Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

I’m so tired today. Had a nap this morning and feel like I could just crawl back into bed again now. No sickness still, I just feel a bit off, like I don’t really want anything to eat but make myself to try and get a bit more energy!

ExpectantEs · 22/11/2023 15:52

@trebuvie I don't have any symptoms still! 7w + 2d, but realised today that my main symptom is probably feeling more emotional than usual! I wouldn't worry about it xx

I told my sister today I'm pregnant and she reminded me that during both of her pregnancies she had no symptoms the whole 9 months, except food cravings. This helped me feel better. Whereas my other sister had HG!

I took another strip test today to make sure it's still there & my hcg is a very very strong line! 2 more days until my viability scan!!

@Oatmilktea A few TikTok's make me cry too! I cry at puppies/babies a lot lol

Jess725 · 22/11/2023 16:00

@Macccc @soscarlet
I’ve only ever had internal scans too but yesterday I had a 7week scan at epu and it was a normal ultrasound. They told me to come with full bladder I was so confused thinking they wouldn’t see anything!! Perhaps give them a call 😊
although, you would think they would have told you if you needed a full bladder 😅

Singleorigincoffee · 22/11/2023 17:22

6weeks with nausea and fatigue

I napped at work in the breastfeeding/medical room today...I had a quiet day and took the opportunity given toddler also at home

Forest1234 · 22/11/2023 21:22

Anyone feel like they have a bump already!? 😳 like I know it’s not baby but honestly I’m living in leggings already and only 8 weeks 🥴 Didn’t start showing until gone 20 weeks last time. Really wanting to hold out as long as possible before telling work but I reckon I will have a ‘proper’ bump coming back after Christmas as this rate!

ive read in second pregnancy you show a lot quicker!

MummyBear2519 · 22/11/2023 21:53

@Forest1234 this my 3rd pregnancy, my last was over 9lb so I got pretty big!
I definitely feel like I’m showing already. Even when I lay down it’s still there. Think my body thinks ‘oh a baby is in here’ and just jumped several steps of the bump growing

Oneeightoneoh · 22/11/2023 23:02

Hi Guys! I had a scan today, I thought I was 7 weeks but measured 7+2. It was so reassuring to see a little heartbeat!
Hope everyone else is doing well!

MixedCouple · 23/11/2023 04:43

@Outliers snap. My DS was tricky as a newborn had silent reflux as well as colic. And refused a dummy. Started to have a bit of a normal life around 5 months once he got on solids. Now he is super easy and chill wnd has been potty trained already. So as you said I am mentally prepared for a rough 4-5 months of very little sleep and no routine and very few showers 😂

I am 5W 3D today just mild nausea, Heart Burn and Fatigue Central with sore boons.

MixedCouple · 23/11/2023 04:47

@MummyBear2519 my friend whonis 5,1 52kg had all 4 babies wround 9lbs-10.5lbs all home births but very hard labours lasting a long time as she was so small. It is amazing how deapite our size we can birth pretty big babies.
My Mums BFF had her daughter at 12lbs and she was smaller and petite - Vaginal delivery.

@Oneeightoneoh aw glad you had your scan and saw the little bean. Your 7W and it feels so far ahead of me but literally only 2 weeks!!

Still not had my booking apt. I will try call up today and chase them.

Forest1234 · 23/11/2023 07:44

@Outliers I feel you, my 2 year old is a horrendous sleeper. Brilliant pregnancy and birth, easy day baby…but night times have been something else 🧟‍♀️ don’t think we’ve ever not been in a ‘regression’. I guess the only positive is I’m not even noticing the pregnancy fatigue, at this point I know nothing but tiredness Still making it to the gym too, I agree it helps even if motivation to get there is harddddd.

ExpectantEs · 23/11/2023 09:38

@Forest1234 I glad you can relate - I've been to the gym twice this week and motivation was so hard! I even got to the front door and wanted to turn back and crawl into bed. But you do feel so much better once the workout is complete

bringmearainbow · 23/11/2023 10:19

@Forest1234 I def have a lovely bloated bump 🙈 I'm going to tell work once I've come back from Christmas break in the new year.

@Oneeightoneoh ahhh that's fabulous news always nice when your a tad ahead 🥳

I've had my booking appointment this morning need to see the consultant at 12 weeks once I've had my dating scan. Got another scan at EPU next week when I'll be 8+5

I keep seeing TikToks of people saying November is the worst month to fall pregnant for a variet of reasons 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I know it’ll be pretty hot and uncomfortable in the height of summer but other than that I can’t really think of any negatives. I’m so happy to be pregnant regardless of the time of year but these TikTok’s are annoying me!

does anyone have any positives about falling pregnant in November to counteract the negativity?

ChaTom · 23/11/2023 13:49

Not November specifically but my youngest child was born June 20th (conceived in the October). It was really lovely having a baby in the summer and it was nice not to be pregnant for the entire summer. On the other hand my sister had her children in September and November so she was pregnant through two summers. I remember her really struggling with the heat in the August before her first son was born.

The only negative I can think of right now is that my 12 week scan is due a few days before Christmas. I’m really hoping I get a scan date before the 25th as it would be nice to know everything is ok so I can just enjoy Christmas with my children.

missmoosh · 23/11/2023 13:50

@Oatmilktea they will be more likely to have nicer weather for their birthdays!!! Friends will be on summer holiday so more likely to be available to celebrate with them as well no matter what day it falls on!

trebuvie · 23/11/2023 13:54

@Oatmilktea I keep having this conversation with my OH... He's very gloomy that our child will be the youngest in the year and never amount to anything academically apparently 😂

On the other hand... Our babies will be ~6mo old for their first Christmases which is a very cute age for dressing them up in Santa hats etc! And less worry about being newborn and passed around relatives etc (which my cousin who just had her baby is currently freaking out about)

Livingthechaoticdream · 23/11/2023 14:11

Hello I hope you don’t mind if I join the thread, I was on a MN thread with my last pregnancy and it really helped! I only took a test this morning and it’s not quite sunk in yet as while baby will be very wanted we weren’t quite planning on this happening just yet 😂as we have a 7 month old and I am still on mat leave with him! anyone else have babies close together in age? It will be lovely for them to grow together ❤️

bringmearainbow · 23/11/2023 14:14

@trebuvie if he's really worried about being the youngest in the year I believe if you have a child that's born after April or maybe May I can't remember which now you can defer them to start the year after

Oatmilktea · 23/11/2023 14:48

Lots of positivity, especially nice weather for their birthdays!

I’m in Scotland and the school year works differently. I believe the cut off is Feb/March (I could be wrong) so at least that doesn’t affect me!

trebuvie · 23/11/2023 15:07

I have to admit I hadn't quite jumped ahead to school years until he mentioned it, considering I've barely started to believe I'm actually pregnant! I went to school in the southern hemisphere where the school year was Jan-Dec so didn't even occur to me.

We're staying with in-laws over Christmas which I fear is going to coincide with having an embarrassing amount of nausea...

MoonstoneAndRoseQuartz · 23/11/2023 15:17

Are all your ladies having symtoms yet

justanotherlaura · 23/11/2023 15:19

I had my first at the end of October and we were just going into winter flu season, I was so worried about him getting ill from all our visitors, shouldn't be as much of a worry in July!

I'm also looking forward to being able to have BBQ for their birthday, another thing we can't do for our sons birthday!

missmoosh · 23/11/2023 15:35

@MoonstoneAndRoseQuartz I started to get a lot of trapped wind, followed by an embarrassing amount of burping yesterday. Which has continued today anytime I eat. (had to get my husband to burp me like a baby this morning!!!!) other than that nothing lol

MoonstoneAndRoseQuartz · 23/11/2023 15:39

@missmoosh how far on are you
I'm 6 weeks and have nothing either.
I had lots of trapped gas week 4-5 then nothing. I keep worrying due to my lack of symptoms
