Hello ladies!! I feel like I've forgotten someone but not sure who?!

Great news @Kewchoc. There’s also defo something nice about having that official ‘first’ picture ☺️

I didn’t hear about nub theory until recently, and then haven’t really thought about it since I already know we’re having a boy from the genetic test. But what’s your interpretation? Another boy or a girl this time???

Kewchoc · 07/01/2024 19:50

@Amberellaella I'm really not sure - I would say girl based off a few different things, but I was absolutely convinced ds was a girl when I was pregnant with him 🤣 booking a gender scan for 27th Jan so I guess I'll find out then!

Has anyone decided on any names? We are pretty set on both boy and girl names so it will be nice to refer to them as their name instead of "it" once we know!

Kewchoc · 07/01/2024 19:51

@SnookyPook Sorry I didn't see your message until after I'd posted! The nub definitely looks flat BUT I'm not sure it's actually the nub that I'm looking at 🤣

We had a girl name chosen - but obviously won’t be using it now so if anyone wants Elinor Daria (Ellie for short, and DH is half Persian so DC have Persian middle names) then it’s wide open 😂

Only just started thinking about boys but Ethan, Max and Jasper all on the list so far… We’ll choose the first name before the middle.

Are you sharing yours or keeping them to yourself for now?

Amberellaella · 08/01/2024 15:00

…also it seems that I spoke too soon re: starting to feel better 🤢

Kewchoc · 10/01/2024 07:22

@Amberellaella oooh that's a lovely name! I would imagine that there will be lots of lovely Persian names to choose from for a boy though! My husband is also mixed race (Nigerian) so we also have a combination of African and English names. We've always said we would call a girl Nala Ann (middle name after my husband's grandmother) and we really like Obi Andrew for a boy - though I do feel like the African heritage would get completely missed and people may think we had named him after Star Wars!!

OP posts:
Amberellaella · 13/01/2024 09:34

Awww @Kewchoc, both Nala and Obi are lovely names. I think as long as your surname doesn’t rhyme with kenobi you’ll be fine 😂

I think I’ve started to feel baby move, it’s a stretching feeling like I’m being pushed from the inside. Obviously I am still anxious though so I’ve booked a scan for next week Sunday. Is it just me or does it seem like forever between the 12 and 20 week scans????

Kewchoc · 13/01/2024 17:29

@Amberellaella Thank you ☺️ hahaha our surname is Williams so hopefully we'll be ok on the Star Wars front 🤣

Aww have you, that's so exciting! I've had a couple of little twinges which I really cannot tell whether it was baby or wind! When did you start feeling dd move? I remember feeling ds move at 16 weeks and then not again for a week or so, but presumably we will notice it a little earlier second time around anyway!

OP posts:
Kewchoc · 13/01/2024 17:30

Also yes, it's a very long wait between scans! We're also booking another scan for 27th Jan so we can find out the gender 🥰

OP posts:
Amberellaella · 15/01/2024 16:03

@Kewchoc It was later with DD, but they say you feel movement earlier second time around. Plus at my 12 week scan the sonographer said that she thinks I have a posterior placenta. I didn't think much of it at the time but have since discovered that apparently that means you can feel movement sooner. We shall see!

My current major source of anxiety is my ridiculous weight gain. I'm literally putting on a lb a week due to eating all of the things to keep the sickness at bay. I really hope it doesn't last - I don't fancy being 3 stone over my fighting weight!! Trying not to worry about it, but I didn't gain much with DD so this is all new...

My scan's been moved to the 28th (boo) so looking forward to your update first :-)

How are you guys getting on @Agathapoirot @tlw14 @SnookyPook @HashB (and anyone else I've missed)?

Agathapoirot · 15/01/2024 17:06

All good here! 17+3 today and definitely starting to get a bump now.

Heard the heartbeat at my 16 week appointment last Monday which was lovely, and now on the countdown to 2nd Feb for the 20 week scan.

Still suffering with anxiety around things being okay, and I’ve not felt any movements yet, but it’s my first pregnancy and still early days!

How is everyone getting on? X

SnookyPook · 15/01/2024 17:47

@Amberellaella thanks for checking in! I'm doing ok but the nerves are slightly on the up again ahead of my 10wk scan on Weds. Trying to keep calm! I've also had the date through for my 12wk scan which is same day as your 20wk one @Agathapoirot on 2nd Feb! I think I was beyond 20wks before I felt movement with my son so could still be a few weeks for you yet. Must have been so lovely to hear the heartbeat 🥰

Agathapoirot · 15/01/2024 19:44

It really was, especially as some ladies in the June forum had said the midwives don’t always do it, but my midwife did it without even thinking which was great!

Good luck for your 10 week scan, will be thinking of you! Fingers crossed 2nd of Feb comes round quick for both of us

Amberellaella · 16/01/2024 16:51

Sounds amazing @Agathapoirot. Got my next midwife appt on the 30th so hopefully will get to hear the heartbeat as well ☺️

Good to hear that all is well @SnookyPook! Good luck for tomorrow and let us know how you get on x

Kewchoc · 17/01/2024 09:17

@SnookyPook thinking of you today, keep us updated 😊

How's everyone feeling emotionally? Honestly, the last week or so I feel like an absolute headcase. Work is stressful but I've been getting so irrationally angry and struggling to keep calm, luckily I'm close with my manager and don't need to worry about being too professional but I've spent so much time in her office ranting and swearing and being so angry, then ended up crying yesterday when she was nice to me! It's so embarrassing because I'm not usually like this at all, particularly at work, and I wasn't like it when I was pregnant with ds either so it's all new to me

OP posts:
SnookyPook · 17/01/2024 14:16

@Kewchoc thank you! Happily it was good news again! Measuring 10wks and we got a little wave! Little one was proper wriggling about loads! 😊

I've not been too bad with the emotions yet but remember getting that way with my son when I was further on. At least you have an understanding boss!

Kewchoc · 17/01/2024 18:14

@SnookyPook Ahh that's great to hear, you must be over the moon! 🥰

Yes definitely a good thing that my boss and I are so close otherwise god knows how I'd deal with it!! Hoping it's a temporary thing and that I don't carry on like it for the remaining 25 weeks!

Has anyone been taking progesterone and suffered with bad migraine headaches?

Kewchoc · 23/01/2024 09:49

Hey gang! How are we all doing?

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 23/01/2024 11:11

Hey, all good thanks! 18+4 today, and ended up hearing the heartbeat on Sunday after needing to go and checked over after falling over on my run 🫣

20 week scan is next Friday and I’m counting down the days! I still haven’t told anyone but my manager at work so if all is well I can stop wearing baggy jumpers 🤣

How are you all doing? Are you finding out the sex? I want a suprise, partner wants to find out! Need to decide before next week 🤣

HashB · 23/01/2024 13:45

@1111hope im on progesterone but no it hasn’t give me headaches. I just cry, all the time. Happy things, sad things, because I’m tired, because it was a nice song, just cry cry cry.

I am reading this post, I’m just not really posting because I don’t have much faith this 4th time will be any different to the first 3, albeit I have had a scan and this is the only baby that’s measured to date, the rest of them have always been 5-7 days small, so I’m hoping that’s a good sign.

Pleased you’re ok after your fall @Agathapoirot !

Amberellaella · 23/01/2024 20:17

All Ok here - feeling baby move fairly regularly now which is lovely, and so helpful for the anxiety. Also the sickness is finally starting to pass… just need to regain some energy now!!

Glad to hear that you’ve had a scan @HashB, how far on are you now? Hopefully the Progesterone has done the trick!

@Agathapoirot I haven’t officially told work yet either, but basically everyone knows anyway 😂 impressed that you’re still running… Good on you x

All Ok with you @Kewchoc? looking forward to your scan on Sat? I’m going to bring DD to mine on Sunday, she’s very excited about the special camera that can see her brother ☺️

Kewchoc · 26/01/2024 19:37

Glad to hear things are going well and some symptoms are easing off!

@HashB completely understand your worry, but from speaking to other people on here it does sound as though baby measuring correctly is a great sign and that it's quite common for mc to happen when baby is measuring behind, I think that was actually the case with most of us on the original thread! So based on that I would take it as a hugely positive sign that this little one is here to stay 😊 when is your next scan?

@Agathapoirot I am also impressed that you're still running! I've basically merged into our sofa recently I've spent so much time on it! Have you decided whether to find out the gender??

@Amberellaella how exciting that you're feeling movement!! I've had a few little wiggles but nothing regular yet, though I have read that it's normal to feel movement later with a tilted uterus so trying not to worry. Well I was very excited for our gender scan tomorrow but they've actually called to move it to Sunday! I know it's only one day, but feels like such a long wait! What time is your scan? I've had a few dreams recently where we found out it's a girl, which apparently usually means it's a boy, so who knows!!
Ive been feeling truly awful recently, just completely wiped out every day! Thought I was over the worst of it but now it really does seem to be back and not going anywhere

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 26/01/2024 20:11

@Kewchoc - It’s definitely very adhoc and starting to feel a bit uncomfortable, so will be swapping to walking more often instead! I’ve started a pregnancy yoga group which I’m loving too, so definitely will have to start taking it a bit easier.

One week today until the 20 week scan and I can’t wait to make sure everything is as it should be and start getting properly excited 😀

@Amberellaella - Amazing that you’re feeling movement already, I keep feeling… things… but not sure if it’s baby or something else entirely 🤣

@HashB - It sounds like everything is on track, but totally understand your hesitation.

Amberellaella · 27/01/2024 07:13

@Kewchoc oh dear, sorry to hear you’re suffering. Hopefully we’re all on the verge of experiencing the mythical burst of second trimester energy 😂 I could definitely do with it; my house is a tip.

@Agathapoirot yay one week to go! Sounds as if, like me, 20 weeks is your last milestone… I’m sure all is well and if you’re feeling possible movement then that’s definitely good!

They say you feel your second move much earlier, plus I have a posterior placenta, which probably explains why I’m feeling him early.
