Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

@Plumful I feel the same and am worried about this. A little nausea if I haven’t eaten in a long time but that’s it.

Plumful · 09/09/2023 18:50

@KatieJ345 i had such terrible nausea with my first that this is unusual for me! Instead of being glad I’m just worried.

KatieJ345 · 09/09/2023 18:53

@Plumful it’s so hard not to worry isn’t it. I had lots of nausea from week 5 onwards last time though it ended in a MMC at 10 weeks. But I have heard symptoms are different in every pregnancy.

SDA23 · 09/09/2023 19:07

Hey guys! So glad I’m reading all the positivity in this thread! Well I had an early scan thinking I’d be only 6 weeks (LMP due date would be 4th May) seems that I’m way off and I’m due 28th April. Don’t know how to feel about this. But was so lovely see baby! Pregnancy is definitely different than my DD, was eating everything and anything with her and with this little bean, having food aversions to everything! My nausea has kicked in but isn’t as bad as it was with DD. Hope everyone is feeling good and well!

Irish34 · 09/09/2023 21:50

@Plumful was your first a girl? They say no morning sickness is a boy! I mean I know this isn’t science but maybe symthoms are different as the sex is different!

Plumful · 09/09/2023 22:00

@Irish34 yes she was but some of my friends have had horrendous nausea with their boys

MindatWork · 10/09/2023 07:54

@Kellyaust @naggy095 @Irish34 @Nynm23 great news on the scans, hope they’ve put your minds at rest ❤️.

Im just killing time until my early scan at the ivf clinic next Friday, when I’ll be just over 7weeks. There’s a nationwide shortage of one of my meds at the moment and I’ve been running round pharmacies trying to find someone with stock, so that’s been fun.

Not enjoying this heat either - can’t wait for it to break on Tuesday 😬😬😬. My symptoms keep coming and going but I’m still awake at 5.30 every morning and my boobs are getting MASSIVE so am keeping my fingers crossed everything’s ok.

bringmearainbow · 10/09/2023 08:27

@MindatWork oh no what meds are you short on? I'm killing time too got to wait 1.5 weeks for my scan 🙄 feels like forever! My boobs are ginormous and so sore I can't work out if it's the progesterone im taking or if it's a good sign because they were like this with DS and not with the others I lost🙈

MindatWork · 10/09/2023 08:36

@bringmearainbow its the crinone gel 😵‍💫 honestly i hate it as would happily do without it (I’m also taking progesterone pills and injections) but it’s part of my clinic’s protocol. We tried Asda as they’re the cheapest provider by far but they have none at all, so am trying some other online pharmacies. Worst comes to the worst we’ll have to get it direct from the clinic but its £40 for a box of 15 and I’m supposed to use 3 a day until 12 weeks 😫😫😫.

Fingers crossed all goes smoothly for you at your scan 👍🏻👍🏻

How is everyone coping with pregnancy bloat? I'm 8 weeks. But already look huge. My belly is so round, heavy and hard 🙈 I know it's obviously not the baby yet and just bloat. How can I help bring it down? None of my clothes fit and I'm still desperately trying to hide it at work for a few more weeks but it's getting difficult

lilpopcorn · 10/09/2023 10:23

@Belle26 I'm the same, although only 6+4 😫let's just say I'm counting down the days/weeks until chunky jumper season!

I have no idea how I’m going to hide it at work until at least 12 weeks! Just feel so fat at the moment. Leggings and lose tops are the only things I can wear comfortably

I was so sick with my son from around this stage (6 weeks) so far I just feel nauseous. Like hungover nausea is the only way I can describe it 😂

HopeAndChocolate · 10/09/2023 11:09

Random question… for those who don’t have 28 day long cycles (and especially those whose cycle lengths vary), how have you worked out your EDD before going to a scan and baby then obviously being measured? I know due date is hit and miss generally, but I won’t have a scan for a while and I’d love to know!

Albrook · 10/09/2023 11:11

Congrats everyone!
I went for a private scan yesterday at 7+4, everything with baby looks good. We saw their little heart beating. They mentioned a haematoma near the baby but they didn't seem concerned. Has anyone else had this?

ttcthoughts · 10/09/2023 11:37

@HopeAndChocolate ive just added two weeks from my ovulation date.

HopeAndChocolate · 10/09/2023 11:41

To work out your cycle length @ttcthoughts? x

ttcthoughts · 10/09/2023 12:11

To work out due date, so the two weeks before I used for my lmp

KatieJ345 · 10/09/2023 13:16

For anyone that was worried about a lack of symptoms…I have had pretty much none so went for a scan at 7 weeks today. Everything fine and measuring 7+3 with good heartbeat. So it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong if you aren’t feeling sick. I am experiencing some discomfort after the transvaginal scan but hoping this is normal!

Plumful · 10/09/2023 14:12

@KatieJ345 uou can’t win right. I don’t have any bloating or sickness. I feel completely fine other than tired in the evenings but it’s so hot I’d probably feel like that anyway. @JR94 tjat all day hangover is exactly how I described my first pregnancy experience, it was horrific and debilitating.

HopeAndChocolate · 10/09/2023 14:14

Great news @KatieJ345! How was the transvaginal scan itself? Bit nervous about that!

KatieJ345 · 10/09/2023 14:33

@HopeAndChocolate honestly I was really nervous too but it was fine. Completely painless but a little uncomfortable when they looked around the ovaries. And I think the probe was only in there for a minute or two!

MindatWork · 10/09/2023 17:41

TRIGGER WARNING BLEEDING:

Oh ladies, things are not going well here. I had a lovely afternoon at my sisters with DD and her cousins, then felt a warm gush as we were about to leave and saw blood running down my leg 😖😖😖.

Ive had a really heavy bright red bleed and some cramping as well. Technically with the amount of progesterone I’m on I shouldn’t be bleeding at all. I did have bleeds around this time with DD but not as heavy I don’t think.

DH is away with work and not back until late tonight. I’ve got to get DD bathed and in bed and sort the house as we have a school home visit tomorrow. I’ve been googling 6 week miscarriages and what to expect, but I just want to go to bed.

Would appreciate a handhold 🤦‍♀️. Can’t call my DH as there’s nothing he’ll be able to do and he has a long drive home.

lenalove · 10/09/2023 18:06

@MindatWork I'm so sorry to hear that, how upsetting! Are you able to contact your midwife first thing tomorrow for some guidance? Try not to wind yourself up googling (even though it's so hard I know), thinking of you and hoping it's all ok xxx

MindatWork · 10/09/2023 18:17

Tank you @lenalove, I don’t have a midwife yet as I’m only 6+4. I’ve self referred to my local trust but haven’t heard anything back yet.

I know it could go either way, I just want to know what’s happening for definite - it’s the waiting and worrying that’s the worst h thing. We’ve spent soooo much money on this round of ivf, that’s it for us if this doesn’t work as I can’t go through this again.
