Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

My anxiety levels are so high this pregnancy.

With my first, I was just so excited and ready to be a mam. My pregnancy and birth was fantastic with only a tiny issue after she was born with my placenta.

This time I’m utterly petrified of the pregnancy going wrong and miscarrying or it turning out to be a chemical.

I’m still testing daily to check if the line is getting darker and then it’s all I think about all day. I had a little bleed yesterday whilst going to the toilet and it completely set me on edge all day.

Is anyone else feeling the same? Or does anyone have any tips to help?

hopingfor23 · 12/11/2023 09:34

Hi all - big congrats to all ❤️ can I join?

Got a surprise positive digital yesterday to rule out pregnancy!!! Absolutely over the moon - have a 10 month old baby boy and we had a lot of heartache to get him so was expecting a bit of a fight again. Only got my period back 2 months ago as I'm breast feeding and I can't quite believe it's happened so easily 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Still very early but staying positive. Will be due around 22nd July I think! I am still in touch with ladies from my LO's due date as I found it such a helpful supportive place so thought I'd hop on here too :-)

Paranoia is already real I'm cramping a little and have ordered some FRER so I can gauge how it's progressing (daft I know!!!) x

Savvy21 · 12/11/2023 11:36

@bringmearainbow thanks - when is your scan?
@ELJ1502 totally understand the anxiety. I try and get by through saying I'm pregnant today and what happens next is totally out of my control so I can't worry about it as I can't change it. Also setting my expectations super low and not planning ahead for the future.

bringmearainbow · 12/11/2023 12:11

@Savvy21 it's Wednesday. Just gotta distract myself for a few more days 🙈

@Cekwells could you just say you’re on antibiotics? You could then just take your pregnancy vitamins in front of them?

Savvy21 · 12/11/2023 13:17

@bringmearainbow fingers crossed that it all goes well. How many weeks will you be?

bringmearainbow · 12/11/2023 13:33

@Savvy21 lmp will put me at 7 weeks but I think I'll only be about 6+3

Normally I can eat and snack to my hearts content, over the last couple of days when I eat I get really full quickly and then feel full for ages afterwards and have to make myself eat my next meal. I’m nauseous some of the time and randomly gag (all good fun!). Hormones changing are a weird and wonderful thing aren’t they?! Anyone else having any funny symptoms? I feel a bit all over the place this weekend!

Cekwells · 12/11/2023 20:29

I think for me it's the constant feeling of being unsettled...it's so strange 🤣

bringmearainbow · 12/11/2023 20:38

My symptoms have changed dramatically over the last few days. I was def feeling very normal but now I'm all over the place 🙈 also if anyone has any tips for the worst case of dry mouth I've ever seen please send them my way 😂 my mouth has literally felt like a desert for 4 days straight and nothing bloody quenches it 😭

Wow. This thread moves so fast. It's difficult to keep up.
I did a test with several different brands this morning to reassure myself. And ended up with a 2-3 weeks on the clearblue digital. This is way earlier than I got it with my son. I was only due AF today / 13dpo / CD27.
My parents are visiting us and my husband initially didn't want to tell them yet. But my mum already sense something. And with the reassurance this morning we decided to tell them and his parents. But that's it.
Still pondering when to tell my work.
My symptoms keep coming and going.the Tender boobs and nipples are not constant. And every time the pain dissapears I panic. I have light cramping on and off. Lots of bloating. Lots of burping. And the fatigue hit me this afternoon. Took a nap but that wasn't enough. Tired to the bones
Still anxious about miscarriage or missed miscarriage.
Planning to book a private ultrasound. Checked and we did it at 6 and a half weeks last time. My son did have a heartbeat at that point. But wondering if that is a bit early. At the same time I am really desperate for some reassurance

FigandHoney · 12/11/2023 21:08

@bringmearainbow sorry. I have no advise for dry mouth unfortunately

@ELJ1502 unfortunately I don't have any tips. But I do feel exactly the same. I try and tell myself that this might be my last pregnancy and to try and enjoy it. And I keep thanking my body for carrying our baby. Trying to send positive vibes yo my brain.

@hopingfor23 congratulations!! We have the same due date!

@MrsHousePlant you mentioning funny symptoms reminds me that I have also started sleep talking. Something I haven't done in a while. And I dribble at night, which I remember doing in the pregnancy with my son

MrsHousePlant · 12/11/2023 21:19

@FigandHoney its so bizarre how we start behaving so differently isn’t it?! It’s taken nothing to make me cry the last couple of days either, nice things, sad things, I’ll have a little cry about it.

I’ve already told my work by the way, I know it’s early but I wanted a risk assessment due to some of the things I do sooner rather than later. I figured I would tell them if I needed time off if this isn’t a successful pregnancy too so I’d rather protect myself.

Thenatcheshire · 13/11/2023 08:26

I was taking a test this morning ( daily habit atm) took a picture of it and when looking back at the picture, the container I washed out with my wee in it that’s caught in the pic I’m worried it’s a miscarriage please help 😔

Hi everyone 😁 so many new ladies! Exciting ❤️
I came to check everyone is feeling ok ? I hit the 6 week mark and my symptoms have ramped up for sure! I haven't experienced this many symptoms before so strangely it's easing my anxiety about prior experiences.

I'm experiencing dry mouth too, it woke me up at 3am last night! Also, super 'hungover' feeling, emotional and super nauseas (and of course boobs! ouch!) Yesterday was the worst for nausea. Going to read up on the nausea cures!

SarahBee87 · 13/11/2023 09:48

Warning TMI:

Has anyone had light brown discharge after DTD? This happened to me last night at 5 + 5 weeks. It was very light and mixed with CM. I haven't had any spotting or anything until then. It seems to be okay this morning so hoping it's nothing.

I have a scan on Wednesday so hoping for the best!

Jess725 · 13/11/2023 09:50

@Thenatcheshire oh no I'm sorry you are so worried. Can you call the epu and show them the photo?
It could be a piece of toilet roll ❤️

Thenatcheshire · 13/11/2023 09:55

Thanks so much for the reply @Jess725 . Sorry what’s epu? I only found out Friday/ confirmed with more test Saturday so havent spoken to Dr etc yet. Filled in their online form this morning saying I’m pregnant and wanted an appointment asap and apparently a GP ( hopefully mine) will call this morning. I’ve never been pregnant before so I’m relying on Dr Google and these threads to learn what to do!! Xxx

CheshGirl · 13/11/2023 10:13

To anyone suffering with nausea...

Yes to the travel band but location is important, I have ladies come and they are always in the wrong place. If you google PC6 and PC5 acu point locations, have a feel and if it is more tender on one or the other pop your band there.

Also
San Pellegrino - a citrus one, lemon is great
Mint tea
Green apple, (not peeled you want he skin)
Have a salty dry cracker on waking (by the side of the bed in a ziplock)
Ginger is great also, but try and avoid ginger nuts too much sugar go for a nairns ginger oat biscuit
Coconut water
Grapefruit again before you get out of bed if poss
Add apple cider vinegar to meals or if you can stomach it drink it diluted in water, you can use a straw
Small amounts of protein (meat)
B6, Mag and Iron - I really like floradix for this, great for pregnant mums
Cut out greasy, sugary and industrial seed oils from the diet
Avoid cold and raw foods (a biggy)
If you can get to a acu great, and ask them to gua sha the occiput, neck and upper back - a fab treatment
If they have white flower oil and little in the navel helps too

Jess725 · 13/11/2023 10:27

@Thenatcheshire Oh that's great the gp is calling this morning, should be soon they usually prioritise pregnancy ❤️ epu is 'early pregnancy unit' but don't worry, just tell the gp your concerns and take it from there :)

FigandHoney · 13/11/2023 10:53

@Thenatcheshire I am sorry you are worried. Could it have been in the container before? It's such a tiny sorc I wouldn't worry too much at this point. But definitely talk to the GP for reassurance.

@SarahBee87 Trying to remember what I was told in my previous pregnancy. But I believe you have a lot more blood flowing through you in pregnancy and your bits down there can be a bit more sensitive and easy to irritate. Intercourse in itself is fine during pregnancy. And a bit of bleeding can also be normal. I experienced bleeding from a subchrionic hemorrhage last time and was told as long as I am not soaking though a pad every hour, it should be OK.

@CheshGirl thank you for the great tips!

How long did it take for someone to get back to you if you self-referred through badger notes? The system didn't exist when I was last pregnant and I am now wondering if I should have just called my GP instead.

Did another test this morning and it was the same as yesterday, eventhough yesterday's had darkened. So I am now worried again. I know I am doing this to myself

CheshGirl · 13/11/2023 11:12

I have spotted through all of my pregnancies in the first trimester ranging from brown to fresh bright red.
This is my third and I'm spotting again.
Not concerned at all, as when you think of the changes in your uterus and the stretching and burrowing from the placenta it's normal that there will be a little impact.

Anything more that lingers beyond a couple of wipes or requires you to wear a pad requires medical attention ideally from the EPU

justanotherlaura · 13/11/2023 11:15

@FigandHoney try not to test every single day or only compare tests every second day, hcg doubles every 2 days so sometimes 1 day is too small a rise to notice a difference

I also caveat that with try and remember that the tests are only designed to tell us we're pregnant not to show us how well everything is progressing. Last time I had a dye stealer on 16dpo then went back to non dye stealers from 17dpo onwards and was still a successful pregnancy

I know it's hard but try not to over analyse the tests and remember that they become more unreliable when you get closer to 6 weeks

Forest1234 · 13/11/2023 12:01

@Thenatcheshire personally I’d be confused more than concerned. It’s so tiny and no other worries? Hopefully you get reassurance soon. I am firmly a one test only girl, I’d just be conscious of daily testing as could lead to unnecessary stress. Fingers crossed all is well and congrats

Ewbo2024 · 13/11/2023 13:05

Hiya @bringmearainbow
Wow this thread is moving quickly 😊
I had my repeat bloods this morning and have just had the results back! HCG now over well over 15000, so GP says we don't need to do another.
Thanks for your advice, I can't tell anyone yet so its great to be able to speak to others on here.
How are you doing?
