Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

I just feel like I did in the week leading up to waters breaking with DD…on off cramping, lots of braxton hicks and lightning crotch. So much pressure in my pelvis it feels like my waters could go any second. I have midwife on Tuesday so will have a chat with her then unless the cramping gets worse/more regular!

BloodontheTracks · 02/12/2023 21:30

Anyone else feeling particularly miserable around now? Probably hormones but feel really overwhelmed and sad and not sure why.

Mushroo · 02/12/2023 21:42

@BloodontheTracks me. I seem to be more teary / overwhelmed at weekends, I think the routine of work helps to distract me.

I’ve had objectively a nice day, but went food shopping and couldn’t make any decisions and just felt really crap! It’s such stupid stuff as well.

Im also worrying more about the birth as it gets closer.

Mummyme87 · 02/12/2023 22:08

@Dannic2018 honestly don’t worry about calorie volume going in. Baby will grow regardless of what you put in.

@Mushroo I’m also starting to get anxious about the birth. I’m worried he’s going to stay breech and that’s something I didn’t account for, I’m worried about blood loss although having an iron infusion this week I’m hoping will make me relax more about that

Mushroo · 02/12/2023 22:10

@Mummyme87 glad it’s not just me. I don’t even really have a specific worry, just a general anxiety about things going wrong which isn’t very helpful!

Fingers crossed for you on the breech front - plenty of time still

lucya66 · 03/12/2023 05:03

Hi I’ve had my last growth scan and all on track for 36 weeks. She’s measuring 5lbs 12 ounces. Baby is head down.

im quite constipated and have had to take a laxative as it’s been days of being backed up.

when I cleaned myself between my legs in the shower, my vulva/vagina felt a biT swollen and low. As if my cervix has come down? A bit like when you’re on your period and it’s very tight in there. Like no cavity in the vagina, just all fleshy. I might try to have sex today to see if it’s possible or if it hurts?

but I just wanted to ask if anyone else has ever had this? Could it be related to birth nearing? Or is it some form of prolapse? Maybe from my constipation?

im a ftm so not had this before.

lilluce95 · 03/12/2023 08:04

@lucya66 I'm also a bit swollen around those areas too but I'm only 32 weeks so I hope it isn't near birth 😳 it's quite sore and uncomfortable too!

Mushroo · 03/12/2023 08:06

@lucya66 im really swollen down there too at 36 weeks. I think it’s just hormones rather than a sign of impending labour.

sashastuck · 03/12/2023 08:15

@lucya66 I’ve been swollen there on and off too. I did have sex yesterday and it was still okay so maybe try for your peace of mind but yes I know what you mean by feeling fleshy. It’s been like that for a good 6 weeks though I’d say!

@Mushroo also feeling more anxious about birth now. We’ll be okay everyone x

@buckingmad well I hope baby holds on for a while (if that’s what you want), you know your body, just be super prepared. Wishing you loads of well wishes and luck for the week ahead just in case!!

With my first two I was like that from 31/2 weeks onwards. I'm pretty sure it's hormones and nothing to worry about! I do remember being a bit freaked out by it the first time too. It feels a bit like something has "gone" down there!

Kirova · 03/12/2023 08:22

AshleyCali2Uk · 02/12/2023 00:05

@Kirova the Braxton Hicks are killing me too. I get a shortness of breath during them. I hate it. And I get them alllllllll the time !!! Like this has to be more than the usual. no way any one should be having these types of contractions all day long lol 😂 we are almost at the finish line! I'm 30w6d

Ohh, sympathies - they're horrible! I think it's very unfair that some people are plagued by them and others never get them at all!

Kirova · 03/12/2023 08:37

Sorry for not responding... I ended up being kept in for threatened premature labour due to the contractions and being a bit dilated. Turns out it's probably happened because I had a raging kidney infection which I somehow thought was "normal pregnancy symptoms. Embarrassing!

Luckily all the scans and monitoring have showed that baby is okay and not in distress. I'm on nifedipine, IV antibiotics and having steroid injections and I'm really hoping that it will slow things down and manage to keep her in there a bit longer. The contractions aren't really decreasing yet and they're definitely quite painful now. I just feel like a total failure and an idiot and I'm missing my girls and I want DH to get back... And I'm worried about having to tell work that I can't see out my last weeks, because I bet they're going to be unhappy! Sorry for the moan, I just feel really shook up and guilty. Everyone says it's not my fault, but I kind of feel like it is.

Hope you're okay! How many weeks are you now?

buckingmad · 03/12/2023 08:49

@Kirova don’t worry about work! There’s nothing you can do. Hope you and baby are ok.

I’m 35 weeks on Tuesday so would ideally like baby to hang on a little longer. Maybe it’s just cause it’s my second, I’ve not kept up with my fitness as well as with my first plus also running around after said first! I’ve just had this strong feeling for weeks that she’s going to be on the earlier side. Watch me now go 2 weeks overdue 😂

Pains definitely eased once I got into bed with just the odd cramping session during the night. Would love to take it easy today but today is my last clear day before my parents come to visit so want to blitz the house as I’ll only have time for little touch ups during the week with work.

lucya66 · 03/12/2023 09:22

Thank you everyone for your replies! Hormonal makes sense

Mummyme87 · 03/12/2023 10:05

The heat in my in laws house is so bad my thighs lower legs ankles and feet are one big log with cocktail sausages for toes. Need some fresh air 🥵 leaving after lunch so will be fine but jeepers! Also I’ve drank so much tea here I was up every hours for a wee.

@Kirova don’t worry about work, you’re and baby’s health trumps that every day.

last week of work for me, three shifts which will be a massive struggle but it’s the end. Lots to do, need to sort out a cupboard in the living room, do a loft trip to take stuff up and bring crib/car seat/changing table down. House needs a good clean and tidy. Finish Christmas shopping, kids are nearly done. Need to get a tree, still need to find a car and sell ours. DH is on his own world about that.

In other news I think also baby may have moved from breech to cephallic, just feels different this morning when I palpate

Dannic2018 · 03/12/2023 13:02

One must remember that I’m 35 weeks pregnant and walking in the snow miles and up hills to go sledging with my toddler really isn’t big or clever, obviously I’m not that stupid to go up the big hills and sledge but god I’m killing now. My little boy has loved his life and it was worth it for that but god I’m so pregnant now.
Must get some energy and crack some jobs out because I don’t think I’ll go full term this time 😩

LittleAlien24 · 03/12/2023 16:45

Hope everyone who have not being feeling well are better now.
@Gremlin84 sorry for the loss
@Kalodin Clara looks absolutely gorgeous. Hope you both doing well.

Have been reading now and then but haven't wrote anything because i just feel sorry for myself. Still have about week and a half for builders to finish the ceiling. After that it will probably take me and girls 5x to clean the house off dust so i could finally wash his clothes again. My discs are killing me😔 for the last 4 days i can't walk properly, i can't sit or stand long (longer than a minute or 2), can't bend down. .. Was telling girls that i need a walking frame or something because i literally get myself going by using walls, furniture etc in the house. Plus im getting pains in my stomach, stool has gone softer, getting blurred vision and last 2 days it feels like someone gave me tranquiliser because all i do is sleep. Im worried he'll be early and DH won't be home until 22 December. Im usually level headed and know what has to be done but im struggling with it really badly at the moment, i just want him home now.
Sorry for the moan but i don't want to cry to DH again because he feels so useless and bad that he's not here with me.

Luhou · 03/12/2023 18:37

Anybody else desperate to slow down but just cant? I've had a melt down this evening I've had such a busy week and next week looking the same. My DD is full on and I have no time where I'm not working or looking after her.

DH is busy with work, house renovations and taking care of DD also.

I feel completely burnt out and just cannot keep going like this, but feel like I have no solution.

I also slipped on the ice yesterday, and am really uncomfortable today feeling bruised.

Just feel like that fact I'm heavily pregnant is invisible to everybody!

FirstT1meMum · 03/12/2023 18:54

@Luhou I know exactly how you feel and I don't have a child to look after so I really don't know how you do it!

Work is absolutely full on and I just feel I can't keep up and I keep getting things added to my to do list before I go off in 3 weeks and I just don't know how I'm going to do it all! Feeling so overwhelmed with my list but they just don't seem to see it!

There's also Christmas literally around the corner and we are no where near prepared!

I hope you feel a little less tender tomorrow after slipping, that sounds so scary!

Luhou · 03/12/2023 19:40

Thanks @FirstT1meMum it's good to know it's not just me. I think the due date/christmas allignment is making everything more pressured! Feel like we're going to blink and it's going to be January.

Not much progress getting baby stuff ready this weekend. Picked up a few bits for my hospital bag plus aldi had some nice muslins and bibs in so stocked up on those too.

I am thinking about booking a pregnancy massage for Wednesday, seeing if MIL will have DD for a few hours. Although another £35, feels like we're also hemoraging money constantly what with house renovations, baby preperations and Christmas!

Mummyme87 · 03/12/2023 20:00

Yep also feeling totally overwhelmed. I’ve just had a cry. The kids are being little shits, I have so much to do, christmas is 3wks away, and we need a bloody car!!!! DH is just totally oblivious to the need. I would want to take the car seat up north with us for Christmas, just in case but we don’t have space to put it in 😖😖 we have no spare time.

PartRadish · 03/12/2023 20:15

Meltdown City here too. Middle kid is relentlessly being a 💩 atm. Haven't got any Christmas decs up because there are a 1000 things that need finishing in the house first. We're in court for youngest school place tribunal hearing in 2 weeks and I don't feel at all prepared, we're going to lose anyway so struggling to find the motivation to fight. Still have nearly all of the baby things left to wash and find a homes for, on top of the usual mountain of washing. Plus kids have all got ANOTHER bug and I've come down with it tonight too.

And this baby is definitely trying to break my ribs on purpose. I don't know what I've done but it feels personal at this point 😂

@Luhou ive booked a pregnancy massage for the day I finish work 🙌🏽 although jealous of yours only being £35! Couldn’t get one cheaper than £55 near me.

lucya66 · 03/12/2023 21:02

@LittleAlien24 aw bless you, I hope you’re feeling better now. It’s understandable to feel so overwhelmed when you’ve got so much on. All you can do is take it a day at a time. Good luck and take care of yourself 💐
