Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

@iru96 same here - the only time I don’t feel sick is while I’m actually eating, but as soon as I stop eating I’m feeling sick and hungry again

bringmearainbow · 12/09/2023 09:49

@HopeAndChocolate the only thing that helped my nausea previously has been eating I loved like cheesy Nairn crackers dry but this time round eating has made me feel sick 🙈

I got on the scales this morning because I feel ginormous and I've not really been good with what I've been eating but I actually haven't put any weight on which seems crazy to me I feel about 200 stone😂 I'm living off mash potatoe atm I can't stop eating it

bringmearainbow · 13/09/2023 11:26

Anyone else's symptoms coming and going?

lenalove · 13/09/2023 11:28

Had my first midwife appointment yesterday where I was told they'd calculated me as 8w+4 instead of the 7w+1 I think I am 😅I explained to them I have 42 day+ cycles but they refused to budge even though what they are saying is based on LMP in a "normal" cycle and totally impossible for me!! Went round in circles arguing with them! Have an early scan on Sat at what I think will be 7+4 but I am now second guessing the whole thing... Has anyone else experienced this??

lenalove · 13/09/2023 11:30

@bringmearainbow the nausea is sadly pretty much constant now 😑cramps and tender boobs on and off though!

bringmearainbow · 13/09/2023 11:36

@lenalove ive found I think because they follow nice guidelines they don't take much notice of when we have irregular cycles. I tend to work out when my last lmp would be as if I had a 28 day cycle. I think the nhs don't take much stock into any dates etc until 12 week scan and then that's what they go off. It's frustrating but suppose they have to follow guidelines.

I'm having a bad couple of days just have this feeling it's over. I'm not expecting to see a HB next week. My symptoms were very consistent especially nausea with my DS but my nausea is really coming and going this time I've had none for 2 days 🙈

Anyone else's symptoms coming and going?

Some yes, some no.

Boobs are on and off, either dull ache or horrifically painful
But the nausea is almost constant 😭. No being sick, just wanting to be.

Irish34 · 13/09/2023 14:57

Has anyone been prescribed stemetil while pregnant? I was given it on Monday as I had constant nausea and then caught my 2 year olds stomach bug. I have taken 4 tablets so far. Googled the drug today and it says don’t take it pregnant!!

Juice27 · 13/09/2023 15:15

Hi, I’m due 30th April based on LMP with baby no. 2!
My nausea has been constant the past two weeks and with me being self-employed and having a nearly three year old to look after I was really struggling so phoned the docs yesterday and they said the would prescribe something. Went to pick it up and it wasn’t ready of course! However my partner has been given stemetil for his sickness/dizziness with low blood pressure so last night I was really struggling and took one (after Googling and said it was fine for pregnancy) but when I read the leaflet after it said not to take when pregnant 😢 it worked so well for me though and the actual tablets I’ve been given don’t work half as well 😭

Irish34 · 13/09/2023 15:22

@Juice27 i was give. Stemtil by a GP. Waiting on my midwife to call me and tell me if I am ok to take them. I have taken 4 and I am panicking. NHS website says they are ok?!

Juice27 · 13/09/2023 15:24

Yes I’m confused too please let me know what they say as they have taken all nausea away completely - did they work for you?

Irish34 · 13/09/2023 15:32

Kinda. I had very low blood pressure and wasn’t sure if it was pregnancy nausea or the fact I think I had a stomach bug. I feel better today I can eat again but still nauseas on and off. To be honest I have a very bad feeling about this pregnancy I just don’t feel it’s going well and now I am worried I have taken this!

bringmearainbow · 13/09/2023 15:33

@GLC789 my boobs are so so painful constantly 🙈 though that might be the progesterone doing that it's my nausea that's coming and going

Juice27 · 13/09/2023 15:42

@Irish34 I was like that with my first but this one I feel like I don’t even have time to worry because I’m so sick/busy! Im going to phone GP in the morning to see if I can keep taking his tablets/get some prescribed

Irish34 · 13/09/2023 18:10

@Juice27 midwife called me back, she said stemitel isn’t the first port of call they use now a days for nausea. She said she thinks my GP gave it to me as I was so sick with a suspected bug also. To be honest it’s not working for me anyway. I took one today and have been empty reaching since 4pm. She mentioned when I came in next week for my early scan if I am still unwell they will change the medication. She said it would be ok for short term use.

Plumful · 13/09/2023 20:12

I’m seven weeks tomorrow and I’m noticing I’m starting to feel sick if it’s been too long since my last snack. Just craving beige and salty

KatieJ345 · 13/09/2023 20:34

When is it typical to have the first NHS check up where they take bloods etc? I’m not booked in until 9 and a half weeks which I thought was late.

lenalove · 13/09/2023 20:38

@KatieJ345 I had mine yesterday at 7wks but I think only because according to their records I'm 8+4 Confused 9 weeks totally normal!

KatieJ345 · 13/09/2023 20:40

@Plumful @lenalove thank you! I think I went earlier last time so wasn’t sure what was normal.

Plumful · 13/09/2023 20:47

I guess they don’t want to do it too early due to miscarriage

Iamcatmum · 14/09/2023 17:47

I’ve been eating so much the last few weeks, I’m really worried about gaining too much weight. I’ve already put on 4/5lb by 8 weeks 😬 need to try and sort myself out with more of a food routine and healthy snacks from tomorrow

lenalove · 14/09/2023 18:29

@Iamcatmum same Shock when I got weighed at the clinic I was like ??? It's so hard though because the only things I feel like eating are stodgy carbs!

Irish34 · 14/09/2023 21:05

Nothing is working for me. The nuasua is all day. No let up. Gets worse as the day goes on. By the evening After I get my little girl to bed I am unable to move.

Iamcatmum · 14/09/2023 21:12

@lenalove glad I’m not the only one 😅. Bread, crackers, cereal, potato - all the good stuff. Going to try and start the day with something a bit healthier tomorrow and see if that helps
