Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

@threeinthree the link doesn't take me anywhere, just to my fb homepage. Is that the same for others?

threeinthree · 16/11/2023 21:03

@Griffles it may have expired.

Here's a new one

Griffles · 16/11/2023 21:08

@threeinthree thank you! That second link didn't work on my phone but it did on my laptop (in case anyone else has the same issue!)

MixedCouple · 16/11/2023 21:24

@Oatmilktea no way! Do you live in a city? I am in North Wales in a tiny barely town births local are around 100 a year. So seeing a midwife soon is fine.
I havent contacted them yet.... Thought it was too early. Should I ? I was thinking at 5 weeks so maybe Tues/weds.

My LO just turned 2 and I think we conceived the day before or day of his birthday 😂 it will be a nice age gap.

I told my Mum right away and I planned to do that but they are holidaying it up at the moment. Not keen to tell Inlaws as they weren't too thrilled last time. We did a whole surprise and they gave barely any reaction. So told OH he can tell them by himself 😂

I will be 12 weeks 2nd week in Jan but over Xmas all the family will be together so was thinking to surprise them by letting my LO wear a top saying "Big Bro" and see who notices and record their reactions 😂.

@MrsHousePlant awww 6 weeks well another 6 and you'll have your scan. The midwife should mention at booking apt and arrange for it and the apt letter should be posted. I assume. As that is what happened last time. I was worried as I was seen over 8 weeks for booking apt and had bloods at 10weeks and i didn't get my letter until 4days before the scan!!!!!

Welcome all the newcomers. Happy and healthy 9 months.

Vittoriosa · 16/11/2023 22:05

Anyone in Scotland have any advice on scans? I have not been given my booking appt til 21 Dec…I will be nearly 11 weeks! No word on my scan…concerned this is also going to be later than the 12 weeks due to Xmas etc. Bit frustrated! Seems so long away and want to wait til after 12 wk scan to tell my work

Oatmilktea · 16/11/2023 22:17

@Vittoriosa I’m in Scotland and when I called the self referral number they booked my booking appointment and my first scan. I’d definitely suggest getting back in touch to confirm when your scan will be

ELJ1502 · 16/11/2023 22:21

I self referred, then had an invitation to the badger app. I can’t access any of it though as I need a password from the midwifery team.

I'm sure with my first, I didn’t get a scan letter until a couple of weeks before.

justanotherlaura · 16/11/2023 22:56

@Vittoriosa I'm in Scotland too, when I was in Edinburgh I had to self refer and was given my 8 week and 12 week scan dates on that phone call. I've moved now and here we have to refer through GP and apparently my midwife will book my 12 week scan at my 8 week appointment.

It's a pain because we were planning on going abroad over the Xmas holidays to see family and my scan should be about 29th so we've had to cancel because it could be any time throughout the time we were planning on being away

Vittoriosa · 17/11/2023 06:46

Thanks ladies, that’s helpful. Seems like a few different experiences! I will give them a call. I have a feeling mine might get booked on 21st, just really hope it doesn’t drag on to mid Jan!!

KM8 · 17/11/2023 07:21

I'm 5w+5 days and not really having any symptoms apart from spotting which isn't getting any worse or heavy. I don't have sore boobs, or any of the typical pregnancy symptoms and I'm worrying myself that something may be wrong! 😳

Blackberry95 · 17/11/2023 08:55

Seems like the way scans work is so variable in different areas! I have my booking appointment at 10 weeks but in my area you have to wait until the day after booking appointment to then ring and request a slot for the dating scan!!
I hope Christmas doesn’t mean it is super late!!!
I have booked a private one for 8weeks at window to womb though- they had a deal on meaning it was only £50 which I think is quite reasonable?

Forest1234 · 17/11/2023 10:46

@threeinthree Thanks, would love to join but both links now have expired. I tried to request yesterday via the first link so there may be a request from me?

Outliers · 17/11/2023 11:02

Hey all - joining this thread as testing positive now. Nice to see familiar usernames from the November conception threads.

Based on last period I am 4weeks today and due date could be around July 26.

This will be 2nd child, my DC is 18 months, so will be about 26months between them possibly.

MrsHousePlant · 17/11/2023 11:14

@KM8 I’ve only had a few symptoms and none which have been particularly persistent for more than a few days other than sore boobs which feel like that most days! I have been a bit worried like you but I’m trying to tell myself it’s early days and to enjoy in case they suddenly all hit soon!
Are you planning on an early scan? I keep toying with the idea as I feel like I need more proof than my many tests that I’m pregnant but another part of me wants me to just wait it out for my 12 weeks!

Friedseasalt · 17/11/2023 11:56

@threeinthree is it possible to re share an updated link?

Elisemp93 · 17/11/2023 13:56

Hi, that’s a very good price for window to the womb! I’m wanting to book one but it’s saying it’s £80!? Do you think it’s just a local offer? Did you get a promo code or anything? Xxx @Blackberry95

Beth191 · 17/11/2023 13:56

@Outliers hi! I'm 5+2 and my little boy is just over 17 months so we'll have almost the same age gap between our little ones 😊

Forest1234 · 17/11/2023 14:17

@Elisemp93 I did the same as you and went straight to look 😆 think it was £75 window to the womb in my area. No discounts that I could see

SarahBee87 · 17/11/2023 14:23

Hi all,

Got my dating scan through for the 29th Dec - going to try and get it moved to the 23rd so that I can share the news with parents at xmas but we'll see...it's probably a busy time.

Had my 6 week scan on Tuesday and it was so nice to see a heartbeat and to see that everything is where/as it should be at the moment.

Saying that my symptoms seem to have disappeared since Monday so slightly concerned about that. I'll prob book in a 9/10 week scan to check everything is progressing as it should be. Currently 6 weeks and 3/4 days.

ExpectantEs · 17/11/2023 15:13

@Elisemp93 Same here! My Window to the Womb 'discount' went from £90 to £70. But this was a deal they were doing themselves, not a discount code. Wish I knew there was discount codes available to use in addition to it though.
£70/90 each time will be costly!

Outliers · 17/11/2023 17:40

Beth191 · 17/11/2023 13:56

@Outliers hi! I'm 5+2 and my little boy is just over 17 months so we'll have almost the same age gap between our little ones 😊

Exciting times! My DD was a hard baby, though she's mellowed out a lot recently - so I'm mentally preparing for a tough couple of years, but hopefully it will be all worth it when they're on the same rhythm in a few years.

bringmearainbow · 17/11/2023 19:46

Gosh I'm struggling today toddlers been home sick and I'm drained would have had more rest at the office 😂

MummyBear2519 · 17/11/2023 20:16

I have never felt this rough in previous pregnancies. I go between feelings of exhaustion, nausea, starving, to feeling great. I can have all of them on a rollercoaster within an hour. I’ve found I’m waking at 4.30am starving sick but Mini cheddars are my new best friend and I’m keeping packs everywhere! I work in such a small office that it’s taking every bit of energy to pretend I’m fine. Big smiles to all the kids at school when all I want to do is lie down. Feeling a real weight in my lower abdomen too

Savvy21 · 17/11/2023 20:59

@MummyBear2519 Totally understand- I felt great earlier but this evening have felt really rough. I'm pretty sure our brains forget this bit on purpose.

Blackberry95 · 18/11/2023 06:02

@Elisemp93 @ExpectantEs i didn’t manually put a code in, I saw a Facebook add for it- mine is at Blackburn location. I did lose the Facebook add though and just googled “offer window to womb Blackburn” and managed to find the page directly on the website so maybe try that for your area ☺️
