Definitely sporting a small bump here too. Can feel it when sleeping on my front. I was absolutely huge with DD so I’m slightly frightened of how big I’m gonna get this time around, especially now I’m carrying a lot more weight than I was with her 🙈

HRP1990 · 15/02/2024 06:57

I was told you show earlier second time round and definitely true here too! I’ve been wearing a hairband over the button of my jeans and through the loop so I can carry on wearing them lol I never found a decent pair of maternity jeans last time!

RachSmile · 15/02/2024 07:19

Oh I completely agree about the bump! I’ve been living in leggings for the last week or two, none of my jeans fit me already! I wear a lot of baggy sweaters to work so I don’t think anyone’s noticed yet, but my partner and I can’t stop laughing at the size of my stomach already 😂

hol92 · 15/02/2024 08:02

Yup! Also second time around and definitely starting to show! I wear baggy clothes a lot anyway but I saw a girl staring at my belly the other day at work where the baggy jumper was stuck up over my bump 😂

Have a book a private scan for Saturday morning :) exited but nervous!
I think because this time it happened so easily compared to the last it doesn't feel real, I just feel like I've been ill for weeks haha so i just really want to see the little peanut! :)
I will be around 8weeks 3 days.

Decaffe · 15/02/2024 08:03

This was my blump, sitting down yesterday, at only 8w2d! I was astonished!

My scan yesterday did say I have an anteverted uterus, apparently this means you may show sooner, but even still! I had to get these maternity leggings two weeks ago!

Edit to add - eight weeks ago I had a flat-ish stomach, size 12, BMI was just under 25. I think this is so obvious!

I have a bump already but this is my 4th pregnancy to get to this point and I remeber I showed before 12weeks even with my 1st pregnancy.
Sickness feeling is still strong here and just feel so wiped out. I don't know how those working every day do it. I work for myself and it's quiet at the moment.

I've told our 2 children also (couldnt have my 8 year old constantly worrying about me being sick any longer) they are over the moon. Just got to hope seeing 2 positive scans means all is going to be okay. Xx

VT6 · 15/02/2024 09:55

Did anyone show early in their first pregnancy?
also has anyone ever suffered with hip pain early on?
ill be 10 weeks Saturday and I’m currently sat with two hot bottles trying to ease the pain!

Khanga27 · 15/02/2024 10:03

This is technically my second pregnancy but my first I found out at 8 weeks was a MMC. I am now 11+4 and I have a bump and am struggling with my hips at night time. I desperately need a pregnancy pillow as I’m using a normal pillow for support and it doesn’t cut it. I want to ask people I know for advice on good ones but wary that means telling them 🙈 really hope my NIPT results come back soon so then I can start sharing and get that advice!

Babno3 · 15/02/2024 10:06

Hi everyone, does anyone have no symptoms? I was vomiting just a few days ago but I’m just not feeling pregnant and slightly worried. I had a scan at 7 weeks and all good. But I’m 8+4 now and just slightly panicked that something has happened as my belly is now flatter and I just feel different 😞 any advice would be greatly appreciated xxx

Xur · 15/02/2024 10:16

@VT6 I’m a first time pregnancy and currently 10+4. I think for me the bump is noticeable because I am thin and I’ve had a flat stomach all my life. Plus I wear skinny jeans. A bulging abdomen is deff out of the ordinary for me.
today I’ve taken up on @HRP1990 method 😂

40andhopeful · 15/02/2024 10:17

Did anyone else's symptoms start to subside at 8 weeks? I'm 8+1 today and have had constant nausea for the last few weeks. The last week in particular has been quite bad but yesterday it seemed to really subside and I hardly had any.
I'm trying not to panic as I still have slightly sore boobs, feel exhausted and have that general fuzzy headed feeling that I've had for the last few weeks but I have read that sickness and nausea tends to peak at week 9. Maybe mine has just peaked early?
Had a scan at 7+1 and all was good so trying to stay positive

40andhopeful · 15/02/2024 10:18

@Babno3 I've just written pretty much exactly the same thing!!

Babno3 · 15/02/2024 10:20

@40andhopeful aww that’s good to hear!! It’s the most worrying time isn’t it!!! Some days I feel really pregnant then I forget I’m pregnant I’m so symptomless lol roll on another scan so I can relax! Have you been for a scan?x

HRP1990 · 15/02/2024 10:21

@Xur handy isn’t it? 😂 I like to tuck the front of my tops in which I can’t do now, but at least I can get more wear of out jeans for longer!

I’m 10 weeks today and almost feel back to normal, I’m taking my own advice and putting it down to the placenta taking over.

I know a few of you have mentioned sore boobs but has anyone gone up a few cup sizes? My boobs don’t really hurt but they feel super heavy all of a sudden lol.

Babno3 · 15/02/2024 10:21

@40andhopeful oh my goodness I’ve just read your comment we are going through the exact same lol

Xur · 15/02/2024 10:28

@HRP1990 I’ve gone to old bras from my curvy days. I kept them for when I get pregnant and I’m already using them.

@40andhopeful @Babno3
yeah my worst week in terms of symptoms was week 7, then week 8 I had symptoms every few days and then week 9 only about 2 days and now week 10 I am feeling okay. I do get occasional tiredness around noon, but no obnoxious nausea. I feel almost normal.

Lillers · 15/02/2024 10:31

@HRP1990 Yes with the giant boobs! I’ve always had quite large ones anyway, but I’ve already had to buy a larger size, and within 2 days of buying it, that was also too tight! For me it’s my back size that has had to increase, so I’ve now bought some bra extended hooks which hopefully will see me through to the end.

@Babno3 @40andhopeful I’m exactly 8 weeks today - yesterday I was worried because I felt so much better. I was even able to help husband make dinner which I haven’t been able to do for about 3 weeks now. Today, I have spent all morning being horrendously sick 😂. I guess we just have good days and bad days - funny how the good days are the ones that worry us though!

VT6 · 15/02/2024 10:35

@Xur im in the same situation! Always been petite so now all my jeans no longer fit, I’ve borrowed some jeans from my mum which are 2 sizes bigger than my regular ones🤣
my partner also noticed how big my boobs have got - they’ve never been small (my mum had great genes 🤣) but I’ve gone up 3 sizes already

Lillers · 15/02/2024 10:54

DH asked me what he could do to make me feel more supported. I said it might be nice if he asks me questions about what’s happening with me.

This morning, I told him I’d been sick while he was in the shower. He stopped, thought for a moment, and then asked, “Was the sick runny or lumpy?”

Not the kind of question I’d been expecting, but he tried 😂

40andhopeful · 15/02/2024 10:57

@Babno3 always makes you feel a bit better when you know others are going through the same!
Yes I had a scan last week at 7+1 and everything was fine. It only really gives you reassurance for a few hours though doesn't it?!
I am planning another one for next Friday when I should be 9+2 as it's my wedding anniversary and we have a nice meal booked so I need to know if certain foods and wine are still off the table!
🤞🤞 for us both!

40andhopeful · 15/02/2024 10:59

Thanks @Xur, that makes me feel much better!
I suppose our bodies and pregnancies are all different so we can't all expect to react in the same way.
Good to hear that your symptoms started to subside around the same time.

40andhopeful · 15/02/2024 11:00

@Lillers 😂😂 we need to learn to appreciate the good days instead of pining for our nausea!!

Babno3 · 15/02/2024 11:26

@Xur @Lillers

so true that there are food and bad days, I’ve literally just went for a lie down as I’m off all week! And currently wretching in bed 😂
@40andhopeful aw that’s a lovely idea 🥰 was actually thinking of doing the same this weekend we are going out on Saturday for a meal for valentines and it would just put me at ease I’ll be 8+6. But it’s a lot of money to spend when you end up feeling worse a week later 😂xx

siobhanmt247 · 15/02/2024 11:31

@HRP1990 ive gone up a couple of sizes but they're not sore or anything

Do we think growing bumps are a good sign? I keep looking back at pics of this time in the first pregnancy that miscarried and the second that was fine. I think with the first I was very bloated but it was all lower tummy. Second I had a bump and same this time but bigger. I'm at the day I had the Mc in the first pregnancy today so anxiety is even worse

RosiePH · 15/02/2024 14:07

How extra cautious should we be with cooling food? We left some cooked chicken out to cool for about 3 hours last night before putting it in the fridge. I’ve just eaten some of it for lunch, but been hit with anxiety around whether that was okay given it was out on the side for a bit longer than we normally would leave it.

Doesn’t help that I have emetephobia, and am already really struggling with the pregnancy nausea because of the phobia! Roll on the second trimester 😅
