Thank you @MummyTo4BoysXXXX

Still pregnant here with no signs of baby arriving any time soon. Although I must say, quite glad as I have an awful chest infection and on antibiotics! Hopefully they will kick in before induction on Monday 😬

Thanks @MummyTo4BoysXXXX

congratulations @Hawk901 🎉🎉

ladies that have had C sections.. any of you have sensitive skin? Between my scar & belly button is still super numb and it’s SO sensitive I can’t bear anything touching it! I still have sticky residue from whatever they put over the scar in surgery and I can’t get it off because it’s so numb/sensitive!

@CharXo yes I still have some sticky glue from my c section dressing that I'm just gently rinsing with water in the shower, but I'm not scrubbing at it or using shower gel in that area in case I aggrevate my scar.
I know what you mean about the area above the scar feeling a bit numb still. Mine isn't really too sensitive (I'm able to wear leggings that cover the area) but it definitely still feels a bit strange.

@CharXo I must confess I haven't even looked at my scar properly as it kind of freaks me out! I know that's pathetic. Midwife says it's looking fine, I'm rinsing it in the shower without looking, it doesn't hurt, but 2w4d on it's getting a wee bit itchy. I do generally have sensitive skin.

@Hankthehonk my actual scar is fine it’s the bit between my scar & belly button that I’m struggling with.. feels so weird because of the numbness and sensitivity 😩

Ebonythoughts · 23/02/2024 00:12

@CharXo i’m having the same with the bit between the scar and belly button 8 days post c-section… its a weird sensation.

Also has anyone who has had a section found it difficult to sleep on the side? I’m sleeping on my back with slightly raised pillows. First baby and didn’t know what to expect with the uterus contracting back and I’m not sure if there’s a difference between what happens if experience after delivering vaginally and delivery by c-section. I might give wrapping a try in a few days, I’ve seen some people do it on social media.

@CharXo @Hankthehonk @Ebonythoughts morning all I also had a section & 8 weeks on I’m still a bit numb & sensitive it does take awhile, if ur trying 2 remove the glue try hand sanitiser tip from the midwife she did give me antiseptic wipes which removed it 2
Congratulations to all the new mummies hope u all keeping well love seeing the updates 🥰

A large area of my stomach is still super numb and around it tingly and sensitive 10 days post section. This is completely normal because of nerves cut during procedure. My friend is 17 weeks postpartum and still has numb areas. She sees a specialist physio who is doing massages to help with the healing. Once I’m further along I’m definitely booking myself in too.
I’m finally able to sleep on my side, took about a week and a half post op to be comfortable doing this. I would say my incision has healed super fast though so just give it time if you’re still struggling.

@Hawk901 congratulations to you mamma, love her name by the way! 🥰

Also ladies our little girl is 1 week old today & I'm feeling so emotional about it 😢 is this normal? It's mental to think that this exact time last week I was in hospital on delivery suite in full blown labour!
