@Hankthehonk I completely agree, it’s fantastic. I just didn’t want to waste a resource if we weren’t going to make use of it. Will sort ours out, thank you.

@CharXo My first one was booked a few days after my 24 week consultant appointment, then the next scan was booked a few days after the first.

Those of you that have had / are having growth scans.. how long did you have to wait for them? I was told the hospital would phone me today but they never did and I’m worried

I’m having growth scans every two weeks. My 34 week scan was missed off though so I just called them up when I realised. Phone the antenatal ultrasound unit if you’ve got the number from other appointment letters.

KayakingBex · 08/01/2024 21:43

@CharXo I would give the hospital a call. Sometimes you can be missed by accident especially if they are short staffed. A quick call to double check your letter hasn’t been lost / call not gone through never hurts. Phone number for mine was in my badger notes app.

Allthatglittersisntart · 08/01/2024 21:48

They gave me a scan with only two days notice(it wasn't strictly necessary though , and only because I couldn't understand baby movements with my anterior placenta until recently, and the Dr said I could have one if I liked). And the one before that(misleading fundal height measurements) was a week after the midwife appointment.

I got my grocery shop delivered this morning, including the snacks for my labour bag. It's getting more and more real. I am starting to feel though like I've got all the gear and no idea 🤣

FTMCHD · 09/01/2024 09:12

Hey everyone, my last update was about the consultant wanting to deliver the girls at 32 weeks. However, with a second opinion, we managed to get to 34+4 and our perfect girls were born on 2nd Jan 2024 weighing 4lb 2oz & 4lb 1oz☺️ They are receiving some extra help but are otherwise perfect 💕

Doodles18 · 09/01/2024 09:14

@LavenderSweetPea that’s a great idea for snacks 😃 I must do the same . I ordered all my bits for hospital from Boots like toiletries etc , feels so real now that bag is packed and sitting there 🙈

undercoverhero74 · 09/01/2024 09:20

I'm just over 35.
I'll be so surprised if I go to 40 weeks!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/01/2024 11:08

@Sunshineclouds11
I have a feeling he's gonna come early. I'll be so shocked if I'm wrong and actually go over x

CharXo · 09/01/2024 11:34

@FTMCHD congratulations!! 💕💕

Allthatglittersisntart · 09/01/2024 11:48

I’m expecting close to 41 weeks(Valentine’s day💖) as a FTM(reading statistics in ‘Expecting better’) and due to every one of my Mum’s babies being late!
Why is everyone else posting here expecting early? Is it based on family history/previous?

amyg1985 · 09/01/2024 11:54

Congrats @FTMCHD - that's amazing news. Hope you and your twins are home soon x

Second babies. They either come early or on due date!
I've already dropped aswell 🙈

Sunshineclouds11 · 09/01/2024 11:55

To add, not all second babies!
But in my experience with friends and family no second baby has been late!

BabyKing20 · 09/01/2024 11:56

@FTMCHD aw lovely news, massive congratulations! Hope you are doing well x

Nemo145 · 09/01/2024 12:09

@FTMCHD glad to hear of the safe arrival of your little ones

Nemo145 · 09/01/2024 12:11

Couple of random questions,
Have people put clothes away for the baby? As in in the drawers etc? I’ve got all mine washed and ready but they are all bagged up.
Also, I want to book a little trip for me, the girls and the baby. Just to a Haven, not abroad. At Easter he’ll be around 10 weeks. Am I mad for even considering that? Should I wait till summer hols? 🤔
