Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

how exciting. i had mine last week and i feel good after.

we still don't know what we are having as baby kept its legs crossed. haha
lucky we have another chance next week though as they didn't manage to take all the measurements needed. i also think i've just started to feel baby move around, such tiny little movements. Smile

Plumful · 22/12/2023 22:18

I’m in absolute agony with PGP 😢

GLC789 · 22/12/2023 22:49

@HopeAndChocolate thank you! The flutters are stronger every day! I'm hoping to see real movement soon!

@Plumful - so sorry you're in pain. I don't know if I have something going on with this too. I've mentioned to midwives a few times but they just keep saying round ligament pain. But genuinely when I try to take a step I could fall down with pain. Don't get me started on getting in and out of the car!? - are these the things you are experiencing? Xx

Plumful · 23/12/2023 08:06

@GLC789 where is the pain?

PGP can be at the back or front, there is lots of info online about it, don’t be fobbed off.

GLC789 · 23/12/2023 08:39

@Plumful it's mostly right hand side. Groin, hip, side of bump and even down the butt and leg sometimes! But yesterday after spring cleaning the house, it was blinking everywhere, both sides. I had to lay in bed for an hour or two! X

HopeAndChocolate · 23/12/2023 08:58

How did your scan go @Irish34? It’s funny, I have an anterior placenta but I’ve still felt baby move a lot more/sooner than I was expecting! Maybe he’s extra forceful or something. 😅

Plumful · 23/12/2023 09:08

@GLC789 that does sound like PGP. It’s often worse on one side. Request referral to physio asap.

GLC789 · 23/12/2023 09:33

@Plumful i will! Thank you. Knew it was more than just round ligament pain xx

Irish34 · 23/12/2023 13:26

@HopeAndChocolate scan went well. No issues which is great. Baby is measuring a lot smaller than my 1st but nothing in a concerning range so that’s good. I was glad to get the scan done before Christmas. Although I was so anxious in the lead up to the 20 week scan on my first I was suprised how calm I was before this scan.

Obione1 · 07/01/2024 11:42

Hi Ladies,
I'm expecting twins about the 25th April,
Had my 20 week scan all good - except T2's femur was looking a bit small. We decided to do the NIPT test & the sonographer there said he'd grown in a week and she sees no concerns. However, we got the bloods back from the NIPT and it's saying High Risk for downs.
The 12 week test came back clear and all the scans are fine, so I just don't know what to do.
I'm waiting on an amnio at Kings, but is anyone else in the same boat? It's so difficult, I'm 22+6 today & they're wriggling around all the time and kicking me lots

ttcthoughts · 11/01/2024 10:24

@Obione1 hey lovely, I have just seen this. how did it go? sorry you are having to go through this <3 I can not imagine what you are going through

Plumful · 11/01/2024 13:08

Wow this thread is so dead isn’t it! How’s everyone?

Iamcatmum · 13/01/2024 16:31

@Obione1 -sorry you’re going through such a stressful time - hope you’re doing okay. Wishing a positive outcome for you x

GLC789 · 14/01/2024 22:14

Hope all is ok @Obione1?

Hi everyone. Been a while since I was online. Work has been, well, typical for January 😂.

How is everyone?

Me:

Moments, real ones, have started. Husband got his first experience of a little "roll" as he called it the other day with his hand on my belly. Also, finally heard baby's heart beat after the disappointment of the midwife not having a listen on the 16 wk Appt!

Maternity Leave dates agreed with work - it's all starting to feel so real!

Still haven't purchased so much as a baby grow for our girl yet 😭👀.

Read no further if you don't want TMI

Piles, yay! 😭. Unbelievably uncomfortable and a permanent itchy bumhole 🤔. Anyone else experience this in current or previous pregnancy? Help! I've got the cream which helps the pain etc, but the itching is literally destroying my soul! X

Plumful · 14/01/2024 22:20

@GLC789 luckily I have never had it in either pregnancy, it sounds awful. Next clearance online have some lovely sleepsuits!

GLC789 · 14/01/2024 22:23

@Plumful I sincerely hope you never have to experience it my love 😭😂. It's utter chaos! Wouldn't wish it on anyone less than Donald Trump tbh.

I think I really should get online and order some bits while January sales are still on lol!

What have you bought so far? X

Plumful · 14/01/2024 22:27

@GLC789 as this is my second hardly anything but I absolutely love Next baby clothes and the sale is great. So def recommend having a look and getting sleepsuits in various sizes.

Nynm23 · 15/01/2024 10:32

Quiet here, sadly lost my brother over Christmas so trying to limit stress and anxiety for the sake of baby. Keeping myself busy with getting the house ready for baby.

Worst pregnancy complaint at the minute is some back pain and still dealing with metallic mouth..haribo tangfastics are the only thing to counteract the penny taste!

Plumful · 15/01/2024 13:26

For any first time mums I really recommend the extended rear facing car seat group on Facebook, it’s been so educational around good car seats. @Nynm23 so sorry to hear that, must be so hard for you.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sending hugs.

Oh yeah, do you remember what it feels like to not have back pain? Yeah, me either! I've found warm (not hot) baths to really help. And putting a cushion between my knees when laying!
