Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining? I am currently 4wks 4days and found out 6 days before my period that I was expecting. I feel like I ovulated slightly earlier in my cycle though so could be a week further along than I thought. Had very strong positive lines every day since initially finding out. Won't have my booking appt until 08/12 and have booked a private scan for 15/12 as don't think I can wait until January with a house move and all! Looking forward to getting to know you all as we advance Smile

MoonlightDreamer · 08/11/2023 12:44

If all goes well im also due July.
This is an ivf baby and taken alot of years and tears and create .
According to ivf calculator they seem to vary in date between 18th and 24th.
I feel a bit premature thinking about a due date but I'm trying to remain hopeful.
I had a chemical pregnancy one year ago and I think it has me obsessing over every little thing. Its nerve wrecking

pontipinemum · 08/11/2023 12:53

@bringmearainbow I've booked a private appointment for 6.5 weeks. I just can't be dealing with EPU this time. Although I did like getting the Hcg numbers

CPHB2021 · 08/11/2023 12:56

Ugh my post just came with some cheapie strip tests and I've JUST gone for a wee. Now I need to hold for a few hours to see a BFN because I'm testing too early anyway 😂😂

Kate9423 · 08/11/2023 14:18

I'm 5w1d today and have self referred. Just had my first midwife appt through for 5th December. 😬

CheshGirl · 08/11/2023 14:22

I feel like crying, 6+1 and the morning sickness is something else. I can't work, I can't look after my children.
I'm like a shell of my former self!
My first 2 pregnancies weren't this bad, I'm terrified that week 9 is the peak for morning sickness as I can't imagine feeling any worse than this SadSadSadSadSadSad

Ewbo2024 · 08/11/2023 14:35

Hi @Purtyburty
HCG results from yesterday are back - HCG 1681.
Is that a good number? I'm approx 17dpo, but have long cycles (35 days) so Flo App has me at 5 weeks 3 days since LMP.
Any insight welcome 🙏
Have asked GP if they're sending me for a repeat test or not, and waiting to hear back.
How are you doing today?
Slight TMI but I've got upset stomach, though I wonder if it's the high dose folic acid GP has given me😅

Ewbo2024 · 08/11/2023 14:37

Sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly & hope it eases for you soon @CheshGirl 🌸

Purtyburty · 08/11/2023 16:01

@Ewbo2024 I think those levels sound great! Especially for 17dpo. I have booked a scan for 7 weeks and currently 5+5

Ewbo2024 · 08/11/2023 16:33

@Purtyburty Ohh that's exciting! Not too long to wait! Let me know how you get on
I'm still undecided with booking a private scan but no doubt I'll change my mind.

MummyBear2519 · 08/11/2023 17:44

Just got my first midwife app through for the 1st December. Have a private scan booked for the 30th November when I think I’m 8 weeks. I only registered on the hospital site on Monday so happened very quickly. I did have to tick the ‘previous pre eclampsia and HELLP’ button so not sure if that’s flagged me up quicker.

Good luck for everyone’s test and scans. My symptoms are still pretty much the same. I just want carbs 24/7. Will take another digital test at the weekend to check my weeks are going up then I really need to relax

Purtyburty · 08/11/2023 17:57

@MoonlightDreamer my first pregnancy was IVF and the day of your 5 day transfer you are 2 weeks 4 days pregnant. And due date is 40 weeks x

KM8 · 08/11/2023 19:38

Hi all! Im currently 4 weeks and 4 days. I've got my booking appt for 1st December like you @MummyBear2519!

I haven't booked any scans or anything - with my first pregnancy it was in lockdown so feel like I'm experiencing everytime properly for the first time!

MummyBear2519 · 08/11/2023 19:45

@KM8 I’ve never had a private scan before but with this being my oh first baby. He is also not able to keep a secret so I will feel better having an early scan to know everything is ok before he inadvertently lets slip.
We are also flying to a Christmas market for a few days before the 12 week scan

Have you got the badger app yet?

KM8 · 08/11/2023 19:51

@MummyBear2519 awww that's so exciting for your other half too! I haven't downloaded the badger app yet, do you know if all NHS trusts use it? I just used the handheld notes last time?

But would be good to use if I could!
Have you told any family yet your news?

bringmearainbow · 08/11/2023 20:05

@CPHB2021 did you test this afternoon?

@CheshGirl ahhh I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish 😢 can you ring gp and try and get some anti sickness?

@Ewbo2024 sounds like a good number it's in the range for 5 weeks. My test from last night came back at 1942 and that was 5+1. The first test doesn't really tell you much so they should get you to do another 48 hours later to see if it's rising well. Upset tummy can be caused by hormones it's usually one way or the other 🙈

@KM8 not all trusts use the badger app it all depends

So many people with booking in appointments already I have to wait for mine to come through the post let's hope postie brings em quick 🤞🏼

@KM8 I’m in the South East. I think the app replaces having to carry around a booklet with all your notes in.
I haven’t told anyone yet but need to think of a reason to get someone to cover me for my midwife appointment. I’m in a team of 4 and one lady is retiring in May so my business manager is going to get very stressed that I will be leaving soon after

ELJ1502 · 08/11/2023 20:25

Hi, Hope it’s okay to join.

I’m 31 and have had my BFP for our second. We have a DD who is almost 4 and have been trying for this one for just over a year.

I’m currently 11dpo and my period is due tomorrow so lines are still quite faint. I feel so much more anxious this time and I don’t know why. I haven’t contacted the midwife yet because I’m scared it will jinx it. 🙈

Already feeling very uterus heavy and queasy.

Flo and Natural Cycles are saying due date would be around the 18th of July.

Samszie · 08/11/2023 21:21

Hi everyone!

Hope it is okay that I'm joining too - got a BFP this morning at 13DPO and got a confirmation appointment tomorrow with my midwife. First time being pregnant, extremely nervous and cautiously hopeful. Due date seems to be around July 16th.

So very hopeful, it's scary!

pontipinemum · 08/11/2023 21:42

@Samszie I've the same est due date :) It's DS's birthday so it'd be funny if they have the same birthday. Although I sort of hope they don't.

Where I am I still need to book in through the GP, (Ireland) I must get an appointment booked

Cattattack · 08/11/2023 22:03

i am curious, when I spoke to my GP yesterday, they said I need to self-refer and the form said I have to wait until I’m 6 weeks. Then a first scan would be booked between 10-12 weeks - can you ask for a sooner appointment?

for peace of mind I did book in a private scan at 6 weeks 5 days - I am not sure I can wait as long as the NHS wants me to!

Samszie · 08/11/2023 22:03

@pontipinemum that would be quite a coincidence! I was actually supposed to be born on the same day as my dad (ended up being a day earlier) and my husband's birthday is also in July. We will see how it goes!

I'm in the US (although I'm Portuguese), so I was able to book it directly. Trying not to stress too much and to "take it easy", but it's so hard not to get excited.

Congratulations on your BFP!

pontipinemum · 08/11/2023 23:05

@Cattattack all my friends/ family I know in the UK have had to self refer. It's going that way in Ireland. Oh no I couldn't wait until the first official 12 week scan either I've also got one booked for 6+3.

I am in Ireland but this part I think is similar enough, no unless they think there is a reason to they won't scan you sooner. But then that comes down to the 'post code lottery' because of previous MCs my EPU were happy to scan me. But you can def call them and say that you are worried and would like to come in early.

@Samszie it would, although embarrassingly if anyone ever asks what's 9 months before the birthdays it's our wedding anniversary!! Although since I've learnt all about TTC I know that doesn't exactly add up!

Cattattack · 08/11/2023 23:17

Thank you for the reply! That’s good to know - yes I will ask them if they can see me any sooner. 6 weeks may help put my mind at ease but we shall see.

made me laugh about the 9 months prior message 🤣 if we were to be asked the same question…well…it was our wedding night! Our only month of complete disorder with family staying and wedding planning and deciding to not actively try…there you go!

pontipinemum · 08/11/2023 23:54

Oh no I've just wiped blood. It's brown but is this too late for implantation bleeding? AF was due 2 days ago.

😪 I guess I'll just have to see what morning brings. I've a friend coming round but not close enough to be telling her this.
