Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@siobhanmt247 Without wanting to sound unsympathetic, if he came down to ask why you're upset and you won't tell him then of course he's going to be annoyed. Why not explain what is upsetting you? As other PPs have said, it could just be that he is in denial this time and not believing there is a baby there yet?

siobhanmt247 · 12/01/2024 14:52

@Caffeinedetox i never say what's wrong with me straight away. I need time to gather my thoughts and to be honest I'm fed up of explaining how sad I am about mum. I guess I thought he'd be more understanding but I'm probably just being hormonal

Afternoon all. I'm feeling so hormonal today. I'm really upset by my partners reaction so far. He's made me feel stupid for thinking I'm pregnant before my period even though I've had about ten positive tests now and for the other pregnancy he was really supportive and wouldn't drink around me or anything but that's not happening this time. He's not even bothered I'm feeling pretty rubbish because he's got a cold so he's got it far worse apparantly. My mum died last month which made us really want to get pregnant as my mum would have been so happy but now Im just sad I can't talk to her about any of it. I should be excited about it all but i feel pretty awful

So sorry to hear about your mum. Before I got pregnant with my son my mum also passed away and I found it really hard not being able to talk to her or tell her. It's such a bittersweet thing. So I'm sorry you're going through it. My partner was very much the same but I put it down to our previous loses that he didn't want to get excited incase something bad happened again. He did come round and now this time he's very much the same.

Always here if you need to talk! Xx

@siobhanmt247
Hi,
sadly men are really bad at reading us. There was a recent study that found men are not naturally driver to empathise, they are naturally driven to be selfish. That explains why his cold is such a big deal for him. We all know a man’s cold is worse than childbirth (lol).
If I were you I’d try to cut you both some slack. Obviously grief doesn’t take fast to process, but if it isn’t his grief, he does not understand it so easily.
Talking about this is a strength not a weakness. Pulling a snail and retrieving to one’s safe space is the easy way out of situations.
take care and cherish yourself ;)

Hi Everyone. Hope its okay I join. Found out i am pregnant a few days ago feeling really nervous though, i had a miscarriage in June at 10 and a half weeks, baby stopped growing at 9 weeks and had one at 6 and a half weeks in December 2022. My estimated due date is 14th September so i am about 4 weeks & 6 days. I have 2 kids already they are 11 and 8. Hope everyone is feeling okay. I've only had a bit of nausea and slightly sore boobs. Look forward to following everyone's journey.

VT6 · 12/01/2024 15:59

@Fik88 We've got the same due date 🫶 I miscarried in my last pregnancy at 7 weeks, I understand the anxiety! Try and take it easy and stay positive xx

Fik88 · 12/01/2024 16:04

@VT6 🫶 you too xx

KittyFantastica · 12/01/2024 16:13

MudandMoet · 12/01/2024 16:37

Oh @KittyFantastica I'm so sorry for you 😭 wishing you every success in getting pregnant again real soon. Take care of yourself 💕😢 xx

MudandMoet · 12/01/2024 16:41

Welcome @Fik88 hopefully this time is successful for you. I guess we're both similar in that we cannot wait to get past that 9 week mark as that's the furthest I got before my first MC too xx

Nyckol · 12/01/2024 17:14

Cat2022 · 12/01/2024 10:41

@VT6 I had a MC in October as well around 6 weeks so I’m also really nervous I’m currently 5 weeks and haven’t phone to book the midwife yet as too nervous but going to do it today.

Wow quite a few with previous mc here, unfortunately so common.
I had a mc in Oct too at just over 6 weeks. I also have 2 children And another mc in between.
Hope for many healthy babies! ❤️

Nyckol · 12/01/2024 17:15

@KittyFantastica I am so sorry, gutted for you: praying for a rainbow baby soon! X

Khanga27 · 12/01/2024 17:28

@KittyFantastica Im so sorry to read your update. Be kind to yourself x

Khanga27 · 12/01/2024 17:36

Thanks all for supportive messages yesterday. So after my brown discharge yesterday I’ve had nothing since and no achiness. My MMC just has me so on edge about things and it just gave me such a shock. Going to try and keep cautiously optimistic and focus on our scan and seeing the heartbeat rather than every little thing being something going wrong.

Cat2022 · 12/01/2024 18:10

Definitely a lot of us on here with previous losses. Sorry to those who September isn’t going to be their month and wishing you lots of luck and baby dust. I phoned the midwife service to get booked in as decided that I was being silly waiting. Maybe helps that I have nausea from the afternoon onwards to remind me it’s still there.

Lemonyfire · 12/01/2024 18:21

Sorry to hear of all the difficulties and @KittyFantastica I’m thinking of you and wishing you luck for future pregnancies.
bit of a random one but has anyone noticed a significant increase in their heart rate? Not sure if it’s just random or because I’m a big dehydrated today but it’s much higher than normal!

siobhanmt247 · 12/01/2024 18:23

@Lemonyfire yes I think it's the extra blood volume or something. I regularly check mine and panic when my resting heart rate dips

Lemonyfire · 12/01/2024 18:26

@siobhanmt247 I’ve always had a low resting heart rate and used to check it a lot. I haven’t for ages but had some palpitations and then noticed how fast it was and it’s been really fast all evening, probably worse because I’m overthinking it too

siobhanmt247 · 12/01/2024 18:32

@Lemonyfire yeah mine was low when I was running alot before my first baby. It dropped a few beats today so I've been a bit worried. Between that and bbt I think I just need to take all my tech off

MrsB2019x · 12/01/2024 18:47

@KittyFantastica I’m so sorry. Please be gentle with yourself 🩷

Starlight11111 · 12/01/2024 19:07

@KittyFantastica I am so sorry. I really hope you get your rainbow soon xxxx

Starlight11111 · 12/01/2024 19:09

Ladies has anyone else experienced the same...

2/3 inches from my belly button to the right I've got this weird sensation. I wouldn't call it pain but it's a sort of dull ache. The spot that it's in is very specific and doesn't move. I first noticed it about 9.30 this morning and it's still going strong.

Normal? Any ideas? Xx

Fik88 · 12/01/2024 19:40

@KittyFantastica so sorry for what you had to go through. Wishing you all the luck in the world for future pregnancies xx

Fik88 · 12/01/2024 19:43

@MudandMoet thank you, hope it is for you too. Yeah definitely cant wait to get to 12 weeks and have a scan, i might be able to relax a little bit then xx
