 days x

UnicornGirl2024 · 24/02/2024 13:54

@Xur thanks you xx

Wanderlust86 · 24/02/2024 14:12

Has anyone started buying things yet? I said I would hold off telling anyone and buying anything until my 12 week scan. Even though it was fine and I'm 13 weeks tomorrow I'm still scared to buy anything. I want to start getting some of the smaller things so it doesn't seem like such a huge expense all at once. Is it still too early or go for it?

Aw, that's cute @MudandMoet. My partner keeps cleaning the bathroom as he doesn't want me to smell strong chemicals. I don't have the heart to tell him I breathe in much worse working in a hospital 😆

Emmaev · 24/02/2024 14:33

@Wanderlust86 i really want to start buying things but I’ve got mot due first so we’re gonna start after that. But I’m absolutely itching, I get you though about being scared to buy things, I almost feeling like I’m tempting fate. But I don’t think I’ll feel calm until babes in my arms.

@MudandMoet thats so sweet, my partner is kinda like that, he doesn’t want to lifting anything. I took a shopping bag in the other day and he yelled at me saying to wait for him haha.

HolyMoly24 · 24/02/2024 14:48

@Wanderlust86 I will start buying things as soon as I have the 12 week scan and know all is well. The smaller things that are easier to store like a monitor etc

I can't wait!

Lillers · 24/02/2024 15:00

@Wanderlust86 We’re not going to start buying baby things for a while (possibly closer to 20 week scan), but a big part of that is because we’ve got a long list of house things we want to get done before baby gets here.

We’ve been in our house 3 years and have been doing it up gradually, but don’t want any big works happening once the baby has arrived, so now need to accelerate some of the jobs.

It’s good because it scratches that itch of getting prepared without being specifically “baby”.

Cat2022 · 24/02/2024 15:05

@Wanderlust86 i bought a couple small things off vinted. Was only because I spotted the boy version of the sleepsuit my daughter was in when she came home from the hospital and John Lewis don’t sell anymore. We don’t need any of the big items which is the perk of a small age gap but if it is a boy will need some clothes but will hang off a bit for that and try not to go overboard again.

Xur · 24/02/2024 15:11

I don’t feel like buying anything for some reason ☹️ I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m not even browsing anything…

I have another scan booked in for later tonight and I’m taking my mum!
I am 10 weeks and no date for a scan yet ekkk but hope it’ll be soon. I’ve not had bloods done either! I basically told her I feel nervous as hell and she agreed to take me ☺️

but I am hoping that I can relax after tonight’s scan and start too believe it’s happening!
I have also not had many symptoms just tiredness and every now and then feel a bit sick if I haven’t eaten for a while! But these are both normal for me anyway so it’s hard to believe all thats going on 😂

Fair play to everyone that’s waited so long for scans you’re more sane than me!

Amazon leggings review: ladies they are amazing!
literally the softest leggings I have ever owned! They are over bump ones and have plenty of stretch in them 🫶
I’ve put the link incase any of you are in need!

I still have most things still from when my eldest was a baby. I'm dying to buy stuff but will wait until 12 weeks scan and maybe wait until after a gender scan we shall see. I really want to buy some maternity leggings and work pants but I'm trying to wait until after the dating scan. Nothing fits at the moment as its frustrating.

MudandMoet · 24/02/2024 16:04

@Wanderlust86 ahh that's sweet too, I'm a million miles away from a bathroom clean though, he wouldn't know where the cleaning stuff is for a start 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm really really wanting to buy things and I am looking online a lot. We have said we're going to wait until 4 months so around another 3 weeks and then we'll start.
@Cat2022 when you say overboard again, is this because you went mad first time and got a lot of things you didn't need? Curious as I've no idea how many outfits etc as they grow so fast and some I've seen aren't cheap that I absolutely must have (farm related) 🤦🏼‍♀️

Good luck with the scan @longingtobe23 - come back later and update x

Ahhh @Emmaev they can be thoughtful, sometimes 😂

Thank you for the link @VT6 always great to go off a recommendation- is the length okay for you?

Thanks for the link I might give them an order after my fail of see through H&M leggings. Out of interest what size do you normally wear and what have you gone for in these?

Cat2022 · 24/02/2024 16:29

@MudandMoet i definitely went overboard with clothes in the smaller sizes. It depends on the baby though as some are sickier than others. Ours wasn’t so didn’t really need outfits changed when she was first born unless there was a poop explosion (lots of fun to come haha)

VT6 · 24/02/2024 16:59

@MudandMoet I’m not tall (5”1 ish) and then length is good, definitely room for more leg 😂
@rupertbear91 pre pregnancy I was a 4-6, I now can’t even do up my size 8 jeans 😂
I ordered the medium but they were too big so got the small and they are perfect xx

thought the pricing was great aswell!
