New thread as old one was almost at 1000 😊

I've been thinking of the fact I'm going to have a little baby during the winter time.

I had my last in spring time so I was able to get outside every day for walks etc. slightly worried it might be a lonelier experience this time. Definitely still going to join baby groups etc though, they were my lifeline before.

I'm still having brown discharge this morning. Rang GP and they said they can't see me till next Wednesday so rang EPU and it's just an answer phone 😫

@HolyMoly24 My NCT class was a life saver for me. I still chat to the girls now, daily! We saw each other a few times a week in the beginning and it really pushed me to get out the house. It’s helpful that someone else is up at 3am like you too lol.

@MudandMoet haha yes! A lot of floaty linen dresses I think will be our friend.

@xenababy i was preggo summer 2018 as my other child is also sept baby. That summer was hottest of my life. 🤣 defo not looking forward to this one. I tried timing it so I was pregnant over winter but that clearly didn't work for me 🤣

I haven’t referred yet to midwives perhaps I am chill because it’s second one … albeit 8 years later but I will sort that Friday I think when I get a bit more of an idea
i guess I’ll just have to be flexible on dates for 12 week scan

I was pregnant last time in summer and DS is also september baby
I won’t lie it wasn’t fun, I was very swollen and none of my shoes fit 🥲 but it was worth it!

Thanks everyone. I’m not that hurt as I was not expecting this pregnancy to be viable.

I have my first scan tomorrow, I will be 6.5 weeks. My last pregnancy was a MMC and I was told to prepare for the worst when there was no heartbeat or fetal pole at the same gestation. I’m hoping for a positive experience this time. But I’m so nauseous constantly already, which makes me think it will be fine.

My baby loves blended avocado and banana for some reason it's got me and I keep gagging while I'm feeding him I feel so awful, there he is just enjoying his grub and I'm gagging all over him 😂

Trying to decide whether to book an early scan. I can literally get in for one this evening about 10 mins away from home. Part of me thinks not to and to just wait it out but the other part of me thinks to go for it 🙈

How far along are you @tierneytarny ? 🙂

My cycles vary in length and I’m second guessing everything so I think anywhere from 6 weeks to 6+5 weeks. My last pregnancies I had scans around this time and I honestly thought I wouldn’t bother this time but here I am considering booking 🙈

@tierneytarny If you think it’ll give you peace of mind then I would go for it. I have mine this coming Saturday, tried to hold out until a little bit later (hopefully roughly 8w+5) in the hope that we would see a little more, but it has felt like FOREVER waiting! I am really anxious for any potential bad news but I can’t wait to just know what’s going on in there now.

I managed to do a proper 30 minute workout yesterday, I hadn't been able to do more than 15 mins for the last month. Weights (a bit lighter than usual), squats etc, my usual. I felt great but STARVING. I ended up having 2 breakfasts and a cheesecake 😂

@tierneytarny I waited until the beginning of week 8 and it was worth it because the little bean was very clearly visible, had a heartbeat and little stumps for arms and legs. Not sure how much you can see at week 6?

You can’t see much at 6/7 weeks but you can see the heart flickering which is all I really want. Who was I kidding that I’d last til March 🙈

Finally confirmed my pregnancy isn’t ectopic! Feel so relieved. Here’s a photo of the yolk sack and a tiny fetal pole. I’m measuring between 5-6 weeks.

Well I'm not sure how I feel about private scans now since my debacle this week. Kind of pleased I've been to EPU and now I'm "in" I feel like I might get seen more (they are seeing me next Thursday for another scan, I was expecting them to say come back at 12 weeks which would be torture). I suppose it depends on the clinic - if it's somewhere you know and have been before it might rest your mind.

@californiacooper I must admit, your experience has made me think seriously about it. What an absolutely awful situation (though thankfully such a wonderful result with EPU). My husband is 50/50 which makes me think we should wait….but I think I’ll just be like this every day 🙈

Hey! Flo says I’m 5 weeks and 6 days, and due 27 September. I think I ovulated late and have varying cycle lengths of 26-33
days so I actually think I’m probably due a bit later, maybe 30 September or 1 October.

Had terrible nausea for the last 48 hours but it seems to have lifted now. Did manage to force myself out to my usual Pilates class last night though and hoping I have the energy for my weekly kickboxing class tomorrow.

I am so tired and struggled to sleep because of the nausea. I’ve had the sorest boobs now for 3 weeks! I always get sore boobs a week before my period, but this time they’ve just carried on.

I did have some spotting and brown discharge a week ago. I rang the midwives after self-referring and they said it was fine. But they then emailed me and said they’d refer me to the Early Pregnancy Clinic. Haven’t heard from them though so perhaps they aren’t concerned. I’ve now been debating an early scan at about 8.5 weeks, whereas I hadn’t previously planned on one. I do plan to have a private NIPT test and scan around 10-11 weeks though.
