Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

@Blackberry95 thinking of you and sending lots off support your way 💕

trebuvie · 21/11/2023 08:30

Hello all, just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant (wow it feels so strange to type that). Due ~23rd July according to the premom app, 5w.

First time being pregnant and we hadn't even "officially" started trying, were planning to start in the new year but were just a bit careless this month and then I missed my period 😳- I feel like I put in all this effort into learning how to TTC and didn't prepare at all for what to do next!! Lots of reading coming up for the next few days!

Cekwells · 21/11/2023 08:59

Just over 6 weeks and I'm really struggling with motion sickness...even a short journey makes me feel 🤢. I don't have any food aversions yet thankfully! Anyone else experiencing this?

Cekwells · 21/11/2023 09:00

Congratulations 🎉

hopingfor23 · 21/11/2023 13:38

Just had my appointments through...15th dec for my booking in app and 10th January for our 12 week scan!! All feels so real now 🥹 will be bang on 12 weeks according to my app so hope the dates are right!

How's everyone feeling? X

bringmearainbow · 21/11/2023 13:40

@hopingfor23 ahhh exciting. I have my booking appointment Thursday morning going to be an early start it's at 8am 😂 I feel so sick and thirsty nothing helps either thing get better 🙈

hopingfor23 · 21/11/2023 13:48

@bringmearainbow the sickness is awful isn't it. I'm shocked I'm suffering so much so early but all good signs. I have been moaning how bad it is and today I feel a bit better so start getting paranoid then 🤦‍♀️ literally can't win! 😂😂😂

How far along will you be for your booking app? With my son they still did your first app all over the phone so nice to actually go in! We also have a private scan booked on the same day so it's a proper baby day for us 😀

Jennandbump · 21/11/2023 13:49

Hi so I tested positive requested a midwife appointment, by completing an online form. My appointment is on 12th December so I'll be 8 weeks. Any idea if this is normal or should I see if I can get one sooner? I'm new to this 😂

Normal! Booking in app is between 8-10 weeks so yours is nice and prompt 😀 congratulations 😀

bringmearainbow · 21/11/2023 13:55

@hopingfor23 ahhh that's lovely a proper baby day ❤️ I'll be 7+4 as I had a scan at the EPU last week but I have long cycles so according to lmp I would be about 8.5 weeks. My first was in lockdown and still had to go in. funny how they all do it differently. I'm really happy to be feeling so bad as last 4 I lost I def didn't feel this bad so it's def all good signs but my goodness it's so hard to act normal 😂

@Jennandbump congrats! 8 weeks is normal they usually see you between 8-10 weeks

missmoosh · 21/11/2023 14:06

Question ladies! When working out how far along you are, do you take the date of the start of your LMP as day 1 or day 0?
My LMP was 22/10, but calculators online all give me different times, some say 4+2 others 4+3? It's not a massive difference so more curious than anything else lol

justanotherlaura · 21/11/2023 14:14

I think lmp is day 0. my lmp was a Friday so the following Friday I was 1 week and the next Friday I was 2 weeks. Today I am 6+4 as it's 4 days since Friday

Hope that helps although I've maybe not explained it well

missmoosh · 21/11/2023 14:17

No that makes perfect sense! My Flo app is saying LMP is day 1, so I might change it to so it's correct lol

justanotherlaura · 21/11/2023 14:18

As 22/10 was a Sunday I'd say you are 4+2 :)

FigandHoney · 21/11/2023 14:48

Quick question. I am 5w1d. I self-referred through Bader notes at 3w4days. When should I expect to hear from tge midwifes and be booked in for my 8 week appointment? I haven't heard anything yet and not sure if I should chase them. I am worried they won't book me in on time for 8 weeks and then my 12 week scan might be delayed as well.

bringmearainbow · 21/11/2023 14:51

@FigandHoney I got my letter through at about 5.5 weeks but in previous pregnancies I didn't get a letter once until 9.5 weeks. I think it just depends how busy they are at the time

OP posts:
FigandHoney · 21/11/2023 15:03

Thank you @bringmearainbow . When you didn't get your letter until 9.5 weeks when did you end up having your booking appointment and when did you have your scan?

missmoosh · 21/11/2023 15:05

@justanotherlaura thanks, I have changed my Flo app. And booked an early pregnancy scan for a few weeks time! Praying for a sticky bean!

bringmearainbow · 21/11/2023 15:16

@FigandHoney my booking appointment was when I was around 10+6 it really was not much notice at all. I can't remember when my 12 week scan was booked in for I didn't go to the appointments as around the time I got the letters I had a scan and the pregnancy was a blighted ovum. I remember calling a couple of times to chase it up as my previous 2 pregnancies the letters came really quickly they just kept telling me I was on the list and I would get my appointment soon 🤷🏼‍♀️

Afternoon all. Omg Heart Burn! Been suffering on and off the last 5 days!!! And painful Boobs have started. I am 5W 1Day. Been given 5mg of Folic to take but no word on booking apt.
I thought they would call by now.

My uterus is still crampy and like a full ache.
And toddler is super clingy and wants cuddles and to be held at all times. He knows 😂

How is eveeyone? Anyone had a booking apt yey?

missmoosh · 21/11/2023 15:46

@MixedCouple I am hoping to have mine later this week, abnormally early (I have health conditions that will need close monitoring, so need referrals done ASAP). But I think for most they are around 8 weeks?
Edit: Call with the midwives to book the booking appointment this week that is.

MummyBear2519 · 21/11/2023 16:24

I feel like a broken record to my dp saying I feel sick etc but he is being so supportive. My 2 children have no clue so putting on a face when I feel rubbish is tough at times especially with my youngest birthday the other day. My dp kept telling me I dont need to do all the usual over the top balloons etc but I know this is his last birthday as my little baby.
We have a private scan next Thursday when I’m 8 weeks. Then first midwife appointment the day after. So excited

trebuvie · 21/11/2023 16:46

I'm still caught between "is this real" and then reading about all these scans you're meant to do, like, immediately? But I'm still not even convinced it's not a chemical... It feels ridiculous to talk to my GP this early but should I?? 5w today (don't get me started on how strange it is to date it from last period...)

justanotherlaura · 21/11/2023 19:11

@trebuvie I registered at 5 weeks so I'd go ahead now. Find out how your trust does things, my old one we had to self refer but this time I had to make an 8 week appt with my gp's receptionist. If you can't find anything online call your gp surgery and they can tell you what to do
