My boobs get increasingly sore through the day. Every morning I wake up worried they feel completely normal and then by the end of the day it's painful just taking my bra off. Last night my daughter threw a really small and light inflatable ball and it hit me directly on my nipple and omg the pain 😱 this morning though there's nothing. Pregnancy is weird!

Cinderz123 · 31/08/2023 07:56

I wake up with the heaviest sore boobs each morning then through the day they feel less sore then by bed time they hurt again 🤷‍♀️ I don't seem to get much in the way of nausea now either usually around tea time but dosnt last but the fatigue is what gets me I could nap all day long xx

Lbw1292 · 31/08/2023 08:38

Morning! My boobs are actually more sore when they’re not in a bra for some reason 😂 I would say my tenderness is relatively light though.. I do believe my main symptom is tiredness!

I went to the gym this morning, I haven’t been since my positive test 2 weeks ago.. I feel really worried and nervous about exercising but I didn’t do anything intense. I just want this sorry to go away because nothing has happened to make me worry! Xx :(

Poppins2016 · 31/08/2023 08:40

My nausea seems to come in waves... I had a few days where it was constant about a week ago and now it's up and down which is a bit disconcerting (had barely any nausea over the weekend)... I guess it's all within the realm of normal!

I still have no breast pain/achiness which is a bit odd (for me - I had it in both previous pregnancies) but I do have more sensitive nipples (third pregnancy and still breastfeeding so I guess there are less significant changes going on).

I have a scan this afternoon which I hope will be reassuring (from 3 perspectives: dates, location of pregnancy due to high risk of ectopic and viability).

Bexxy28 · 31/08/2023 08:50

@Lbw1292 I haven't been in 2 weeks either since finding out and for the same reasons incase I do too much and something happens! Maybe going back is good to take your mind of things!

Bexxy28 · 31/08/2023 08:54

@Poppins2016 hope your scan goes okay! How many weeks are you? I suppose it is normal that everyone will experience something different! X

Greenvelvetdress · 31/08/2023 09:11

@Lbw1292 well done for going! I've been carrying on with my PT but not pushing myself too hard.

I've had three previous miscarriages and stopped exercising with most of them which clearly didn't make any difference and just made me feel crap when I'd lost my strength etc so this time I'm going steady when I feel upto it.

ASGIRC · 31/08/2023 09:11

@Lbw1292 taking my bra off feels like torture at this point. In the bra, theyre nice and tight, and not particularly sore... but take it out and its pain central!

the gym cannot harm the baby. Exercise that you are used to doing is not dangerous.

Im 8+6 today and I have a second scan at my clinic this afternoon. Im bricking it that it will be bad news, even though I had a lovely scan 2 weeks ago, with a strong heartbeat, and everything looking fine.

Symptoms wise, my food aversion is still terrible. And now I get actual nausea after I eat (eating does not stop the nausea, it makes it worse!!!!).
Ive lost 3kg as of this morning, which, while I do have spare weight to lose, now was not the ideal time for it!

Lbw1292 · 31/08/2023 09:46

@Poppins2016 i hope everything goes well for you today - fingers crossed 🤞🏻✨

@Bexxy28 yeah I agree! I want to be healthy for the baby, so I am glad I’ve got myself back sooner rather than later but I was worrying the whole time 😂 just need to get used to it!

@Greenvelvetdress yeah I have a PT too and I think I am going to tell her tomorrow I am pregnant because pre-pregnancy we were doing very heavy weights (for me) so definitely need to lay off that 😂 it’s nice that you are taking a different approach this pregnancy and I hope it pays off for you ❤️

@ASGIRC haha sounds like we are similar then! I agree, when they are tucked away everything is fine 😂 thank you! I’m going to keep up going now I’ve got myself back.. just the first session is hard. Best of luck for your second scan, given you had a strong heartbeat on your last, I would keep that in mind 😍 sorry to hear about your nausea!

Xx

ASGIRC · 31/08/2023 09:56

@Lbw1292 thank you! Rationally I know things are likely to be fine. But these intrusive negative thoughts are a lot!
regarding weights, they are only a "danger" to you, as during pregnancy, particularly as it gets to the later stages, your ligaments are more stretched and also loose, so you risk injury yourself! The baby will be fine!

But your PT will probably have some experience with it, so will be the best person to talk to!

Lbw1292 · 31/08/2023 10:13

@ASGIRC it’s actually so hard to shake the intrusive thoughts out of your mind. I am finding it SO hard.. I think the difficulty with the TTC journey is you know a lot about other peoples past experiences and yoh kind of learn about all the things that can go wrong! But we need to remember that more often than not, things go right 😊 let us know how it goes!

Thank you for that advice! I imagine in the later stages I will not be wanting to go to the gym 😂 I’ll be exhausted from lugging around all the extra weight!

ASGIRC · 31/08/2023 10:21

@Lbw1292 Right?? This is my first pregnancy, my first try, and everything is going well so far. I have no reason to think otherwise. And yet, here I am, thinking the worst at all times!

haha yeah, that will possibly be true! But I have known some women who were hitting it hard until the day they popped! You might be surprised!

Lbw1292 · 31/08/2023 10:54

@ASGIRC omg you got pregnant first try?! Lucky lady! We got pregnant our 7th cycle and this our first baby, again have no reason to worry about things but I guess this just prepares us for a lifetime of worrying about our children 😂

ASGIRC · 31/08/2023 10:56

@Lbw1292 Oh, Im a SMBC, this was my first try with IVF. But still, pretty lucky anyway!!! I defintily did not expect it (had money saved for 3 transfers, and planned on saving more!)

Lbw1292 · 31/08/2023 11:21

@ASGIRC definitely still lucky! One of my friends is going through IVF and is just in the TWW, I haven’t told her I’m pregnant yet but I hope it works for her like it did for you ❤️❤️

hopefully all that extra money can go toward baby items 😍

ASGIRC · 31/08/2023 11:25

@Lbw1292 good luck to your friend!!!

Yes, the extra money will definitely come in handy! Either for baby items or to pay down the mortgage, to have smaller monthly payments! Either way, it helps the baby!!

SeasideSunshineSussex · 31/08/2023 11:36

So lovely to hear so many people are progressing well 🤍 April will be here in no time!

Wondered what others might do in this situation: I've got my first scan booked (12 weeks) for the 26th September. We are heading off on a big holiday abroad on the 28th September. I feel fine about the travel, but I'm worried that if the scan doesn't go to plan, obviously we will be devastated, and I'd assume we'd have to miss the trip to wait and see what happens medically. I'm considering moving the scan date slightly earlier but am guessing the NHS will only allow it to be a week earlier tops. Will this actually make a difference?

Am hoping all will be ok but first pregnancy so totally clueless around everything. Badly timed holiday!

Lbw1292 · 31/08/2023 11:59

@asgirc definitely - looking forward to hearing how your scan goes!

@SeasideSunshineSussex I totally know what you mean, we go away next week and rather than book the scan before, I am going to book it for the week after. However, I won’t be 12 weeks.. if I were you I would book for a week earlier and see how that app goes! But equally, if anything did go wrong (which it won’t 🤞🏻) it may be nice to just be able to leave the country a couple of days after xx

ASGIRC · 31/08/2023 12:02

@SeasideSunshineSussex the 12 week scan needs to be done between weeks 11 and 14. So it really depends on how far along you will be by the 26th. There isn't MUCH wiggle room, though.

Bluesky85 · 31/08/2023 12:44

Hi there, I’m after some advice. I’d like to tell my friend I’m pregnant. She had two miscarriages before her first, and two more before her second. I know that ttc was a traumatic experience for her and her losses- and what she experienced during those times- still stay with her to this day. On one hand she has two beautiful children so assume she’ll be ‘fine’ with my news, on the other hand should I still tread carefully in some way? Maybe I’m overthinking it!

ive never had a loss but then I’ve never been pregnant before which in itself has brought sadness to me seeing everyone around me have babies. I’m over 40.

Babyrabbit1 · 31/08/2023 12:48

Bexxy28 · 31/08/2023 06:55

Hey everyone! How is everyone feeling this morning? Im 6+2 and feel a loss of symptoms my boobs aren't as sore this morning and had cramping throughout the night but no blood anything. Obviously worried but trying not to 🥺 has anyone else barely any symptoms or experienced decrease in sore boobs?

@bexxy28 im also 6+2 and i sometimes get painful cramps and some days i dont. My boobs arent as sore either, im just taking tests everyday to make sure the second line is still dark for reasurrance🥰 dont worry i think most of us are in the same situation, im just tired all the time and have quite alot of lower back ache, have you thought about booking a private scan? Im thinking of going next week xxxx

Poppins2016 · 31/08/2023 12:49

Thanks @Bexxy28 and @Lbw1292

Bexxy28, I'm just over 7 weeks based on ovulation date (not LMP which puts me at around 8 weeks, my cycles are wonky due to PCOS). I think I'll probably measure 7 +1 or 2... shouldn't be any less as I tested positive quite early at 7 dpo. 🤞

WolfMother326 · 31/08/2023 13:04

@Bluesky85 congratulations on your baby. So happy for you that you finally get to enjoy this time. My best friend also had a lot of losses but now has a baby. I told her I'm pregnant but we just talk honestly about the risks. You can say I'm mindful of what you've been through but just wanted to share. I'm sure she'll be pleased for you!

@SeasideSunshineSussex can you change it for closer to 14 weeks? Hopefully, though, the scan will be a happy one. Also, what hospital are you at? I'm also in Sussex.

sugarplum33 · 31/08/2023 13:33

@Bluesky85 I think if you're ever in doubt about someone's fertility journey and how they might take pregnancy news, it's best to tell them via text, ideally when you think they'll be at home and they'll have a bit of time to take it in privately.

It took us over a year to conceive this pregnancy and it was a really emotional journey that bought some really horrible and probably unreasonable feelings. One day I was just having a bad day anyway and had just got my period and my sister out of the blue announced her pregnancy to me and it hit me like a tonne of bricks and I had to hide to have a cry. Of course I was thrilled for her but devastated for myself and I really wish I could have just have my little emotional moment in private before pulling myself together to wish her congratulations.

So that would be my only advice. She will probably be ecstatic for you but if there's any chance it could bring up uncomfortable emotions then allow her to process those emotions in a private, safe space and then she will be ready to show her excitement when she sees you.

Greenvelvetdress · 31/08/2023 14:53

I would agree with what @sugarplum33 - I would always rather find out via text due to my previous losses.
