Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

Hey girls!!

She's here!!

She arrived at the very last minute on Monday night! Waters ended up breaking spontaneously in the end and I was only in active labour for around 3 hours!

Meet, my daughter, Paige 💕💕💕💕💕

Best of luck to everyone with their new babies! Xx

HopeAndChocolate · 22/04/2024 14:51

Gosh this weird limbo period is quite something isn’t it. 🙈 Just under two weeks till my ‘due date’ and it’s so wild to me that it could literally be tomorrow or another month! How is everyone else coping?!

Iamcatmum · 23/04/2024 12:31

@HopeAndChocolate Our little fella made an appearance on Friday! He came at 39+1, which was such a surprise as had convinced myself he’d be late. Didn’t get to have our induction date night Indian! 😂

HopeAndChocolate · 23/04/2024 12:46

Oh my gosh @Iamcatmum!! Congratulations! 😍 How are you feeling? I hope you’ll still have a celebration Indian! 😂

Iamcatmum · 23/04/2024 19:20

@HopeAndChocolate thank you so much. Had a really positive birth, so feeling very fortunate on that front. Touch of the baby blues and a bit sore down there and my boobs as well. Will deffo have a celebration curry but will maybe postpone until a bit more healed, as don’t want to risk a spicy poop right now 😂

Nynm23 · 24/04/2024 04:05

Congratulations @Iamcatmum enjoy every minute of the newborn snuggles!
@HopeAndChocolate hopefully not too much longer to go for you!

We’ve just made weight back to birth weight and had our first outing into town - a success! Missing not being able to drive but can’t find who my insurance is with to check their policy on driving post c section 😂

ttcthoughts · 24/04/2024 07:10

@GLC789 @Iamcatmum @Nynm23 Congratulations All of you :) enjoy the new born snuggles <3
how are you all finding it?

HopeAndChocolate · 25/04/2024 08:32

So glad to hear that @Iamcatmum! 😍 And haha yes on second thoughts that’s probably a good idea to save the curry haha. 🙈

Thank you @Nynm23 - baby has dropped so particularly uncomfortable right now ha.

You doing ok @ttcthoughts? x

Irish34 · 25/04/2024 11:35

My little one was born last night! Little girl Madeline. Born at 38 weeks 2 days due to static growth we where induced. All well and she is 7 pounds 5 so no issue with growth!

GLC789 · 26/04/2024 18:00

Congratulations to everyone else who's bundle has arrived!

Sorry I have been MIA, little one has certainly kept me busy!

Perhaps we need a new thread once all our babies are here!? I'm no good at setting them up 👀 x

Congratulations @Irish34 - what a lovely name! Hope you’re doing ok! How was induction out of interest?

Irish34 · 26/04/2024 21:42

Induction was actually fine. I had the first gel Tuesday night at 2200, second gel at 4am. Nothing happened with those so by 1pm the next day they had to break my waters. Sounds like a long wait but I wasn’t in pain I was just sitting in bed waiting on something to happen. My waters being broke was actually fine. Just like a sweep really. I was put on the drip at 3pm as nothing really was happening. At 6pm after 3 hours of building contractions I was given my epidural. I went off to sleep for over an hour and my husband went out for dinner and at the next check at 8pm the head was down and nearly out. I pushed twice and my baby was here. Mostly I just spent the time sitting in bed.

ttcthoughts · 30/04/2024 08:13

@HopeAndChocolate im doing good thank you 39 weeks today. Have a scan and consultant appointment today and wfh this week! How are you getting on?

congrats to all of you that have had your babies ❤️

HopeAndChocolate · 30/04/2024 08:51

Amazing news @Irish34! So nice to hear a positive induction story.

@ttcthoughts Ahh are you still working? You rock star! Even wfh towards the end I struggled and I have a pretty chill job ha. Hope the scan goes well, let us know!

I’m 39+2 today and don’t have anything booked in apart from a midwife appointment at 40+5. It feels very weird just being left to my own devices, waiting to go into labour. Just trying to make the most of mat leave and get lots of rest though it’s hard not questioning every ache and twinge! x

ttcthoughts · 30/04/2024 08:56

@HopeAndChocolate i finish on Thursday when I will be 39+3 I think. I had
midwife for a sweep on Thursday too. So hopefully all will work out over the weekend.

how are you finding maternity xx

HopeAndChocolate · 30/04/2024 09:31

@ttcthoughts Oh good, not too long then! 🤞🏻Yeah I’ve loved it! Last week I had a few bits and bobs I wanted to do and this week is all about relaxing which has been much needed.

What made you decide to go for a sweep out of interest? xx

ttcthoughts · 30/04/2024 10:08

@HopeAndChocolate not too long and reality is I’m just plodding along rather than full blown work.

umm basically because I’m overly curious 😂😂 that is the only reason. This is our last baby and I wanted to just have that experience. 🙈🙈 I’m very much for a total natural birth again this time but I also wanted to know how it felt 🙈🙈 xx

HopeAndChocolate · 30/04/2024 12:02

@ttcthoughts Oh that’s good! And at least you’ll get to make the use of the mat leave when baby is actually here!

Oh wow that’s the first time I’ve heard that haha but good for you! Will be interested to hear how you find it! xx

barbiecharley1 · 02/05/2024 08:53
