Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

5 weeks here and due around 22nd April. I have had nausea on and off (it went away for two days which scared me but is back so I've learnt to trust things come and go), tiredness, metallic taste, light cramps and sore boobs. I self referred to the hospital. It is my first so I panicked and googled what to do. Know it is very early days so just hoping it all keeps going ok.

I wasn't going to but then got tempted into an early scan at 7 weeks to try and ease anxiety so have that in two weeks time.

Exciting but nerve wracking times.

Ahhh we could have the same due date ☺️

I've just booked a 7 week scan for 6th Sept, it's going to be a long 2 weeks.

Irish34 · 21/08/2023 21:29

Hi Everyone!
Got a BGP yesterday, due date all going well will be April 27th. This is my second pregnancy. I have a 2 year old. I am more chilled this time but also still very nervous. I didn't get any symptoms until over 6 weeks on my first. If that helps anyone worried about lack of of symptoms. I have a weeks indicator test upstairs which I am trying to stay away from! I am desperately trying to be calm!

Finn33 · 21/08/2023 22:23

@Irish34 congratulations 👏 my second baby too all going well. And for anyone worried, I had a lot of cramping with my first baby. So much so I had a number of early scans but all was well. They told me I was just one of those women that has intense cramping in early preg. Felt worse than period cramps at times. But like I said all turned out well ❤️‍🩹

Finn33 · 21/08/2023 22:38

@Iamcatmum thank you so much ❤️

Albrook · 22/08/2023 15:42

Hi! Congratulations to you all!!
I got my 2-3 weeks on my CB last night, i am somewhere around 5 weeks(some apps say 5w+2, some say 5w).
my EDD is April 24th

Maplestars · 22/08/2023 15:57

Congrats everyone!
I called the drs today after I got some intense cramps and panicked. I’ve got a midwife apt tomorrow and a drs appointment as well, thankfully the cramps have passed now so I feel like I made a fuss out of nothing, I’m not really sure what a dr could do for me anyway at this point.

@Finn33 how early did you get a scan last time?

hope everyone else is doing well today

Finn33 · 22/08/2023 16:19

@Maplestars I had one at 6 weeks and 2 days. They said that they were only doing it since my GP had referred me and that they wouldn't be able to see anything but thankfully we saw a tiny flutter of a heartbeat. I believe that isn't always the case at that stage but it gave me reassurance. They repeated the scans at 7 week and 9 weeks also before I had my proper daring scan at 12 weeks. I am in Ireland though so I'm not sure how it works elsewhere x

Hope all goes well with the doc and midwife - let us know how you get on.

I’ve been having some cramps on and off too, including a couple of times really bad ones. Had no idea early pregnancy cramping was a thing before all this!

PigPug · 23/08/2023 08:26

I have the cramps too. Sometimes I think it is due to constipation which is common in early pregnancy. I remind myself before I was pregnant I often got a sore tummy from constipation or my food digesting. Other times it is definitely just cramping but trying to trust my body.

I'm trying to say to myself 'right now I am pregnant and that's enough' whenever I panic and feel anxious about what might happen further along the pregnancy.

Iamcatmum · 23/08/2023 08:58

@PigPug that’s a good mindset to have

I also try and remind myself that most of it is out of our control as well, so worrying won’t help anything

Maplestars · 23/08/2023 11:55

Just to update in case it’s helpful for anyone, they weren’t concerned about the cramps, as long as they weren’t continuously extremely painful, or accompanied by excessive vomiting or fever. They said it’s just the uterus expanding. I’m booked in for the 8 week apt all being well, just have to wait and see now

@PigPug you’re so right, every day is a blessing and we hope for the best, but we feel blessed to have gotten this far. I keep trying to remind myself that all I can do is try to stay calm, eat well and take my supplements, everything else is out of my hands.

Iamcatmum · 23/08/2023 12:10

Thank you for update @Maplestars, glad it went well that’s reassuring.

Just had a phone call to book me in for the booking appointment at 9+3 - feels a lot more real now with an appointment booked in

Irish34 · 23/08/2023 15:05

I am also trying to stay very calm this time and have the mantra if it happens that’s amazing but I can’t control it with worry anyway. I was very anxious on my first so this time just trying to eat well (until nausea sets in) and stay somewhat active. It’s easier said than done. I have a scan at 9 weeks so towards the end of sept and I am trying not to book a 6 week scan!

Belle26 · 23/08/2023 16:59

I'm really panicking, I've just had some brown pinkish spotting. I don't know what to do or think. Has anyone else had spotting? I'm 5 +2 so I thought it's to late for implantation bleeding

MindatWork · 23/08/2023 19:11

Hi @Belle26 what progesterone support are you on? If it’s anything taken vaginally eg Crinone it can irritate the cervix and cause spotting - I had this in my last pregnancy and it drove me mad x

MindatWork · 23/08/2023 19:13

Sorry should introduce myself, I’ve been stalking the thread but too anxious to post the last couple of days.

I had a v faint positive on Monday at 6days past embryo transfer. Trying not to test again until Friday but I’m so impatient!

I have been kinda hoping that's what it could be, it did seem to happen a few hours after inserting the progesterone.

Congratulations too @MindatWork when is your official test date? I have everything crossed for you

MindatWork · 23/08/2023 20:12

Thank you - it’s next Tues 🤣.

We had lots of first trimester bleeding with DD and it was a really stressful time. I never hound any pregnancy threads before because it felt so odd to be reading posts from women buying their prams and car seats at 12 weeks - I was so envious!

Feeling a bit more resigned to it this time though - this second round of ivf was a last minute change of plan, we sold all our baby stuff last summer!

Do speak to your clinic about the spotting if you’re worried though x

Irish34 · 23/08/2023 21:16

all my talk of staying calm! I used a clear blue weeks indicator tonight and it’s showing 1-2 weeks. I know I ovulated 2 weeks ago (I ovulate day 19/20 of a 29 day cycle) I am worried now I am not progressing!

Maplestars · 23/08/2023 22:12

@Belle26 i actually just started bleeding today. Im fearing the worst tbh, because there’s a fair amount, but just trying to stay positive.
It’s out of my hands either way. I’ve been booked in for a scan the day I hit 6 weeks. But there’s quite a lot of blood at this point.
im just going to wait a few days and do another test I think.

lots of things online say not to worry and it can be normal, so in your case with just a small amount I’m sure you’re fine but do call them if you need reassurance

@Irish34 i don’t think they’re exactly right though, you could just be a day or so out, or even a bit too hydrated?! Maybe leave it a few days and try again

Finn33 · 23/08/2023 22:20

@Irish34 In my last pregnancy, I used the CB digital tests...on the Friday I had 2-3 and the following Sunday had 1-2....thought it was a sign of a chemical preg but thankfully all went well. Doctor told me not to pay attention to the day indicator....they aren't reliable and so many things can impact the result x

Irish34 · 23/08/2023 22:32

@Belle26 I hope your okay. It might just be implantation. I have friends who bleed and carried on a successful pregancy. When are you 6 weeks?

Irish34 · 23/08/2023 22:33

@Finn33 i know rationally I am thinking I am being ridiculous but in the evening when I have some time is always when I start randomly testing! The first few weeks are hard!

Finn33 · 23/08/2023 22:37

@Irish34 Totally understand. These first weeks are the hardest and you look for anything to get reassurance. I am thinking myself of booking in to get bloods done to check my HCG and then a couple of days later to see if it's increasing....did this with my baby girl too and it helped alot as I was so obsessed with line progression on my tests x

SDA23 · 23/08/2023 22:37

Hi guys hoping I can join! OP we have the same kind of due date! So I am quite early on! This is my 2nd pregnancy and the lack of symptoms is weird. With my DD I have horrendous symptoms from the get go. With this pregnancy I tested positive a week before AF was due. Having quite a few cramps and back pain so scared that it may not be good. Had a CP last month so quite scared tbh. Hoping all is well for all of us!
