Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

Welcome and congratulations @JR94 and @naggy095 😃.

@wishuponastar2018 congratulations - this must be a super stressful time after your previous losses, I'm so sorry you had to through them. Really hope you can relax - well done only testing twice! Xx

wishuponastar2018 · 31/08/2023 08:12

@MindatWork thank you, am trying to be positive and give my self positive chats.

I have one very special rainbow so I know its possible!

Hows everyone feeling?

I am on steroids so am tired but wired at the same time 🙈

lenalove · 31/08/2023 09:27

Congrats @naggy095 and @wishuponastar2018 ! So sorry to hear about your previous losses, crossing everything for you this time around ❤

I did a first trimester positive affirmation meditation last night and it really helped calmed my nerves (may have also had a little cry 😅hormones are not my friend at the mo!!)

wishuponastar2018 · 31/08/2023 09:28

@naggy095 congratulations to you and fingers crossed all is okay with this pregnancy.

PAL is very hard, and its hard no to think the worst but every pregnancy is different symptoms are different and cramping is normal to have or not have

wishuponastar2018 · 31/08/2023 09:34

@lenalove thank you and to you too.

Oh i was crying watching Disney with my DS at the weekend 🙈.. got to love hormones, constipation has started too.

Nausea seems to be behaving just now, i normally run 5-7 miles but my energy has gone walked run 2 miles this morning

GLC789 · 31/08/2023 17:57

Hey all, sorry I've been MIA, hectic work week.

I just wanted to drop in to recommend this book I got, particularly for the first time mamas to be like me!

I'm really enjoying it. It's reassuring and written in such plain and easy to read language.

So far, it's removed all my worry about my random cramps, and I've slept much better knowing that it's perfectly normal to be feeling the way I do.

Sending love to everyone!

I'm reluctantly joining, I'm a STM, my EDD is April 30th based on LMP, for my BFP the day my period was due... feeling nauseous, and cranky, and have hot flashes 🥴

Fearing the worst every 5 minutes, trying to be more chilled about it all but it's hard! My first pregnancy was easy, full of anxiety but the first trimester flew by as it was during the first lockdown.

This time every time I get up I get a gush, think I'm bleeding but it's discharge (tmi sorry) anyone else have this?

My symptoms are so different to my first, I just feel car sick in the evening and a few times throughout the day! Feel very lucky to be pregnant again.

Plumful · 31/08/2023 21:37

Got a positive test today. Second baby, first month of trying, the clear blue ovulation sticks worked a treat. I am excited and still in disbelief. My first was a lockdown and I had horrendous nausea and nothing to take my mind off things so I hope this time it will be very different.

ttcthoughts · 31/08/2023 22:55

Hi Ladies,
I hope you do not mind me joining too.
mom tentatively due 06/05/2024 😊 I got my first positive at 8DPO and got a clear blue 2-3 weeks yesterday at 15DPO 🎉🎉

We have had a couple of MCs in the past so I’m trying to not get too excited but also they never progressed passed 1-2 weeks 😊😊

Hope everyone is feeling ok x

Yes I get this with the discharge!! I have got used to it now and trust more that it is unlikely to be blood. At first I was rushing to the toilet to check.

I am now week 6 and symptoms have ramped up a lot. Exhausted, nausea and sore boobs. Needing to lie down a lot. I am on annual leave this week so dreading work again now! Although hoping it will be a good distraction.

My nausea has ramped up, I've had waves of it since about 3dpo, I thought it was a stomach bug but I had no other symptoms.

Have you found anything to combat the nausea? I didn't have this with my first, and all I can do is eat rich teas 😅

Iamcatmum · 01/09/2023 14:17

Hey to all the new folks on the thread

I’m 6w today - symptoms so far: cramping, mild nausea waves, tired, drinking and peeing a lot. New one today: extreme grouchiness 😅

Wondering if/when the sickness is going to hit…

PigPug · 01/09/2023 14:24

I have found eating is the only thing to curb it. So trying to have a big breakfast then small healthy snacks throughout the day. Only problem is carbs seem to be the thing which helps most so I bought children's portion low calorie crisps like snack a jacks and rice cakes to try and limit weight gain.

wishuponastar2018 · 01/09/2023 14:37

I definitely found carbs helped my nausea.

My consultant said to listen to your body its clever if your cravings full fat coke, its is probably in need if some fast energy, if its carbs its looking for some slower burn.

I try to be kinds to myself when i am pregnant, my 1st pregnancy with my angels Findley i hated my body i had lost so much weight then as soon as i was pregnant i just felt fat fat.. when he was born sleeping i swore i would never do that to myself again, and i would embrace pregnancy.

My nausea is coming and going which is freaking me out, some times I dont even feel pregnant but i am only 5/6 weeks so still early.

With my last pregnancy it was around 7/8 weeks the sickness really hit me hard

Sherw00d · 01/09/2023 14:42

Hi ladies! 😁

I’m very early, having only got a BFP a couple of days ago. I’m now 12dpo and my estimated due date is 12 May.

It’ll be my second baby. My little girl is almost 6, so the thought of going back to the horrors of the newborn stage is fairly horrifying! 😂

wishuponastar2018 · 01/09/2023 15:55

@Sherw00d gentle congratulations to you. Am sure it will all cone flooding back to you

Anotheranxiousone · 01/09/2023 18:33

Has anyone got a heaviness/pulling feeling? I’ve had this a lot today (6+2). Similar to how I feel before period (not cramps though) and almost feels like I need to go to the toilet/have a poo (tmi!) anyone else?

Kellyaust · 01/09/2023 18:39

@Anotheranxiousone just replied to your other thread, I've got this and quite intense power back pain I'm 5 weeks today. Scary do not like it at all 🤦‍♀️

Pambeezley · 01/09/2023 19:13

@wishuponastar2018 actually the carbs has helped. I've been so nauseous all day, and currently out with family, eating pizza. Nobody knows I'm pregnant yet apart from my husband but I managed to curb the nausea! I know I can't eat that everyday 😂

Pambeezley · 01/09/2023 19:21

@Anotheranxiousone I think this is just things moving around? I've had period cramps and bad back ache since I found out I was pregnant. Your mucus plug is forming now too, I believe?

Anotheranxiousone · 01/09/2023 19:36

That’s reassuring thanks @Pambeezley!

lenalove · 01/09/2023 19:55

@Anotheranxiousone I have had mild cramps and funny pulling on and off since just before my BFP, mentioned it to my GP who said totally normal!

GLC789 · 01/09/2023 20:47

Ladies! Help!

My boobies! 😭. Only just hitting 5 weeks.

Today in particular my boobs have been so painful I've wanted to saw them off and send them down the river!

To the mamas that have been through this before, please help! What can a girl do to relieve the literal 'pain in my tit'?

For those who have mentioned cramps, mine are there too, tugging away. I hate it, but reassuring myself it's normal.

Sending great vibes and blessings to you all x
