Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

@Iamcatmum im feeling absolutely fine apart from cramping, and a bit of groin pain which I don't remember having in any other pregnancy... Early scan in 2 weeks at the epu so will see what happens. How far along are you?

bringmearainbow · 26/08/2023 09:38

@Iamcatmum I'm ok just some backache which I usually get in place of cramps as my uterus tilts backwards. Nausea usually starts around 6 weeks for me so I've got a couple of weeks grace hopefully 🤞🏼 I've been trying to get hold of the EPU but they've changed the phone system and I'm having no luck 🙄 think I might just pop down there later. Glad your cramping has stopped!

Nynm23 · 26/08/2023 11:32

thinking of @Maplestars and @Finn33 💕

Not much to report here other than thirst and subsequent broken sleep to pee multiple times a night. Have booked an early scan for 8th Sept which I’ll be around the 7-8 week mark.

Have a wedding weekend to attend on the 9th which I’m trying to think up excuses for no booze that doesn’t look obvious

Iamcatmum · 26/08/2023 15:37

@Kellyaust I had no idea cramping was a thing until coming on here, but seems quite common. I’m 5+1 according to my app! What about you? Hope your early scan all goes well

@bringmearainbow now is the time to enjoy some good food before the nausea hits then! I’ve had a tiny bit of nausea but not much yet, so waiting to see what happens at 6 weeks. I spoke too soon and ended up having some bad cramps earlier, but they didn’t last too long so that’s okay. Hope you manage to get in touch with EPU okay

@Nynm23 I’m totally the same with the drinks and wees! Although I needed to wee a lot before anyway so I’m doomed. Hope the early scan all goes well. Not much advice re. booze - my partner and I cut down a lot before getting pregnant so luckily people got used to us not drinking much. You could accept one drink to throw people off the scent and then casually put it down somewhere when nobody is looking (definitely done that before), or get something that looks alcoholic but isn’t - like a soda water with ice and slice?

Kellyaust · 26/08/2023 17:40

@Iamcatmum im 4+1 today so bloody nerve wracking now coz you tend to notice every little thing after a MC. Just trying my best to relax until my scan, thank you I'll probably have this one at 6 weeks and then if all goes well another at 8 weeks. I'll feel much better if I reach the 12 week scan this time xx

lenalove · 26/08/2023 17:58

Congrats @Kellyaust and @bringmearainbow I really hope all goes well for you!

I'm at 4+5 now, think I'll book a scan in next week for the 7 week mark or so. Luckily I don't really drink usually anyway so nobody will cotton on but my GOD am I missing coffee Grin cramps have died down for me too, the tiredness is the most constant thing along with the needing to pee (I went 5 times in one morning at work the other day eek!!)

Anotheranxiousone · 26/08/2023 18:59

You can drink coffee @lenalove just keep to less than 200mg a day. I have two espressos in the morning still - about 160mgs :)

Irish34 · 26/08/2023 19:53

I didn’t drink any coffee on my first pregnancy. I actually removed caffeine and alcohol while trying to get pregnant so by the time I was pregnant I was over the caffeine withdrawal. This time however I managed 24hrs and said no I can’t do this again for 9 months especially with a toddler I need coffee! I am having my coffee each morning. I couldn’t manage with out.

MindatWork · 26/08/2023 20:52

Yeah I’m still having a coffee in the morning, can’t do without (and that’s an ivf pregnancy, though it’s my second so a bit more laid back this time.

Ive had a lot of nausea today but could be the progesterone meds I’m on. I’m doing cheapie tests every other day and the lines are progressing nicely, but it still hasn’t really sunk in yet. Off all goes well we’ll have a scan at our clinic at around 7 weeks, but that’s around 3 weeks away - feels like an age 😫.

Hope those if you with cramps/bleeding are doing ok ❤️

Nynm23 · 29/08/2023 17:23

How is everyone doing?

I currently feel like I’m in waiting mode…I know somethings going to happen, so I can’t do/think of anything else. Very distracted 🙈

bringmearainbow · 29/08/2023 17:39

I'm just at the EPU for my first blood test atm. I'm exhausted and my back kills like a bitch. @Nynm23 it's very distracting I found myself like that last time. This time I think I've been too busy with other things to focus on it too much. Tbh it's taking a lot of thought remembering to take all my medication at the right times of the day 🙈

MindatWork · 29/08/2023 18:08

Good luck for your blood test @bringmearainbow - I’ve got one at my clinic on Thursday (hastily arranged form Friday due to train strikes 😵).

I’m feeling hideously bloated and have started waking for the day at approx 5.30 so am feeling proper rough after a day at work and nursery pick-up. We did our official test today and informed the clinic but it still doesn’t feel real…

Belle26 · 29/08/2023 18:22

Good luck with your bloods @bringmearainbow

I'm feeling so bloated today too @MindatWork
It actually hurts to bend over 😫 I'm having to live in leggings, thankfully I work from home so it isn't to bad

Iamcatmum · 29/08/2023 18:23

@Nynm23 same here, no idea what I’m supposed to be doing right now and mild panic starting to set in about how much there is to do/buy/learn and not knowing when or where to start!

Have you told any friends of family yet?

MindatWork · 29/08/2023 19:46

I’m freaking myself out with testing and need to stop. I’ve tested every day since day 7 after my embryo transfer and the lines got fairly a strong but haven’t progressed after the last few days so now I’m stressing. I bought a bunch of internet cheapies and it’s the worst thing I could have done 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🥺

Anyone else a test-a-Holic?!

This is me exactly. I've finally stopped testing everyday now I've just been doing a few a week. It's probably not the best thing to do but I can't stop. How far along are you now?

Nynm23 · 29/08/2023 20:19

Good luck for bloods @bringmearainbow I’m supposed to be super busy at work but I just can’t bring myself to focus. I’m hoping after scan in 2 weeks I’ll be a bit more settled and focused on other things!

Also feeling the bloat too!

@Iamcatmum i feel the same, I don’t want to get too deep into planning until the 12 week stage just in case.

I’ve told one friend, as I know she will take it to her grave before telling anyone. I’ve also told my boss to explain my lack of enthusiasm as I’ve had to stop some medications that help me at work and the necessary caffeine of course! We aren’t telling anyone else til after 12 weeks - MIL will not not tell anyone. I’m not super close to my mum and I know telling her will mean she will smother me with contact/visits. The longer we can avoid telling the better! Is that really bad?

bringmearainbow · 30/08/2023 09:49

@MindatWork I have been a test a holic quite a few times in the past but this time I only had about 8 strips and a couple of boots tests once they were done that was it for me I know if there are tests in the house I will just keep peeing on them 🤦🏼‍♀️

The bloat is bad makes me feel so gross too!

My first blood result came back at 987 I'll go for another on Thursday but I think it's probably rising ok I got first positive just over a week ago

MindatWork · 30/08/2023 12:57

@bringmearainbow that sounds like a good number! Hope it's set your mind at rest.

@Belle26 I think I'm just under 5 weeks so super duper early! If all goes well with my blood test I'll be booked in for a scan with the clinic at around 7 weeks so am just trying to be chill. The 5am wake ups aren't helping though, or the bloating. I'm currently trying to hide my beach ball stomach at my desk...

I've told my mum and sisters but no-one else so far; we want to wait until we've had a scan before we share the news any further. It's a VERY emotional time as DD is starting school next week so lots of feelings flying around!

Hope everyone is going ok x

lenalove · 30/08/2023 13:32

I am also feeling the bloat (...and the gas 😬) but the main thing for me is commuting to work and then almost falling asleep at my desk on a daily basis! I am only 5+2 so too early to tell them! Just booked in a scan for 7 weeks privately and NHS one is now scheduled for 12 weeks, feeling rather real! Just need to (anxiously) wait until then...

We have told parents and inlaws but that's it for now til 12 weeks I reckon!

Albrook · 30/08/2023 16:04

i'm around 6w2days now, ive finally got my dye stealers this week. when did you stop testing? we've got a private scan booked for when i'll be 7w and 4 days. symptom wise i've just had a little nausea with tender breasts consistently. other things have come and gone.

Irish34 · 30/08/2023 16:24

I need to stop testing. I have done about 5 clear blue week indicators. They are 25euro for two here! It’s getting out of control. I am 5w3d but based on ovulation I think I am only 5 weeks today. I go on holidays tomorrow and was hoping for a 3+ week on the clear blue but I didn’t get it today.

JR94 · 30/08/2023 17:30

Hi ladies,
I think I’ll be due 2nd May. We have a 3 and a half year old. Just feeling super tired and anxious so far xx

wishuponastar2018 · 30/08/2023 19:16

Hey hows everyone. I think i am around 5+ weeks but to scared to look up due date.

Trigger warning baby loss

I haven't got a good history my last pregnancy ended in a mmc at 14 week, i have another late miscarriage, a still birth and multiple early miscarriages.

I have only done two test so proud of myself, but my symptoms spotting is driving me nuts 🙈. I was so sick in my last pregnancy

naggy095 · 31/08/2023 07:11

Hi everyone, I’m 4+1 today but got a BFP at only 8dpo! And then got 2-3 weeks on a CB yesterday so I’m feeling optimistic. Had an early MC start of August at 5 weeks so I got pregnant again straight away, which I feel very lucky about but also extremely anxious that somethings going to go wrong again. I’ve been getting some pretty strong cramping past couple days which I had last time so again I’m thinking the worst 😩 just hope this is a sticky one 🤞🏼I’ll be doing another CB digi in about a week hoping to see a 3+, last time it went from 2-3 to 1-2 so the anxiety I’ll feel waiting for the result to come will be sky high!
my due date is 8th May but I had my daughter at 37 weeks due to complications so this baby could be coming sooner
