Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

Hi, hope it's ok to join this thread! I'm 4+3 dating from lmp so due mid-july I think! This is #2, we've been trying for about 8 months because it took over a year to conceive DS (who is 17 months on Sunday).

I feel like I'm having symptoms already and they definitely didn't start until 6+ weeks with my first! I had cramping for a couple of days which I do remember having before but that's eased off now but I'm sure I'm nauseous and extra tired already!

@NphysT I told work around 6 weeks last time and will probably do the same this time (just the people who need to know, not everyone!), partly because of morning sickness and partly because I work with radiation so they can help me be careful!

Hello ladies,

Eeeek, initially was just planning to be a silent reader but I've been enjoying reading your experiences etc and thought perhaps I should share too.

This is my 1st pregnancy (long anticipated too!!) so everything feels new and weird at the same time.

I got my BFP last Tuesday and it said 2-3 weeks. Not too many symptoms at the moment, some migraines and mildly sore boobs on and off.

I'm trying to forget it all hoping that time may go faster that way. I think I'll hold off private scans until mid-December as I rather have the heartbeat and see something at once if that makes sense. Not planning to tell work until January also but we'll see how things develop!

MinnieLou · 10/11/2023 19:55

Hey,
Congratulations to all!
Hope you don't mind me joining!
If all goes well my due date is 7th July.
I have an almost 4 year old, I've had two miscarriages this year already.
I was told I was miscarrying again as my progesterone was only 3.9 but they scanned me a few days later and all seems as it should for 5 weeks.. I have a rescan on the 21st so it really is a waiting game at the moment but thought it would help being in a support group like this. ♥️

KM8 · 10/11/2023 20:36

@MummyBear2519 ooh you work in a school too?
I work with a girl who is 2 weeks or so in front of me, she has told everyone about her pregnancy but I haven't (I feel like they will think why haven't i told them when I eventually do!) but I'm personally not ready to share the news this early?

I always worry about other people and need to start focusing on myself! 🙈

Lisao86 · 10/11/2023 20:46

Hi everyone, and congratulations on the many positives! 🥳
Got my first positive test this week (well 4 tests!) after 12 months of TTC. Due date is 14th July- it looks like there are some date twins in the group.
Finding it so hard trying to not get too excited atm. I just want to tell the world and shop for baby clothes!!

@KM8 yes I work in a school office. Slightly frustrated 6 weeks of my maternity leave is summer holidays, feels it’s a waste of my 39 weeks when I would be off and getting paid for it anyway!
Im happy for the other lady to take the spotlight at the moment and hope no one has clocked me constantly eating dry cereal to keep the hunger at bay. I’m also usually the go to for biscuits and sweets in my desk but I’ve gone off everything sweet so the draw is empty.

ELJ1502 · 10/11/2023 22:12

@MummyBear2519 I had the exact same thoughts about school. 😂

Kate9423 · 11/11/2023 08:38

Anyone else panic when symptoms go temporarily? As soon as nausea and bloating disappears for a bit, instantly my brain goes 'oh, you're not pregnant anymore' 🤦🏽‍♀️

Aren't our own thoughts sometimes the worst!!

Thenatcheshire · 11/11/2023 09:47

Hi all, I think I tested positive today. There’s definitely lines but they’re faint on the 3 tests I took this morning. Depending on which app I look at due date would be 13th or 20th July 2024. I feel overwhelmed, emotional, excited, scared!! I’m 36, first time mum ( maybe?) No one in my life has been pregnant recently so turning online for support x

This is the first thing I worried about ( supplements) I’m clueless about everything baby but I read vitamin c and folic acid are super important in the first 3 months. I’ve ordered some tablets from wild nutrition that contain the fold acid ( arrive wed) so my OH has popped out to get me some folic acid in the meantime ( I’m paranoid not to take) and I’ve ordered some same day delivery vitamin c liposomal from Amazon to come today. Expensive but had a panic and want baby to be healthy. Don’t know if I should be taking anything else but it’s a start. Sorry for essay! Xxx

@Kate9423 I woke up in the night panicking that might boobs weren't sore anymore and have spent the morning touching them like a manic person trying to decide if they are sore. I felt a bit sick this morning but not sure if that was more anxiety than pregnancy.
This pregnancy after my early miscarriage is so much more full of anxiety than I remember being last time. It's going to be a long wait to 12 weeks!

After writing that post I had some spotting when I wiped this morning. Mainly old brown with a bit of red in, so now I'm panicking! It's my first and I'm not sure Google is helpful or not.

wannabe123 · 11/11/2023 11:37

@Kate9423 oh no! Fingers crossed it's nothing. Typical it's at a weekend. If anything more happens definitely contact your midwife/EPU.

Savvy21 · 11/11/2023 12:23

@Kate9423 I think you're about 1 day ahead of me. I had a little bit of brown spotting last night and had some, including red, when AF was due. Maybe see how you go over the next 24 hours? If it continues for longer or you get any pain then I'd definitely ring EPU. Fingers crossed that it stops and it's just the bean making itself all cozy.

CheshGirl · 11/11/2023 14:18

Recently changed to Zita West vitamins and highly recommend x

Cookiemonster19 · 11/11/2023 15:27

I’m getting some sharp stabby pains randomly in my right and left side! They’re really random not constant. Is this normal? I know it’s probably growing pains but can someone please reassure me as I’m paranoid 😪

ELJ1502 · 11/11/2023 15:41

@Kate9423 i’ve had a few days of the same but my period would have been due this weekend. I’m hoping it’s just that. Google seems to say it’s very common.

I definitely got it last time after DTD.

Tryingforanother2020 · 11/11/2023 15:46

Strange couple of days for me! On and off spotting for a few days, bit of pain. EPU did a scan and there was a gestational sac but nothing inside. They said it’s a waiting game until another scan in 2 weeks to see if a yolk sac, fetal like etc develop. I’m unsure as I feel like this should already be there at 6+3 (fairly confident with timing but could be a couple of days out). It’s going to be a long, torturous couple of weeks.

Angela301 · 11/11/2023 17:09

Hi all I had a positive last Wednesday period was around 3 days late, confirmed with a clear blue digital also… although retested with the home bargains 3 for 89p tests and the lines fainter today then it was yesterday 🙈 I’ve been having cramps since last night on and off. Convinced myself now that I’ll start to bleed soon (this happened last summer) I also think my clear blue test should have said 2:3weeks but it was only 1/3 weeks. Who knows. Waiting game. Just needed to vent 😂😂

Griffles · 11/11/2023 17:57

Hi ladies

Can I tentatively join you? This is my 7th pregnancy but I only have 1 child, we have a genetic condition so we know there's a 50% chance that this pregnancy won't work out. But joining this thread as it makes me feel more normal 😅it sounds like there's a few recurrent loss mummas here so we can all lean on each other ❤

Also I haven't actually told my husband yet so it's nice to share with someone! I'm not sure why, I'm just a bit bored of telling him I'm pregnant as its not exactly exiting for us at this stage (not like the happy couplea in the adverts when they sit together in the bathroom while they wait for the test 😂). And I guess in my heart I'm trying to spare him the worry for a bit longer.

I've got no idea of my actual due date ad my cycle hadn't returned to normal after my last miscarriage in August. I'll have an early scan in 2/3 (if I'm still preggo!) as I'm under specialist care so will have a better The of what's going on then.

Beth191 · 11/11/2023 22:27

@Cookiemonster19 I'm having cramps pretty much all the time, I'm pretty sure I remember having them when I was pregnant with my son too so I'm trying not to worry!

bringmearainbow · 11/11/2023 22:50

@Savvy21 I'm so glad LO is in the right place!

@Thenatcheshire the nhs recommends folic acid and vitamin d. Your multi vit one you've ordered will probably have it in though

@Griffles I totally understand how you feel this is my 6th pregnancy I have 1 living child. It's never fun doing tests now. Interestingly before we fell with this one we were talking about karotyping because our third mc they tested came back as inconclusive so we would have to pay for it ourselves. Though I do have thyroid issues and auto immune issues the karotyping is the only test we haven't done yet. I think it will be something we pay for privately if this one doesn't stick

I'm so so constipated atm it's unreal. I might go to the pharmacy and see if there's anything I can take I've never had it this bad. Having a few twingy cramps nothing too bad though

@bringmearainbow thanks so much for the reply. I’m a ball of anxiety can’t relax at all. Xx

Cekwells · 12/11/2023 09:22

I would love to join - first timer here. I've just hit 5 weeks and due around 13th July.
I'm due to go to Copenhagen in a few days with a couple of my girls...really nervous about how to tackle it! They've known me for years and will definitely question why I'm not drinking...I'm incredibly cautious and would hate to tempt fate by telling them - it's making me really anxious 😰
