Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

Morning ladies.

I am 7 weeks today, tomorrow is the calendar day I had a miscarriage last time so I'm bracing.

Last night I had a week and wiped and there was brown blood. Thought nooooo here we go again 😢. I had no cramps or pain and it was only while I wiped.

Nothing this morning! And I've woken up and my boobs are killing. More than they have done. My left boob in particular is out for vengeance 😅.

I called the EPU and they said some bleeding in first trimester can be normal. Anyone with that experience??

Savvy21 · 03/12/2023 08:27

@EmmzRB I had bleeding for 3 days last weekend then had a scan the next day due to previous losses. Sonographer said everything seemed fine, bean was measuring correctly with heartbeat and she couldn't find a reason for it. Really odd but yes it also made me very anxious!

EmmzRB · 03/12/2023 08:47

@Savvy21 thank you so much for sharing that. Fingers crossed all is okay. Was it a private scan or did the EPU scan you?

So sorry you had all the anxiety too, you just want it to be easy breezy after a loss don't you.

Laylamoxx · 02/12/2023 21:14

Hey guys, I had my private scan last week when I was 8 weeks 2 days. I recently showed my mum my scan picture and she noticed a black spot on the baby’s head? I didn’t really notice it before but now worried as I’ve never seen this before in scan pics. Has anyone come across this before? Does anyone know what it could be

Same was shown on my scan and the sonographer told me before I even noticed it that its completely normal and what she expects to see on a scan at this stage. I was 8 weeks and 3 days at the time too. Definitely nothing to worry about

CB2805 · 03/12/2023 09:33

@Savvy21 ive been experiencing some bleeds a week now. 2 red bleeds that faint of to brown spotting. I got so stressed after every new bleed and I’ve been having early scans all the time. Apparently I have a hematoma in one of the sacs(I’m carrying twins) which is causing all the bleeds. I’m super early still 7+2 but my OB doesn’t seem really bothered as we have 2 strong heartbeats and babies are measuring on track!
i understand how scary can be to see blood, I’m on constant anxiety mode!!

User491 · 03/12/2023 09:46

@CB2805 another twin, twin ❤️ I get so lost on here, but I think you also went through ivf?
Sorry to hear about the bleed, but so reassuring to know that it's all cleared by your doctors. How are you feeling otherwise?

Hope everyone else is ok, I try to catch up but there's a lot of us and it moves quickly ☺️

MrsHousePlant · 03/12/2023 11:11

Hey @ceruleansky so pleased to see you here!

I’ve got my booking appointment tomorrow which I’m excited for and I’m hoping to hear about a scan date 🤞🏻 my symptoms are still all over the place and not always the same but I’m enjoying a few days where I don’t feel terrible this weekend!

CB2805 · 03/12/2023 11:27

@User491 you having twins as well?❤️ I’m getting a bit lost in the group chat as well can’t keep up🤭
OB is quite optimistic and I’m just praying for the spotting to stop and have a clear scan soon🤞🤞

feeling good, have a slight cold which thankfully at least subsided my nausea for a week now! Only massive symptom so far would be tiredness and sore boobs!
how about you?

hope everyone else is doing okey🫶🏻

User491 · 03/12/2023 11:33

@CB2805 yes we had an early scan on Thursday and both embryos have stuck. Was 6+1 and could see one heart beat and a flicker on the other but she said it was very early. Back this coming Thursday so 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Did you have 2 embryos put back? I'm sorry I can't remember 🙈

I also have a terrible cold, with sore throat, so feeling awful with that. But turned a corner since yesterday. My main symptoms are boobs and tiredness too!
Really hoping both our Twinnies are ok ❤️
Spotting is such a worry, but if they aren't too concerned that has to be positive ☺️

MummyBear2519 · 03/12/2023 11:49

@User491 @CB2805 hello fellow twin mum although I think I’m the only 1 with identical twins?
Now the shock has sunk in I’ve become petrified for this pregnancy. I know I’ve seen two happy babies both measuring exactly the same and great heart beats but can’t shake my fears. I’m also avoiding Google as I know that will not help my anxiety.
Yesterday I could barely get out of bed I was so tired but apart from that and very sore boobs I just need to eat constantly

CB2805 · 03/12/2023 13:21

@User491 yes fet with 2 embryos and both stuck with me❤️we’re exactly the same I think just a few days apart? Yes I really hope our twins stay and thrive with us🤞❤️
im going for next scan tomorrow as dr wants to lower medication at this point as well, so I’m so so scared lol
had a scan on Thursday as well 6+6 twins were measuring above 7weeks which is good but one of them was 2 days behind but both with strong heartbeat! I really hope the twin catch up🤞

@MummyBear2519 hello twin mum❤️ wow what are the odds of 3 twin pregnancies in the same group🤭
identical twins!! Congrats! Must be so exciting! And yes I’m having 2 sacs so no identical!
also I completely understand your anxiety! At first I was so scared of complications and then complications not long after show up then I was scared for the bleeds, is a no end of anxiety at this point!
also Dr Google should be band on pregnancy!!!!

we should make our own group to find more twin mum hi hi🤭

ceruleansky · 03/12/2023 13:29

@MrsHousePlant
Hello! So happy to see you're doing well!

They need an appointment to give you a scan date? What do they do in this appt?

Oatmilktea · 03/12/2023 13:47

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! I’ve felt so exhausted and have enjoyed having no plans. I’m going on a work trip tomorrow and have stocked up on the snacks for the 4 hour car journey 🤢

MummyBear2519 · 03/12/2023 14:31

@CB2805 my next scan isn’t until the 3rd jan when I will be 13 +2. Do you think if I call and ask to move it forward a few days they will?
Mainly to help with my anxiety and also my birthday is NYE so would like to confirm everyone is ok so we can tell family finally

Oneeightoneoh · 03/12/2023 14:59

I've woken up today and I just don't "feel" pregnant anymore, I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and prior to today I've been quite nauseous. I don't know if it's because I've woken up with a terrible cold or something else, can't help but feel worried though. Is this normal?

Savvy21 · 03/12/2023 15:20

@EmmzRB EPU scanned me but it was because of previous ectopic and I was scanned a bit early the first time for them to reassure me that it was viable so they scanned me again 2 weeks later.
Have you got a scan booked in?

CB2805 · 03/12/2023 15:30

@MummyBear2519 oh that’s a really long wait!! I would say give it a shot, as far as I know with twin pregnancies they usually suggest more often scans anyway?!
im not sure tho I still haven’t been in touch with GP or midwife as my clinic is in charge for the first 12weeks in my case so I feel quite lucky tbh.
although if they don’t change your scan have a look for a private one in your area? I bet is worth it especially if anxious I wouldn’t hesitate!

have you thought about getting a Doppler as well? I honestly can’t wait to get to 9/10weeks and get one🫶🏻

MrsHousePlant · 03/12/2023 15:35

@ceruleansky I think it all depends on what your NHS trust do, some people have had letters for scans already along with booking appointments. I just had a call for my booking but nothing mentioned about a scan yet so I’m hoping I can ask that tomorrow and find out.

I think they do height, weight, take blood and ask questions about your medical history. I’ll let you know if there’s anything else! This is my first so I’m quite clueless and just winging it 😂

EmmzRB · 03/12/2023 15:47

@Savvy21 ahhh okay that makes sense. I've only got my 12 week scan booked in. I wasn't going to do a reassurance scan. I've not had any spotting today and feel okay so will leave it a few days and if it happens again get in touch with the EPU.

I don't feel how I did last time when I miscarried. Just shock isn't it when you bleed or see discharge.

JJM13 · 03/12/2023 17:59

I’m really sorry to read your news 😢

Julymumtobe · 03/12/2023 22:27

Hi all hope I can join this thread. I’m 9 weeks tomorrow and this is my first pregnancy. I feel horrendous and am really struggling with sickness and nausea. I’ve been sick every day for 2 weeks usually multiple times. Struggling to keep any food down today and also cannot drink anything. The thought of water/ squash/ fizzy drinks makes me feel even worse but worried I’m getting dehydrated. Any advice please? I work from home but am also very stressed about trying to work like this. Last week was hard enough but I am getting worse every day. Also have to move house in 2 weeks so getting worried about that.

Lisao86 · 04/12/2023 06:52

Welcome! What you’ve written about the thought of squash/fizzy drinks resonates with me. I usually drink 2-3 litres easily, but most drinks are just so unappealing and the thought makes me feel 😑 The only drink I’m managing to drink ok is cloudy apple juice, but trying to limit it to one glass a day!!
Sorry I don’t have any advice, but I hear you!

bringmearainbow · 04/12/2023 06:59

@Julymumtobe I would def speak to your gp and see if you can get some medication for the sickness I think they have quite a few options to take. Do work know you are pregnant yet? Pregnancy sick leave isn't counted like normal sick leave

@Oneeightoneoh it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go. I'm 9+1 and whilst I have had symptoms everyday there have been varying degrees of how bad they've been. Also I do think it depends on what I've had going on days I'm busy and distracted with other things I know the nausea is there but it def seems less bad

@Julymumtobe hello! I have this, im currently 8w and had it in my previous pregnancy 6-17w. When I contacted my doctors, they suggested try drinking water with a straw and eating little and often so that you are keeping something down. So I’d literally eat 1/4 of a biscuit, then wait half hour, then go again. Sounds excessive but it worked and luckily the bad bad part didn’t last too long in the end. I also found cold bottled water went down better than tap water, I currently have a 24 pack sitting outside 😂😂. And following food with an ice lolly seemed to take away the sick feeling. Hope you find a way round! Or like a pp has said, go down the medication route perhaps? Xx

Elisemp93 · 04/12/2023 07:34

They said water with a straw because you can’t take the same volume in one go and so feel less sick. I look a bit of a wally but find it works!
