as per suggestion in respect to the owner of the previous thread I’ve created a new (continued) thread for us.

Another scan incoming. Measuring a whole week ahead from lmp at 13 weeks 3 days! I knew I ovulated early so this wasn't too big a surprise. Due date 9th September.

@Lillers my nausea and sickness is soo bad still but the meds do help so defo give them a try. I would tell the gp how you are really struggling at work with it all. My gp was super understanding and was more than happy to sign me off. I'm back at work this week and it's been horrific and I've come home early a couple days. But luckily work have been good on my return and don't mind.

Eeeek! I hope it goes ok 🤞🏻 which company did you go for? We did veracity which does the trisomies plus the sex aneuploidies and micro deletions. Are you going to find out the gender? We were going to keep it a surprise but I couldn’t resist 🫣 I’m annoyed at my impatience 🤣

@Honeyandsunshine1 I don't know yet but welcome predictions. I will be booking a private gender scan as I'm too impatient to wait 🤣 in fact during the scan I was hoping the sonographer would linger his wand over the legs a bit longer but alas he was too quick 🤣

Aww, I do hope you're right as I'm secretly hoping for a girl. 😊My husband thinks and hopes it's a boy as we've already got a girl. At least I wouldn't have to worry about the baby's wardrobe if it was a girl as I've kept most of it. 😅

13 weeks today, anyone feeling like the 8 weeks between 12w scan to 20w is sooo long. Having had 4 scans from 6-12 weeks it feels such a wait. Hoping the 2nd trimester energy will kick in and I can keep busy rather than feeling sick and just surving the long days. Xx

Omg, this was me yesterday when I had a scan with my NIPT! The baby was bloody upside though 🥲 and was a week for the NHS one. So no cute pics and no suggestions as to what they could be hahah. It feels like a lifetime finding out!

@SC126 Thank you for the advice - I read it just before I went in to see the doctor and it really helped me be clear about what I wanted. She was amazing and has prescribed meds (only a weeks worth but I assume that’s to see how I get on with them) and signed me off for 10 days for now. I’ve just emailed work a massive long handover but hopefully now I can actually focus on trying to feel better!

@luckyfaith this is how I feel too, we already have a little girl so if this one is a girl I’m sorted clothes/everything wise haha. And maybe only one set of big toys (attempting not to gender stereotype but I figure two little girls might share more interests..!), plus sisters close in age is lovely. But one of each would be really wonderful - so maybe it’s win win?!

@MrsM89 i am hating no-man’s-land!! I’m 15 weeks now and struggling with not being certain all is okay in there, can’t wait until I can feel them wriggling around. Having said that, we have a gender scan on Saturday so very much looking forward to knowing they’re still okay (and being reassured for all of about 3 days before I worry again!)

Does anyone believe in the old wives tale 'if it's a girl they steal your beauty'
With my boy I had lovely skin and hair, I've had awful spots for two weeks now and just look half dead 🤣 I never really get spots so just wondered if anyone else has experienced spots with a girl

@hol92 I’m not sure because I looked and felt half dead with my girl and am the same this time so was sure it was a girl again but it’s a boy 😂 I might just be unlucky

I feel the total opposite to both my boys. This time I feel WIPED OUT, I look horrendous, I’ve had food aversions, fancy sweet things over savoury, my belly is bloated but muuuch higher than it ever had been. But a lot of those things could be because I already have two young kids therefore of course I’m going to feel wiped out and look like crap 😂

We’ll find out the gender in the next 2 weeks so can confirm whether it’s down to gender or not! X

@hol92 I reverted back to a teenager when I was pregnant with DS - greasy hair, spotty skin. Not sure if it's an old wives tale, but I heard that with boys you're not as sick/nauseous. That one was definitely true for me. I've felt much rougher this time round, although we won't be finding out gender until birth.

@Lillers glad to hear you got sorted. The anti sickness can cause a bit of drowsiness so when you first take it make sure you don't need to drive anywhere to see how your body reacts first.

I was in a&e on a drip till 2am this morning this HG is kicking my backside so much 😭

Just told my 5 year old son the good news. Hes so excited and kept touching my belly. Said he felt a kick (he didn't but I didn't correct him 🤣) then told me if it's a girl then we will have to have another which is sooo not happening! Now hoping for a boy so I don't have to give him that bad news 😂

I’ve not heard that one, but where I’m from they say that beautiful women have girls.

I was blaming my one shot of prune juice with the nausea I’ve been having today but it’s definitely not that, I think it’s the baby.
I was sick from salad I had for breakfast and cinnamon buns I had in the afternoon, as. Snack. But my pasta lunch didn’t make me sick. Fairly certain this is a new type of sickness. It was quite heavy on aswell. I thought I had food poisoning.

@Honeyandsunshine1 we went with Nottingham University Hospital as it's the closest one to us (still around an hour away) they use the Vanadis NIPT test. I am so glad I am not under that hospital because it was shocking to say the least. Yes, we're desperate to know the sex of the baby, there's not a cat in hells chance (what does that even mean??) that we wouldn't find out. I wish I wasn't but I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to organisation and stuff so it'll help me with all that 😬🤦🏼‍♀️ 🩷🩵❓x

Anyone else suffering from hip pain? It’s almost like sciatica on both sides! it’s worse after I’ve done any walking , which is a nuisance as I have a dog that will walk for miles 😂
