Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

So glad I found this chat!

ive Had previous losses also, so I’m feeling pretty anxious and overwhelmed!

i have a Ten year old son with ASD and complex needs but he adores children and babies so hoping I get to watch him become a big brother however also super anxious I won’t manage🫣❤️

Due date: 11 July 2024.

ELJ1502 · 09/11/2023 06:36

I bit the bullet and completed the self referral form Through badger. This wasn’t a thing with my first. I had to ring the midwife and she then gave me a booking appointment.

Has anyone else self referred and still had a booking appointment? From what I read, it sounds like I will just get a 12 week scan appointment and nothing else. I know midwife appointment are reduced with a second but I didn’t expect that.

Another two positives today; I was worried I hadn’t dipped the first long enough. 😂 Nausea has definitely increased. 🤢🤢

Tryingforanother2020 · 09/11/2023 07:57

It’s all self referrals where I am. Booking appts done over the phone and you get a letter for your 12 week scan. Bloods done after scan and then you see midwife around 16 weeks. Second/subsequent pregnancies see midwife far less frequently than first time also x

Purtyburty · 09/11/2023 08:16

The nausea is real now. I can't stand it 😭

Notjustafurmum · 09/11/2023 08:40

Morning everyone

Hope you don't mind if I join?

Had my official BFP on Tuesday (had been having faint lines since last Thursday) but have had loads of symptoms already.

I've self referred through badger but just waiting for a response. I have changed my name recently so I do wonder if it will take them longer to realise who I am

We've booked a private scan on 27th to be sure but I'm apparently due around 21st July!

This is our first so very excited but nervous!

bringmearainbow · 09/11/2023 09:13

@pontipinemum I think you can still get some residual IB a few days later it's a good sign that it's brown. Have you had anymore this morning?

@ELJ1502 you will still have a booking appointment you have one for every pregnancy. Different trusts organise them in different ways mine send out letter appointments whereas others have it done over the telephone.

I woke up with horrific heartburn this morning and couldn't take anything for it because it doesn't interact well will my thyroid medication. Thankfully it buggered off after I ate breakfast

Hi all, excited to join this thread! I’m 28 and this is my first pregnancy- EDD 14th July from LMP 💕
I can’t help being a serial tester so here is my line progression so far
I too am thinking about when to have a private scan as I am a very anxious human- 7 weeks sounds like a good time but given how far into my cycle I ovulate I’m not sure if it’s still a bit early- any thoughts or experiences??

Due July 24
Blackberry95 · 09/11/2023 10:34

@ELJ1502 you do get a booking apt on badger net but it can take a bit to appear on the system- when the team have done it it will appear on that first tab under the pre-booking questionnaire ☺️

MrsHousePlant · 09/11/2023 10:40

Just had the call for my booking appointment on the 4th December! It’s all feeling quite real now despite the fact my symptoms are minimal so I keep taking tests.

Hope you are all doing okay!

bringmearainbow · 09/11/2023 10:45

@Blackberry95 if you know roughly when you ovulated work out 7 weeks from that. I have to adjust my cycle too because I ovulate around day 20 which can make me look a week ahead than I normally am.

@MrsHousePlant exciting! I think it's really hard to stop taking tests especially if you have them sitting there 😆

Hello everyone. May I join the thread?
I really hope I am not jinxing myself by doing this but I need people to talk to!
I got a tentative BFP this morning at 10dpo. If the wee bean sticks this will be my second pregnancy.

I am not completely sure when I ovulated as my bbt dropped massively for 5 days after my positive opk, so I am going by my body signals.
I have a 3 year old son. It took us 18 months to get pregnant with our son. And this time only 3 cycles. So I can't quite believe it.
I also did not get a BFP with my son until 4 days after my missed period do this is quite new to me.
I am also very very aware that this could end in a CP or miscarriage. Because I haven't really mussed my period yet I am terrified she will come ans snatch this bean away from me.
I literally can't remember what I am supposed to do. When to call the GP, what I can't eat etc.
My husband doesn't want us to tell anyone yet. So feeling quite alone. Not sure when to tell our son either. Need to prevent him from bouncing on my belly.

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 11:12

This is my first and one and only test so far.
Symptom wise I have an acute sense of smell, Tender nipples, Tender breasts. I have a tiny bit of lower back pain but not sure if that's from my workout yesterday.
And today I have some pulling sensations. Don't know if I am making those up.
I also literally just signed up for a gym. So not sure if I can continue going or not.

Hi all.
Just after some tips - when I was pregnant with my son, I had really bad nausea but I was 'lucky' as it was lockdown and I was able to 'hide' 😄 but also, the more nauseous I felt I just went to bed and barely ate which obviously made it worse!

Last time I was pregnant, this year and out of lockdown (I had a MC at 12 weeks) I snacked on Ritz crackers and it helped a little but obvs they are not very healthy 😄

Has anyone got any snacks they eat that makes you feel better? I guess I'm looking for inspirartion!

Tryingforanother2020 · 09/11/2023 11:18

Congratulations!! We also have a 3 year old (and a 5 year old), and have decided not to tell them until we have had a scan. I think we will book a private around 7-8 weeks. I don’t want to tell them too early incase anything is wrong and I feel they are too young to be put through that. But I’m definitely just making sure they’re more careful around me! My at the time 2 year old was all over me in my last class pregnancy, but baby is well protected xx

MrsHousePlant · 09/11/2023 11:49

@bringmearainbow I agree but I think my husband thinks I’m crazy 😂 I said it’s my only proof I’m pregnant!

@FigandHoney I have still been going to the gym and doing my usual exercise, just toning it down and taking rest if I need it.

RoseQuartzAndMoonstone · 09/11/2023 12:28

Oh no I've just wiped blood. It's brown but is this too late for implantation bleeding? AF was due 2 days ago.

😪 I guess I'll just have to see what morning brings. I've a friend coming round but not close enough to be telling her this.

I believe spotting is normal in the early stages, what does the AF mean? If you mean period was due 2 days ago, I'm sure you can get implantation bleeding too during your due period.

Have you tried to test again? Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

pleasehelp5 · 09/11/2023 13:08

Hi guys,

Very new to all of this. I'm 33 and this is our first child. Currently 5 weeks due 11th July.

Sickness is in full force, but I've been in quite a lot of pain, some sharp pains in my womb that last around a couple of minutes usually happen around the same time of day, feeling quite heavy all the time and just a dull ache when not the sharp pains. Is this normal?

Tia x

MummyBear2519 · 09/11/2023 13:21

I just took another digital test thinking my weeks would now show 3+ but still says 2-3. Should I be worried? With my 2 previous pregnancies I wasn’t this anxious

Cattattack · 09/11/2023 13:27

@pontipinemum - oh I hope it's nothing sinister, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

For those talking about private scans, I booked my scan at 6 weeks 5 days but the place called me and said there's a chance they may not necessarily be able to hear a heartbeat until 7 weeks plus, so recommended to shift it slightly. So I would probably recommend to book from 7 weeks if you want to hear the heartbeat.

Cattattack · 09/11/2023 13:29

@RoseQuartzAndMoonstone maybe try tests that aren't strips. I am 14DPO and they are much fainter than other tests I've tried...I had one called 'Answer' & that gave a pretty clear line.

Bali200 · 09/11/2023 13:55

@MummyBear2519 I’m the same, did another this morning and still 2-3 so I’ve been feeling anxious all day. Picked some more up on my lunch break to do over the next couple of days

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 13:55

@Cattattack yes. I got my last scan at the end of 6 weeks just before 7 weeks. Heart had just started beating. So 7 weeks is a better bet and will keep you from worrying if you don't hear the heartbeat at 6 weeks.
Planning to book a private ultrasound as soon as I have passed missing AF.

@MummyBear2519 With my son it took ages to get to 2-3 weeks, let alone 3 weeks. I think people have different levels of hcg. I wouldn't worry too much.

@pleasehelp5 Yes I remember quite a lot of cramping in the early stages. It's your uterus preparing yo stretch / loosening up and some say the baby burrowing in more. Don't worry.

@pontipinemum A bit of brown blood is OK during pregnancy. Even red blood. As long as you are not soaking through a pad every hour. There are several reasons this can happen. I had a subchrionic hematoma with my son at 5/6 weeks. It was really really scary.

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 13:58

@MrsHousePlant thank you! Have you been going to the gum long? I only just started so worried my body isn't used to it.

@Tryingforanother2020 Thank you! Yes I think we might do something similar. Book a private ultrasound for around 7 weeks. Then tell him then. We don't have our parents nearby so nobody to look after him when we go to the ultrasound.

MummyBear2519 · 09/11/2023 14:00

@FigandHoney & @Bali200 thank you. Looks like I will have Amazon prime some more and try again in a few days. If I got the 3+ I was going to give my oh the green light to tell his best friend before he travels home until Christmas. We are seeing him Saturday so will try again then
