@Nic2908 telling my partner went well. He was in total shock and kept asking me if it was real but he’s really happy.

@4LeafCloverBaby so lovely to be able to see the heartbeat.

I’m still having cramping, pulling sensations. I can’t remember who asked. It almost feels like pre AF symptoms sometimes. I’m definitely waking up starving and feeling nauseous when I don’t eat too. My DC is 5 so I’ve forgotten most of what early pregnancy feels like. My brain is definitely in overdrive thinking about it all. I think that doesn’t help with sleeping!

TMK23 · 11/02/2024 19:37

@Fullofconfusion I’m feeling exactly the same! The cramping is starting to stress me a little, expecting to start bleeding at any moment. Feeling incredibly nauseous if I don’t eat for a while, sore boobs and very sleepy so I’m hoping they’re good signs ?

I never knew the early stages would be so stressful!

hermionelodge · 11/02/2024 19:56

I'm the same, 6 weeks today and I'm really crampy and also have lower back pain. Anxiety is through the roof with it, the cramping feels just like period cramping. Also feel it a bit more on my right side both at the front and in my back! So stressful

4LeafCloverBaby · 11/02/2024 20:23

@TMK23 @Fullofconfusion @hermionelodge if it’s any help at all, I have had awful cramping, much worse than my usual monthly cramping…to the point today where I though I there must be something bad going on. But I had a scan today & saw the heartbeat & they confirmed there was no internal bleeds or anything & the cramping was completely normal. Some people just get it a lot worse than others like period pain. Hopefully that will ease your minds a little x

TMK23 · 11/02/2024 20:31

@4LeafCloverBaby thank you so much for your message! That’s really reassuring to hear.
That’s amazing news about your scan 🥰 congratulations! Xx

hermionelodge · 11/02/2024 20:37

Thanks @4LeafCloverBaby it is nice to hear. Google is my worst enemy and everything just tells you it's bad news! I know I shouldn't Google but can never stop myself!

Nic2908 · 11/02/2024 20:44

@4LeafCloverBaby how exciting to see the heart beat. It’s so lovely to start seeing all of the scans. Mines not until 27th when I will be 8+4 it seems so late but that’s when EPU booked me for. Hopefully everything will be fine and I will be started on aspirin.

ive had a tough couple of emotional days, i keep having flash forwards to being told there’s not heartbeat all over again, then having to delivery and bury them all over again. I’m taking out the fear on everyone around me, unintentionally but I know I’m being a bitch to the ones I love the most. I don’t want to keep talking about loss, because I really wouldn’t want that to cause anyone else unwanted stress or worry. Pregnancy is already so hard isn’t it. I found out on 28th feb 2023, and she was born 02.03.23. I feel like I just need to get past those dates because I can feel them coming does that make sense?

I am sorry for the long post….. will try and finish on a positive note…erm… boobs…. My already humongous boobs are now even bigger, anyone else noted that?

hermionelodge · 11/02/2024 20:50

@Nic2908 sorry to hear of your loss. Its completely understandable what you're going through and your emotions completely justified. Hopefully your loved ones will understand, it's always easiest to lash out on those closest to us. Wishing you all the best in this pregnancy ✨️🤍

Yes to boobs being huge. My boobs are spilling out of my bras already 🙄🙄

Fullofconfusion · 11/02/2024 21:50

@4LeafCloverBaby thank you, that’s so kind of you to offer reassurance. I don’t remember being quite so anxious about it all last time around. I think I just assumed everything would be fine but now I’m older and know more of the risks and have more going on in life the anxiety levels are definitely higher.

Oh @Nic2908 sending a virtual hug. I’m sure that your loved ones understand even if you feel like you’re pushing them away. It sounds like you’ve had a tough journey. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way

Boobs! Yes! Mine were large to start with and they seem bigger and super tender already, happy days. I need to go bra shopping haha

Sunandsea13 · 12/02/2024 07:17

How’s everyone doing this morning? Had an awful morning already, cracked our ceramic hob and then cried about it! On the plus side managed to sleep until 5:30!

A lot of nausea today and period like cramps which always worries me but trying to stay positive. Doing another HCG test and so hoping that helps reassure me.

Sunandsea13 · 12/02/2024 07:18

@4LeafCloverBaby that’s amazing news, you must be so pleased!! :)

aussiegirl89 · 12/02/2024 07:27

Congrats @4LeafCloverBaby 🥹

I had an early scan today. I was terrified I'd lost it this weekend as I had a lot of spotting so managed to get into a scan today.

I am 6 weeks 4 days and everything is measuring as it should and we saw a heartbeat 💓 I'm so relieved. Trying to enjoy this moment and not worry about the next few weeks.

They couldn't find the reason for the spotting but everything looked ok for now 😅

hermionelodge · 12/02/2024 07:48

@Sunandsea13 oh no, definitely not a good start 🙈 hopefully your week improves from here! I have a lot of cramps too, was quote bad through the night! It is so stressful!

@aussiegirl89, thats amazing! Must be such a relief seeing all OK! I have a scan booked for 1st March at 8+5, but I'm.so tempted to pull it forward to this Friday but will just be 6+5. Just can't decide!

aussiegirl89 · 12/02/2024 08:11

@hermionelodge I was so anxious from the spotting I couldn't wait! It was booked for Thursday but brought it forward 😅

Here in aus they have most people come in at 7 weeks!

Poppypear · 12/02/2024 10:49

Just got my book in and 12 week scan appointment - feeling real now!

CluelessInLondon · 12/02/2024 11:41

Welcome @katben24 @polkadotpixie @IskaPiska @73pheonix @mouldygrapes and congratulations to all of you, so lovely to see so many new BFPs and hear everyone's stories. ❤

@4LeafCloverBaby That's such great news from your scan, sounds like everything is exactly as expected. Will you do any more scans or just wait for 12 weeks now?

@Nic2908 Everything you are saying makes perfect sense and the anxieties are totally understandable - it's such a contradiction of experiencing a loss that you want to be pregnant again, but of course being pregnant again brings back the memory and the anxieties.

@aussiegirl89 Good news from your scan, you must be so pleased. I don't think it's always possible to figure out why spotting happens in pregnancy, it just seems to be one of those things - not exactly helpful if it's happening but a good reminder that it's not always something to worry about.

@Sunandsea13 Oh no, that's annoying about your hob! I know what you mean just having a cry over something that in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter that much - I got a letter from HMRC the other day saying I owe some tax and started to blub! It wasn't even that much money!

I had a dream last night about going to the scan that I've got booked on Friday - it was a bit weird, all that happened in the dream was that I had to wait for hours and hours, then they called me in and left me in a room so I never actually had the scan. It's very strange the things our brains do when we're asleep! Definitely struggling to focus on work today though, I feel like everything this week is just a countdown to Friday.

4LeafCloverBaby · 12/02/2024 11:44

@CluelessInLondon i have one booked for 10weeks so I have a good pic to show my family ☺️

CharlieBalf · 12/02/2024 12:11

Just had our best scan, we've been moved from the 'pregnancy of unknown location' to 'pregnancy of unknown viability' 🫠 But the sonographer did see a sac and yolk in the right place, dating us at 5+4, a few days ahead of where my dates put us. So, good news!

They've booked me in for another scan next Monday to hopefully see that little heartbeat 🙏

I was a little concerned as I would have had 3 scans in 3 weeks but no one seemed to bring it up at the EPU.

polkadotpixie · 12/02/2024 12:41

Thanks for the welcome everyone 😊

Is anyone having mainly 1 sided cramps? I'm convincing myself it might be ectopic even though I know it's far more likely to be the corpus luteum

I'm going to be a complete basket case at this rate before I can get a viability scan at 6 weeks 😩

Bee49 · 12/02/2024 12:57

@polkadotpixie i had this with my last pregnancy. My son is now nearly 2 so it was absolutely fine!

Welcome and congratulations to all the new joiners. There’s also a lovely WhatsApp group. I think the link is around page 7 of this chat.

Sunandsea13 · 12/02/2024 13:00

@CluelessInLondon yeah I find it so hard to concentrate at work too! Just so much to think about isn’t there! And same just counting down each week to get to 12 weeks!

spudnik1 · 12/02/2024 13:22

@CluelessInLondon my scan is on Friday after work. I am not concentrating at all doing, its going to be a loooooong week

ll1988 · 12/02/2024 14:02

Hi all, tentatively joining too I’m 6+6 with dc2, we were just about to start fertility treatment as I see a few others were too!

@73pheonix I have also been exposed to the pox, my nephew stayed a few weeks ago and came out a few days later, think my DS has finally succumbed to it as he has one suspicious spot on his hand this morning. I also had it as a child and obviously can’t isolate from my son, but it is in the back of my mind so I understand your worries!

'latest scan' not best!

73pheonix · 12/02/2024 14:12

@ll1988 It’s worrying isn’t it. I spoke to a pharmacist whilst getting some cream for him and they said to isolate from him… (my son also), umm… not really possible!!! He’s sick and needs me among other things! (He’s 3 in March). Will just keep on high alert for spots myself…

@CharlieBalf thats great news!!! I have no idea how in going to get through this week, scan on Friday… I know I’ll be a mess.

Felt quite ill on Saturday, and now absolutely fine today and yesterday. So obviously worried about that! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
