Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

@Irish34 how many weeks are you?

Irish34 · 15/09/2023 08:21

@Plumful per my last period I am 8 weeks tomorrow. However I ovulate day 20 of a 29 day cycle so I am measuring 7 weeks tomorrow.

Plumful · 15/09/2023 10:30

Oh gosh so early to feel so sick. This was me last time. I suffered from virtually day one.
I am nearly seven weeks and I would barely know I was pregnant which is worrying me a little because this is so different to last time.

Irish34 · 15/09/2023 11:39

The 1st 12 weeks are so hard I think. You either feel shocking and want to get past the first few weeks or you have no symptoms and you are worried! I am feeling better today than all week. Still a bit weak and too much motion makes me a bit nauseas. Instead of being happy I can move a bit I am now worried! I really thought second time around I would be calmer!!

Kellyaust · 15/09/2023 12:10

Hi ladies I was sent to epu this morning my epu nurse wanted to have a check over me because my symptoms disappeared yesterday suddenly and also lower back pain, I had both these things in may when I had an MC. And other successful pregnancies I've been sicl from 6 to 12 weeks.

But all is fine, baby has grown immensely since last week it's crazy to see the difference, last week baby was 2.3mm at 6 weeks. Now 9.3mm bang on 7 weeks so all great. So if your symptoms aren't usual or keep coming and going try not to worry 🤞

I think I’m going to combine booking appointment with a private scan

HopeAndChocolate · 15/09/2023 15:34

So glad everything is ok @Kellyaust and wow that is a huge growth, how amazing!

HopeAndChocolate · 15/09/2023 15:36

Nausea sadly graduated to morning sickness yesterday. 🤢 Did not enjoy, naturally! Even worse, we were on a flight this morning for a short holiday and I ended up vomming into a paper bag. Pregnancy is sooo glam! 😅

lenalove · 15/09/2023 16:52

That's lovely news @Kellyaust Smile fantastic growth! I have my first scan at 10am tomorrow eek trying to calm my nerves.....!

Cinai · 15/09/2023 17:07

I hope everyone is doing alright (despite nausea!). Too early for me for nausea, but I’m experiencing low level one-sided pain on the left side where my ovaries are and my health anxiety has kicked in 🙁 Is this normal or a case for 111 for a suspected ectopic pregnancy? The pain is light and not permanent….similar to pain I sometimes experienced before my period started or around ovulation. Still I’m panicking now that it might be ectopic…will there be any clear signs (such as unbearable pain?) that make it obvious that something is going wrong, or is light one sided pain already cause for concern?

Kellyaust · 15/09/2023 17:14

Thank you @HopeAndChocolate and sorry about your sickness it's absolutely the worst part isn't it.

And @lenalove thank you yes great growth I'm so pleased I can relax for the weekend now, good luck for tomorrow make sure you update 🤞

GLC789 · 15/09/2023 18:26

I just don't want to eat.

6+5

Has anyone else felt so repulsed by the thought of eating?

Every time I go into the kitchen to think about food u run away at the very thought.

I've had one Sandwhich today and I just cannot stomach anything else. Now I'm feeling insane guilt that I'm not getting my nutrients in.

Looking for some reassurance/encouragement today.

Irish34 · 15/09/2023 18:31

@GLC789 i was told by my midwife this week don’t worry about food. Even if all I could manage was tea and toast that’s fine. Just keep hydrated. Your pregnancy vitamins will be giving you nutrients. And the baby will pull from your reserves anyway!

Plumful · 15/09/2023 19:06

@GLC789 that was me last time. I survived on crisps, cheese and crackers. Eat whatever you can even if it’s junk.

Nynm23 · 15/09/2023 19:24

God all I can do is eat, I’m like Pac-Man! But it’s keeping the sickness and nausea at bay. So I’ll be going no where near any scales for the foreseeable!

GLC789 · 15/09/2023 19:55

@Nynm23 its only today I've felt like this so far. But it's shocked me as I'm such a foodie normally. I thought I'd be munching all day every day by now 😂

@Plumful @Irish34 - thank you. Tea and toast actually sounds OK. I'll send hubby to the kitchen right now!

Plumful · 15/09/2023 21:14

The food aversion was just awful in my first pregnancy, I had headaches 24/7 due to not eating or drinking enough. Over the last few days I’ve found myself having to snack every couple of hours or I feel faint and sick. I also found I could stomach nesquik last time so was getting some calories in at least.

HopeAndChocolate · 16/09/2023 08:26

Sounds like our symptoms have matched up @GLC789 as I too am off food! It’s kinda sad too as I’m missing out on lots of gorgeous food on this holiday and having to hunt out really basic stuff to see if I can even manage to stomach that. 🙈

lenalove · 16/09/2023 10:26

Just finished up at the scan, everything fine with a nice strong heartbeat Smile measuring at 7wks bang on instead of 7+3 but they said that's normal especially if you have irregular cycles! Phew!

GLC789 · 16/09/2023 20:04

@HopeAndChocolate we really have been quite synced through this haven't we! Hopefully it'll pass ASAP. But yes, the blander the better for me atm!

Kellyaust · 16/09/2023 20:26

@lenalove great news on the scan, we are literally 1 day apart then 🎉🎉

lenalove · 16/09/2023 20:30

@Kellyaust aww yay love that!

@GLC789 good luck, let us know how it goes xx

EstieGreenwood · 16/09/2023 22:21

@Cinai: I had this a bit last week on the left side, then it moved over to the right, too, and this week it’s gone! I didn’t have any other worrying symptoms, so made myself chalk it up to normal growing and stretching pains. Hope that helps ❤️
