Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

@Oatmilktea congratulations!! I told my mum quite soon after finding out, I knew I couldn’t keep it from her and I felt like she was just going to know 😂 it’s been really helpful chatting to her about her experiences and for advice.

FloralFantastic · 16/11/2023 10:54

Hey! Tentatively joining as I'm not totally sure if my due date would be late July or very early August, but have had positive tests this week! I have a 2.5 year old but it still feels so long ago, and that was during Covid where hiding a pregnancy was easy as I didn't see anyone - know idea how I'll manage that this time, and a couple of days in I'm already struggling with cutting down caffeine!

bringmearainbow · 16/11/2023 10:55

@Oatmilktea my mum and bestie already know. There's nothing wrong with telling who you want early it's nice to have support.

@Forest1234 this is me too I'm hungry and have to eat or it makes the nausea worse but equally I have no clue what it is I want to eat 🙄 though if I could eat hash browns and fried eggs for breakfast lunch and dinner I think I'd be happy 😂

@Oatmilktea we told our parents and siblings kast weekend at 3weeks4 days. My parents are visiting and my mum must have already had a 6th sense for it, as she kept hinting. Couldn't have kept it from her.
We also told our parents very early on with my son. In my mind I would tell them anyway if something bad happens. So I might as well tell them while everything is still OK.

FigandHoney · 16/11/2023 11:06

4 Weeks and 3 days today and got a dye stealer on a FRER today, which made me happy. 10 days earlier than I had it with my son.

I was looking forward to some quiet weeks at work before Christmas, perfect timing for any potential morning sickness.
But was told yesterday that I am switching teams to replace a team leader that is leaving. They didn't directly offer me the team leader role though and it sounds like I will need to prove myself.
Also sounds like they are super busy.
Previously I wasn't worried about eventually telling work I am pregnant. But now I am.
Last time I got pregnant after a year and a half trying was the month I started my job at this company.
The timing is always awful.

Oatmilktea · 16/11/2023 10:10

May I ask when you told or will be telling immediate family? I dont want to tell people too soon but I’m not sure how long I can last before telling my mum!

it's a really good question! I'm 5w 4d, my best friend, another friend that's just become a mum (And very close by) and another friend I regularly walk with that we chat about pregnancy and babies a lot knows...plus my pilates instructor haha...

I was holding off telling parents until after our first scan, which is scheduled for end of 7 weeks (we opted for private) just so I get my own reassurance before telling them!

Yummum19 · 16/11/2023 12:07

Hi everyone! I got my positive test last week, going by LMP I'm due 7th of July. I have a 4 & 3 year old already so this will be our third. DH is very excited but I just can't share that excitement with him just yet as the all day nausea is kicking my butt! I'm so miserable, but then equally feeling super guilty because I know how lucky I am to be pregnant.

I self referred on Friday via the badger app and have already got my appointment through for the 27th of Nov. I think it will all start to sink in properly after that. We're hoping to tell the kids on Christmas Day - if DH can keep it quiet for that long!

Cookiemonster19 · 16/11/2023 14:15

@bringmearainbow Thankyou for your reply 🥰
spoke to soon as nausea has been kicking my butt all day 🤮😩
any tips? It feels like I’ve got something wedged in my throat 😵‍💫😵‍💫

ExpectantEs · 16/11/2023 14:16

Hi All,

Hope it's okay to join!
I'm a First time mum, 6 weeks 3 days along.

Excited but nervous. Only thing is, I have NO symptoms at all! Other than a missed period, sore nipples and bloating. I also have no appetite?? I'm trying to be optimistic and be grateful for no symptoms yet but it's hard to believe it's real.

Someone posted a few posts ago that they're in the same boat but I'm not even tired/sleepy. I took another clearblue test this morning and now it says 3+, whereas last week it said 2-3weeks, so I guess I'm still pregnant. I already love the baby :)

Either way, excited to be on the journey with you all xx

bringmearainbow · 16/11/2023 14:31

@Cookiemonster19 😂 always the way 🙈 that sounds a bit like my early heartburn I had in a different pregnancy try taking some gaviscon really helped me

bringmearainbow · 16/11/2023 14:33

@ExpectantEs honestly my nausea symptoms have only just started to kick in the last couple of days I'm 6+4 take the lack of them as a win 😂

ExpectantEs · 16/11/2023 14:46

@bringmearainbow haha okay I'll take it as a win!! Thank you

MixedCouple · 16/11/2023 14:47

@MrsHousePlant so sorry how far along are you again?
Thank you, yes I took more tests today and it is much much darker. Despite having a 2year old it all feels new 😂
100% enjoy all the first experincea. I look back fondly at my fieat pregnancy. Now i can't rest when I want or be a couch potato 😂
Some do have sinilar symtpoms each pregnancy but very normal to have different symptoms and experinces.

@Sunray33 congrats! They looked like good lines. Sticky bean! I also had a chemical in Sept. My lines were faint and only 3 days and then stopped then AF showed up worse then ever. Happy healthy 9 months.

Lots of Nov BFPs! How exciting.

Sunray33 · 16/11/2023 15:06

Thanks @MixedCouple. Sorry to hear that - here's to a better outcome this time around for you too. I only tested on the day period was due and then 2 days after in September - didn't even think of testing after this. Was only when I started bleeding a week later that GP suggested testing again. So I'm definitely a little more wary at the mo.

Congratulations to everyone in this thread - wishing you all the best for the months ahead.

CB2805 · 16/11/2023 15:40

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind me joining in:)
4weeks 6days based on IVF calculator! First ever BFP for us. Still early days but we hope everything turns out well🤞

Due mid July!
So great to have a group and discuss with people that are in the same boat, as anxiety already on a full swing here🤭

Oatmilktea · 16/11/2023 15:54

I decided to self refer to the midwife today and I’m glad I didn’t delay. The first available midwife appointment is 9th of January and my 12 week scan is booked for 11th of January.

I think I will get a private scan at around 8-9 weeks just for reassurance.

I have only recently started bootcamp sessions and I’ve been really enjoying them. I spoke to the trainer and he said it’s safe to continue in pregnancy so long as I listen to my body and don’t go 10/10 effort the whole time

Macccc · 16/11/2023 16:47

Hey everyone, congratulations on your BFP🫶 so nice to see so many July babies!

I got my positive yesterday at 9/10 dpo, so still super early! Think I’ll be due 28-30th July, different calculators are saying different dates!

I have a little girl who’ll be 2 in February! Like many on here this is hopefully our rainbow baby as had a MMC of twins at 9 weeks in September!

Really not able to feel excited yet as i’m so worried about another loss. I’ve had some right sided pelvic pain since yesterday, coming and going. It’s not really painful I’m just aware of an achey pain now and again. Wasn’t sure whether to get in touch with EPU or not, I’m going to get reassurance scans this pregnancy due to recurrent miscarriages but was waiting until start of next week to phone (once I’ve actually missed my period). I doubt they’d be able to diagnose ectopic this early on anyway? Not really had any pains since lunchtime so hopefully won’t get any more!

MinnieLou · 16/11/2023 17:33

Any tips to combat nausea? Not physically being sick but constantly feeling it & tired which doesn't help!
Don't like anything ginger! 🫣
Currently 6+4 - awaiting follow up scan at EPU on Tuesday which is probably making me secretly anxious..
Hope everyone is well x

MinnieLou · 16/11/2023 17:37

@Oatmilktea I suppose everyone is different regarding when telling people.
Last time I told my parents/his parents when I was 8 weeks but I had a reassurance scan as I had a miscarriage two months before (they didn't know about that until later)

This time I've had two miscarriages this year that they don't know about, all going well I'll be 12 weeks on Christmas Eve (my daughters 4th birthday!) and we'll be spending it with family so I think I'll be telling them then - using my daughter 🤣 x

threeinthree · 16/11/2023 18:03

made a Facebook group, feel free to join and send link to anyone else expecting in July!

soscarlet · 16/11/2023 18:35

Hi everyone, congrats on all the BFPs. I had a FET on 3rd Nov and positive bloods this week. I was emotionally prepared for a chemical pregnancy as lines on pee sticks were faint, but the clinic says my HCG is looking great 🥰 I’ve got a scan booked for 5th Dec.

This will be baby number 2, due around 20/21 July I think. Baby number 1 will have just turned 3 at that point.

I've had a bit of super early nausea, and I am so so tired all the time 😴 hard to tell if that’s a real pregnancy symptom at this stage or if it’s the come down after IVF stress!

Beth191 · 16/11/2023 18:57

@MinnieLou bread sticks work for me! I buy the packs of mini ones from asda and chomp through a pack across the morning 😊

ELJ1502 · 16/11/2023 19:01

I want to tell my mam but holding off a little longer. I’m still quite anxious about loss so don’t want to jinx it. I’ll be telling her using my DD. I’ve already designed a T-shirt as it’s just something I can print myself. :)

However, we won’t be telling my DD until after the 12 week scan, otherwise the world will know.

Hope everyone is okay. :)

Due July 24
Forest1234 · 16/11/2023 20:36

@Oatmilktea Hoping to do an early scan here to share with parents ahead of Christmas 😊

MrsHousePlant · 16/11/2023 20:53

@MixedCouple Ahh thank you, I’ll try and enjoy as much as I can! I’m 6 weeks tomorrow 😊

Interesting how differently areas book in for appointments and scans. I’ve been given my first appointment but no news at all about a scan, I keep hoping I’ll get a letter but I don’t know if it’ll get booked it at my midwife appointment or some other way!
