Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

@GLC789 Congradulations. I am thrilled for you! That’s great news.

Nynm23 · 09/11/2023 15:34

@GLC789 congratulations, great news!

im just back from 16 week appointment- very underwhelming. No listening to heartbeat to after 20 weeks in my area!

That's so disappointing! My 16 week is Tuesday I'm hoping they will listen! The nhs website suggests so!

How long was your appointment? What did she actually do/check? X

Nynm23 · 09/11/2023 21:48

@GLC789 blood pressure and urine sample, asked how I was mentally and booked my 25 week appointment. Totally unnecessary appointment imo - about 15 mins, took me longer to find somewhere to park!

I think it must vary by trust as a friend who’s in a different trust did get to listen.

I suppose I have some reassurance that all is well as I’m still being sick and I’ve started to feel flutters, but it would have been nice to get a listen just for some certainty.

GLC789 · 09/11/2023 21:50

@Nynm23 oh I am gutted for you! But congrats on the flutters! My hands permanently rest in my belly now as I'm just waiting for flutters! Thought I had one yesterday! Then I did a huge fluff two mins later, so I guess it was just gas 😂😂😂 X

Plumful · 10/11/2023 08:33

Thank you all. I didn’t have any more spotting or cramps so decided to leave it, and I’m a lot calmer.

Irish34 · 10/11/2023 10:58

@Nynm23 I had a GP appointment yesterday at 15 weeks and she refused to use the doopler in case she couldn’t find the heartbeat and it caused panic. I said no it’s fine can you just see can you hear it and she said no! I was very annoyed. She said not unless I was 16 weeks.

I am in Ireland and a private patient so I have a scan in 10 days so it’s not the end of the world but it still annoyed me.

Nynm23 · 10/11/2023 11:51

@Irish34 I’m in N.I and seems to be trust specific whether they do or not up here. Seems like a logical enough reason, but some earlier warning would have been nice so you’re not expecting it.

I’ve still not convinced the other half into another private scan, he’s happy to wait until 20 week..🙄I’m honestly just busting to find out if they’re a boy or girl! 😂

Oh so glad you're OK! Xxxx

Due1stmay · 10/11/2023 15:10

How’s everyone sleeping? I usually sleep on my tummy and trying this week to shift to my side (am 15+2 now) but really struggling with it. Can’t find any actually information about sleeping on your tummy at this stage. Any ideas? Tips?! Thank you ☺️

HopeAndChocolate · 10/11/2023 18:22

Eek @GLC789 how exciting, a little girl! I was tempted by an early scan for the gender but our 20 week scan is 13th December which feels like quite a nice time. 🥰 I also someone on Instagram who was given the wrong result. 🙈

Glad you’re feeling better @Plumful - this pregnancy stuff is scary!

GLC789 · 10/11/2023 18:31

@HopeAndChocolate, we didn't have a scan my lovely, it was via blood tests so very accurate.

Aww! Our 20 week scan is 12th December! So close to yours!! Xxx

HopeAndChocolate · 10/11/2023 18:34

Oh no I know @GLC789 blood tests are definitely the way forward. Just meant some of the early scans you can get out there! Though I imagine it was fairly rare ha.

Oh really how lovely! 🥰

lenalove · 11/11/2023 10:36

Hi ladies, noticed a tiny speck of pink blood on tissue when I wiped this morning and now panicking a bit. I have had on and off thrush so wondering if linked to that... do you think I should do anything? X

Oh I'm so, sorry I didn't see this, crazy week in work!

I do hope you're OK xxx

lenalove · 17/11/2023 18:06

Aw thanks @GLC789 ! Luckily turned out to just be a one off and nothing to worry about phew!

Had a gender scan today, went in fully convinced it was a baby boy only to find out she's a little girl! My intuition clearly is crap!!! Halloween Grin anyway, very happy! Hope all good with you x

GLC789 · 17/11/2023 18:17

@lenalove eeeeeeeeep! Welcome to team PINK!! So happy for you! We were convinced ours was a boy too based on old wives tales... But nope! Baby girl! Xx

Iamcatmum · 18/11/2023 12:20

@lenalove glad all is okay and congrats you’re having a girly 😊. We have a private scan next week as well, so hoping baba is in a good position to find out what we’re having too x

Nynm23 · 18/11/2023 14:34

@Iamcatmum i finally got got a private scan booked, went this morning. Low and behold, baby not playing ball - didn’t budge and actually gave us the fingers ✌️

Nynm23 · 18/11/2023 14:38

@lenalove I’m convinced I’m having a girl, and secretly hoping for one as we can not agree on a single boys name! 😂

HopeAndChocolate · 18/11/2023 18:11

Lots of good baby deals at the moment! Has anyone started anything yet? Any ideas on pushchairs etc? I’m struggling to choose, it’s a minefield out there! 😳

Plumful · 18/11/2023 20:33

Glad everyone is well. I’m struggling because two friends have just lost their babies at different points in their pregnancies. One at 24 weeks.

Plumful · 18/11/2023 20:34

@HopeAndChocolate i didn’t buy anything until after my 20 week scan with my first but everyone is different.

Irish34 · 18/11/2023 20:41

@HopeAndChocolate I waited till after my 20
week scan on my 1st. I have pretty much everything from my 1st. I have the bugaboo fox and cybex infant carrier and love them both! I do need a travel cot and bottles. That’s about it. I am going to wait till after my 20 week scan this time too. I also need new mattresses for my next to me etc.
