Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

Rang at lunch @GLC789 and they said it’ll be the community midwife who books that appointment but bloods will be taken at the scan.

Ugh it’s rotten isn’t it? For me it’s nausea, morning sickness and good old fatigue continuing. 🙈 My appetite isn’t the best but that seems to come and go!

Ah yes of course @ttcthoughts - forgot we’re around the same time! Hopefully sooner rather than later. 🤞🏻

ttcthoughts · 20/09/2023 15:09

@HopeAndChocolate How are you feeling?

HopeAndChocolate · 20/09/2023 15:19

Ehhh I’m ok-ish thanks @ttcthoughts - life just seems to be a mixture of nausea, occasional morning sickness and tiredness. Also just eating what I can stomach at the moment just to get some food in me!

How you holding up? xx

lenalove · 20/09/2023 15:24

Thanks @Cinai and @GLC789 xxx
I've not asked for any medication or anything as I don't know if I'd be offered any if I'm not actually throwing up? I might try though because this is really debilitating Sad

I had by booking appointment last week (due to them miscalculating my dates) and it lasted about an hour. I went with my husband and they basically asked us loads of questions, took a urine sample and some bloods from me. My midwife was brilliant and really took the time to go through my questions so all in all it was helpful.

Irish34 · 20/09/2023 16:07

@lenalove i had that two weeks ago! Made worse by the fact I caught a vomiting bug from my daughter. It’s very hard. Say it to your GP because mine told me they will put you on medication if it’s all day nausea.

lenalove · 20/09/2023 17:24

@Irish34 thank you that's really good to know! I am a little nervous about taking medication but am struggling to function so may have to just do it...

Irish34 · 20/09/2023 17:57

@lenalove I would take something if your experiencing non stop nausea. That’s a form of torture. I had a week of it and my day 7 I was crying to my husband.

Plumful · 20/09/2023 18:11

@lenalove how many weeks are you?
I had that with my first and it was lockdown so couldn’t get any help but I was so so so miserable. Hugs.

lenalove · 20/09/2023 18:52

@Plumful around 8wks, it's so tough isn't it, can only imagine how grim in lockdown too! X

ttcthoughts · 20/09/2023 20:04

@HopeAndChocolate faurly similar I feel terrible but also greatful. I haven’t been sick yet but the nausea is soo bad

Juice27 · 20/09/2023 21:23

Honestly I can’t recommend getting meds off the doctor for the nausea enough!! I was suffering all day and just couldn’t function I’ve had tablets for a week now and while it doesn’t take it away completely I do feel 90% better for most of the day!

lenalove · 20/09/2023 22:00

@Juice27 I'm going to try and ring them tomorrow I think! What is it you are taking? X

Juice27 · 20/09/2023 22:18

@lenalove I think it’s called Cyclizine - I take it three times a day and it’s been such a help - there’s no point suffering if you don’t have to!

lenalove · 21/09/2023 10:10

Thanks all for your advice, just got Cyclizine prescribed by my GP who agreed all day nausea was untenable! Fingers crossed it works, will update you😊definitely feeling a bit more positive now.

Bourne90 · 21/09/2023 22:00

Hi all, I'm 6+2 with my second. Just got confirmation of a little bean with a heartbeat after an early ectopic scare (the corpus went cystic instead). Not really been having many symptoms except picking up every illness under the sun and all day nausea. Cyclizine makes me vomit (the irony) so last time I snacked constantly. This time, I can't snack because I'm doing invisalign but I've found the sea band mama! wristbands to be an absolute miracle. They're only like £9 too 😄

I've just ordered these! Thanks for sharing x

Juice27 · 22/09/2023 18:21

@lenalove how are you feeling today with tablets?

lenalove · 22/09/2023 18:24

@Juice27 I've only taken 3 so far (one last night and 2 today spaced out) and I think they might have helped a little!! They've totally knocked me out so had a 4 hour nap this afternoon but I'll take that over sickness any day!! Grin

Plumful · 24/09/2023 12:52

8 weeks now. Feeling tired but overall not too bad. Eating like a horse still. How’s everyone?

Cinai · 24/09/2023 13:50

6 weeks today! I was incredibly tired yesterday and low level nausea comes and goes, but still very manageable 😅 Excited for my first private scan this week’

Twinkles18 · 24/09/2023 14:14

@Cinai iv booked a scan for this week too! Il be 6+1 or 6+2 tomorrow depending on what app I look at lol. Has anyone had a scan at either 6+1 or 6+2 and seen their baby’s heartbeat?❤️
hoping I’m not too early but don’t have another chance to get one before I go on holiday x

Nynm23 · 24/09/2023 14:26

9 weeks today and still exhausted, still starving always. Nausea less frequent.

Off back to bed for a nap. Sending thoughts to those with toddlers & terrible sickness no idea how you manage!

KatieJ345 · 24/09/2023 14:43

Just over 9 weeks and also hungry always! I know I’m starving but also the thought of most food makes me feel nauseous. I seem to be okay with sweet things though.

Iamcatmum · 24/09/2023 15:28

9+2 today. Been feeling a bit tired, nauseous and dry heaving several times a day. Got my booking appointment tomorrow - for some reason I’m feeling nervous about it as not sure what to expect. Guess it makes things all a bit more official as well

HopeAndChocolate · 24/09/2023 15:59

8 weeks today for me! I have days where I feel fine and then others when I have nausea all day (like today) or a couple of rounds of morning sickness. Also have a big aversion to beef and anything with strong smells.

Private early scan on Wednesday which I’m excited about, even though I know we won’t see much with baby currently being a jelly baby. 😅

Have a two day work event tomorrow which involves two four hour trains and lots of socialising plus a wedding on Friday and I’m feeling nervous about navigating any possibly symptoms without letting on that we’re expecting. 😬
