@junebuglb I think I’ll skip spending money on it 🙈

PeppedUp · 15/01/2024 22:17

@SarahBowie its called Squeezy - you’re ideally meant to do three sessions a day and it times you while you do a series of pelvic squeezes.

TheBirdintheCave · 15/01/2024 22:31

@nh93 Recurrent miscarriage in my case. No evidence it would help as my clotting tests were all clear but they've gone with the 'can't hurt, might help' approach. I'm on progesterone too.

Sa11yCinnamon · 16/01/2024 15:49

I'm also on aspirin, because my mum had pre-eclampsia with me, and have had quite a bloody nose - hadn't linked the two!

Had a really nice day today, it's my partner's birthday and he came with me to my midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat on the doppler for the first time. Then he build all the baby furniture so he's feeling very manly 😂We've also unpacked the car seat and tried all the different versions of the pram, and I've submitted my MatB1 form for work and my baby box form too.

It's all getting reeeal!

I'm getting married on Saturday (don't recommend planning a wedding while pregnant!) and feel myself coming down with a cold/sore throat 🤦‍♀️ Is there anything pregnancy safe I can realistically do to help my chances of not getting ill that's pregnancy safe between now and then!? Grateful for your thoughts! x

junebuglb · 16/01/2024 19:09

@newbie12345678 oh huge congratulations!! And bless you, that’s such crap luck. I would just stay as hydrated as physically possible, and load up on vitamin c, lots of fresh fruit and veggies.
I’m sure you will have an absolutely brilliant time regardless though 💕

newbie12345678 · 16/01/2024 19:34

Oh god and now I'm panicking I didn't reheat my beef mince enough that I just had for dinner as it was only warm not hot and I'm going to get food poisoning or harm the baby in some way. My anxiety is in overdrive - handhold please! Flowers

Sa11yCinnamon · 17/01/2024 09:21

@newbie12345678 the beef will have been absolutely fine, don't panic! For the cold, lots of honey and lemon and if you're achey/have a temperature, paracetamol. I'm sure nothing will spoil your day, how exciting!

Judethepud · 17/01/2024 12:23

@newbie12345678 hope you have the most amazing wedding day! The week before is always a stress but it will all be worth it and everything will go well on the day.

Nelliepledge · 17/01/2024 13:55

Has anyone felt kicks from the outside yet? I'm 21 weeks 5 days today and have only felt flutters so far. But just been sitting at work and I felt and saw my tummy move on the outside, a couple of times! Don't know if it was a twitch or a kick but was exciting 😂xx

TheBirdintheCave · 17/01/2024 14:46

@Nelliepledge Yep, I'm 23+2 and my husband has felt baby kicking on the outside for a few weeks now :)

SarahBowie · 17/01/2024 15:09

@Nelliepledge I’m 22+3 and have been getting really strong kicks this week. I’m convinced I can feel them from the outside but my partner isn’t able to pick up yet. My friend said she was about 25/26 weeks by the time her husband could feel on the outside.

My bump changes shape depending on baby’s position. She seems to like to hang out to the left quite often so I can look a bit lopsided sometimes but then I can see if she’s moved up or down as well depending where my bump is that day. Not seen her move yet, my mum said that comes once they’ve less room then you can see the actually foot poking through :)

newbie12345678 · 17/01/2024 15:27

Thank you @Judethepud @junebuglb @Sa11yCinnamon - I'm definitely getting over anxious in the run up so hopefully everything will be ok 🙏 xxx

junebuglb · 17/01/2024 17:18

@Nelliepledge that’s exciting, lovely isn’t it. I really do think a week or even a few days can make all the difference, as I’d say this week in particular it feels like my babe has been trying to break out!! I can really see when she’s hanging out over on one side, or if she gives me a cheeky boot. Sort of nervous for when shes bigger and stronger but also love it! I’m 22+4. X

Nelliepledge · 17/01/2024 17:21

It's so lovely, feels more like I'm getting to know her a bit more for some reason 😂 also today was the first time a stranger asked me when I was due aswell 😂 milestone xx

Yourowgirl · 18/01/2024 07:18

Congratulations @newbie12345678 have a wonderful day, savour and enjoy it!

Emmacb82 · 18/01/2024 09:12

@newbie12345678 congratulations and I hope you feel better for your special day!

I woke up this morning with some pink discharge, has anyone else had this? Otherwise feel fine and can feel her moving but I hate when things happen out of the blue! You would think by third time round I would be totally relaxed 🤣

Sa11yCinnamon · 18/01/2024 10:12

@Emmacb82 I've not had any bleeding or spotting since 11 weeks but was told if it happened again to phone immediately, so I would call to put your mind at ease x

LondonGirl1992 · 18/01/2024 10:20

Is anyone else noticing baby movements a lot more this week? It’s so magical and I feel like I am FINALLY enjoying this pregnancy!

SarahBowie · 18/01/2024 11:20

@LondonGirl1992 I’ve noticed such a difference with movements this week! All of a sudden she’s really active and strong 🥰

I do have a small concern though, I was told at 20 week scan I’ve got a low lying anterior placenta and they would keep and eye on it as if it moved it could become placenta previa. They said I wouldn’t feel movement at the front because of the placenta but I’m getting all the kicks at the front so I’m thinking my placenta has slipped down.

Sa11yCinnamon · 18/01/2024 11:21

@LondonGirl1992 me, Sunday was the first time I felt definite movement. It's so weird/amazing!

Toda11 · 18/01/2024 16:04

I'm 23+5 and have had a few days now this week where baby has been noticeably more wriggly and have felt more movement. I have a high front placenta so I generally feel the movements lower down and at the sides.

Husband has also been able to feel the occasional kick from the outside as well.

A friend at work also commented on bump moving as she noticed a difference between morning and afternoon.

SarahBowie · 18/01/2024 18:46

Think I’m having a bit of a hormonal day today. Was on a call with my friend at work today and we were doing some general chit chat before we got to work things. She said her cat was lying next to her so she showed me on the screen and he was all curled up sleeping soundly, I started crying uncontrollably because he was just so cute 😂 we couldn’t stop laughing!

If anyone’s had a meh day, hope that cheers you up, at least you didn’t cry about a cat 🙈

This is me all over! I dropped my dog at doggy day care yesterday and she cried and tried to run back to me and I was in tears the whole way to work! I think our hormones are all over the shop 🤣

Judethepud · 18/01/2024 20:51

I've been feeling movements so much more this week. It is so amazing and also super weird at the same time lol my baby loves the night time, kicks mostly in the evenings and the middle of the night! Husband felt his first kick today!

Lol @SarahBowie I'm crying at a lot more this week as well.
