pretty new here too! I’m 11 weeks.
I’ve felt pretty miserable due to nausea and cramping throughout. But seems to be lifting a bit now!
hope you’re doing ok?

Ah same here I had hyperemesis with my first and I’ve got it again this time round, it’s awful isn’t it 😩
fingers crossed it goes soon if it seems to be lifting 🤞

@Samwins I was 7 weeks and 5 days when I miscarried. They never worry when it's just a brown discharge as it is very common. I bled really heavily with my second (again at 7 weeks and 5 days) and never thought she'd make it but she's now a lively 2.5 years old. 😊

@Lillers how annoying I would see if you can call the hospital midwife team and ask for them to urgent referral
it is something the midwife can sort of course!! She should know who to call to arrange this she might not book them but how silly that they haven’t even offered to call are you over 11 weeks?

I had booking at 9 and so I don’t have my scan until 12+6 !! 15th March seems so long also to add to the fun…
my jeans are tight after lunch! uh oh 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

@Samwins I had brown bleed earlier on and turns out it was thrush might be worth getting swobbed apparently it's very common in pregnancy.

@elliejay9 I have hypermesis too and am pretty bed bound at the minute it's horrendous. Really hoping for some relief as i get into the second trimester

@luckyfaith sorry to hear of your loss. Amazing to hear your second is healthy and thriving!

@rupertbear91 thank you! Helpful to know. I’ll see how I go! But that could make sense as I had thrush just before falling pregnant. I’ve got a lot of cramping too, like period pains.

Thanks girls! Feeling super happy and relieved now! I’ve got my 16 week midwife appointment and 20 week scan booked in - so crazy!

We celebrated by having lunch afterwards and we’re going to have a take away tonight. So food orientated but who cares, I deserve it lol

@hol92 yes next a Friday for me! Feels good to finally be able to say it's next week.

Anyone else showing at 14 weeks already (first pregnancy)? I also have these stretching pains, not just in my lower abdomen but sort of all over, anyone eIse? I have a proper round belly.

I thought I had a strong-ish core but maybe not. Or maybe I'm just getting fat?

Thanks everyone who has made suggestions about the scan - I’ve spoken to my midwife and antenatal appointment team but they don’t have access to the ultrasound booking system. My midwife has said that the referral would have been submitted, but there’s no way she can see it now.
They’ve given me the direct contact number but all that does is cut out the menu and I still end up having to listen to the same minute long message before the line says “sorry there’s nobody to take your call” and cuts me off.
I am literally just sitting here with the phone on speaker calling, listening to the message, getting cut off and then doing it again. Lines close at 5 so I only need to do it for another 49 minutes 😔

@Lillers I would find somewhere to complain to, because this is not normal. It’s very frustrating.

Oh my @HRP1990 I cannot cope!!!! That scan pic is adorable. We always seem to celebrate with 2 lots of not cooking after our appointments too, it must be as we can't raise a glass instead 🥂

I don’t know if this it OTT but if your hospital is local, can you just pop down there and speak to someone in person? Not sure what to suggest otherwise if everyone you’ve spoken to can’t help/isn’t picking up

The ultrasound dept have replied to my (second, rather emotive) email, confirming they have my referral and I’ll get a text with my appointment, and that it will be before I’m 14 weeks (well duh!)
Yes, it would have been significantly more useful if they’d just said in the email when the appointment is, but at least I know they have the referral.

It’s like an unwritten rule now @MudandMoet we've got to honour it going forward! I have however ditched the maccies this time and we’re going for a ramen instead 😋🍜

I genuinely did think about doing this! They’ve emailed me back now letting me know they have the referral and will text me the appointment, but genuinely if I don’t get that text in the next couple of days I see no reason not to turn up and speak to someone.

I'm 15 weeks today @cd24x and we're telling family this weekend. I thought by this point I'd be okay about it but I am already so anxious thinking what if I tell them this weekend and then something goes wrong next week or the week after? I am just questioning it now all the time....Is it too soon? should we wait until 20 weeks?? It's not stop worry.

I honestly don't think I'll not worry until I've got my little bundle in my arms. Anyone else relate? 🙏🏼 xx

I agree with @vt6 I think it is quite nice to have this little secret with you and your husband! On the other hand sharing and getting excited with your loved ones together, is also so lovely!

I am visiting my partners dad and his partner tonight for dinner (we go a few times a month ) and I’m struggling to hide it 😂
We are telling them on Saturday after the scan so only a few hours to get through but I’ve been avoiding everyone so I don’t have to talk to them 😂😂😂
