Hello ladies!! I feel like I've forgotten someone but not sure who?!

How’d you get on @Kewchoc? All good here - little man growing nicely and everything looks fine in there ☺️

Kewchoc · 28/01/2024 13:05

@Amberellaella Haha if the second trimester is planning on making an appearance I would appreciate it if it would turn up sooner rather than later! I know what you mean about your house, ours is also an absolute bomb site at the minute which is really stressing me out but I simply do not have the energy to deal with it!
Glad all was well with your scan, did your dd enjoy it? Ours isn't until 4 this afternoon so of course today is absolutely dragging!!

Second trimester energy! That should say 🙄

Yes, she loved it. And the sonographer printed her a special picture with ‘Hello big sister’ on it ☺️

Boo to 4pm scans, you’re just going to have to have a nap so it comes round faster 😂

Kewchoc · 28/01/2024 15:03

@Amberellaella Oh that's so lovely, what a nice keepsake for her to have!

Haha I know... currently sat in a nearby pub watching bloody football with dh and placing our final bets on what we think we're having! He thinks girl but I still can't make my mind up. A lot of my friends think girl based on nub/skull theory but they all thought our ds was a girl, so clearly they're not very good at guessing 🤣

OP posts:
Kewchoc · 28/01/2024 16:37

Just on our way home to tell ds that he's getting a baby BROTHER 🥰 he was all perfect and still measuring ahead! Although not sure how my dad and stepmum will feel as this is now their sixth grandson hahaha think they were hoping for a girl! 🤣

@Kewchoc - that’s wonderful news! 🥰 Congratulations!

Amberellaella · 28/01/2024 18:55

Awwwww, congratulations @Kewchoc that’s lovely news. Hello baby Obi! I always think with two of the same flavour they’re more likely to be friends when they grow up ☺️

And nevermind re: your parents. Mine had the opposite problem with four granddaughters so they’re both pleased and confused about finally having a grandson 😂

When’s your 20 week scan @Agathapoirot?

Caved and bought my first babygro from Sainsbury’s on the way home… Was supposed to be waiting until after 20 weeks!

Amberellaella · 28/01/2024 18:57

PS scratch that @Agathapoirot - just read the last page and it told me your scan is on Friday… Exciting stuff!

Agathapoirot · 28/01/2024 20:26

@Amberellaella and we’ve decided to find out the sex too 😬 Feeling very nervous and very excited! 5 more sleeps!

SnookyPook · 28/01/2024 20:29

@Kewchoc aw congratulations - lovely news! 🥰 Haha seems your friends still have some work to do on their nib guessing skills 😄

Amberellaella · 02/02/2024 21:22

Aw wonderful! And congrats on a little boy 🥰

Meanwhile, a bit behind here buuuut had my 12wk scan today and little one looks healthy! They were wriggling and kicking lots and the NT was normal range! Massive relief and can't quite believe I've made it to this milestone. Trying to enjoy this high before potential nerves kick in again at some point!! Already got the date for my 20wk scan at the end of March which really doesn't sound very far away, though will feel like an eternity I'm sure!!

Agathapoirot · 03/02/2024 06:24

@Amberellaella - I’m in a WhatsApp group with others due in June and there’s something like 11 boys and 4 girls, it’s mad! Now you e got through what feels like the 7 weeks of January, it’ll flyby!

@SnookyPook - That’s amazing news! So pleased for you! The wait for me seemed to drag, but at the same time can’t quite believe I’m now half way already. It’ll be here before you know it!

Really is amazing hearing all these updates considering how this thread started for us all! 🥰

Amberellaella · 03/02/2024 07:13

Awwww, @SnookyPook that’s great news ☺️ are you going to tell people now?

Awwww, @SnookyPook that’s great news ☺️ are you going to tell people now?

Yes we've told our nearest and dearest. Not doing a big official announcement or anything but it's so nice to share the news with people who care about us. Makes it all a bit more real too!

Amberellaella · 07/02/2024 15:41

How’s everyone doing?

I’m so tiiiiiiiiired… Can I have a day off of being pregnant please? 😂

Kewchoc · 10/02/2024 10:42

@Amberellaella Haha I know exactly how you're feeling!! I am also permanently exhausted! But definitely feeling movements fairly regularly now which makes it feel more worthwhile 🥰 have you thought about when you're going to start your maternity leave?? I was planning on working until the last day of June but I'm already thinking I might need to finish a little earlier because I'm struggling so much with work at the moment (though it is absolute chaos there at the moment so maybe it will feel easier once this stage passes)

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 11/02/2024 12:49

Ooo yes am with you on the tiredness! I think I’m starting to feel pops and things so hoping it won’t be too much longer and it’ll be a bit more regular and noticeable.

We’re waiting for a little bit of building work to be done before I can get started on the nursery, and have somewhere to store things, but I’m itching to start buying things!

Fletn22 · 11/02/2024 13:40

Hi everyone, I just found this thread and was wondering if I could join? I am 15.5 weeks pregnant following a MMC last year at 9 weeks and finding the whole thing predictably anxiety inducing (made worse by stupidly seeing a tarot card reader with my friend on a whim at 5 weeks who told me I would never have children…) but it’s so reassuring to read all of your stories and how you’re coping with the inevitable fear that comes with pregnancy after loss. I thought I would be okay after the 12 week scan but am currently struggling with the limbo between 12 and 20 weeks where a lot of the pregnancy symptoms have faded but no movement yet! I finally caved and booked a private scan for next Saturday as 20 weeks feels way too far off 😂 anyway, hope you’re all having a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing how things develop for all of us xx

Amberellaella · 11/02/2024 18:58

Hi @Fletn22 and welcome. Sorry for your loss but congratulations on your new pregnancy.

You are definitely in good company. FWIW I found my private scan at 16 weeks incredibly reassuring and baby is doing somersaults on the regular now which is MASSIVELY helping with the anxiety.

I’m still not taking anything for granted though and waiting until after 20 weeks to buy anything because I still can’t quite shake the fear that it’s all going to go wrong again…

Amberellaella · 11/02/2024 20:40

@Agathapoirot exciting that you’re starting to feel movement too! It gets really weird when they kick you but are bigger and do you can see the outline of a foot sticking out of your stomach 😂
