Tentatively seeing if anyone else is due then yet?

I got a positive digital this morning and based on Ovulation I'd be due 30th April and 2nd May based on LMP, but until the dating scan that could easily change a week either way based on previous babies!

hoping I can join this thread - i’m 6 weeks 1 day today - due beginning of May :)

I’ve had two bouts of severe cramping this morning, which last maybe 10 seconds each time. I wouldn’t exactly describe them as period-type pains either but i’ve had to stop what i’m doing, they are that bad. Has anyone else had this or know if this is normal? It’s my first pregnancy so it’s all new to me.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Good news! They saw the sac and yolk sac! I’m being rescanned in 2 weeks time as I got pregnant straight after the miscarriage so they didn’t know how to date the pregnancy. I’m around 5 weeks I think as only the yolk sac is showing at the moment but they thought I saw 6 weeks because of the high hcg. Hopefully everything continues ok 🤞🏼

@naggy095 hope you’re doing okay. How awful of them to so casually say something so upsetting, and without even checking the numbers properly before saying it!

As far as I understand, some degree of cramping is normal (I have been having it on and off myself) - and not usually a cause for concern unless it goes on endlessly/is accompanied by bleeding. It's my first too, so others here might be able to share a bit more wisdom! You could always mention to your GP or midwife to put your mind at rest, always better than worrying and second guessing :) I had a list of Qs for my GP the other day and it definitely helped me get my head around what is "normal".

I had an early scan today. Per my last period date I am 6weeks6days however I know I ovulated on day 19/20 not day 14. The scan is showing the embryo measuring 5 weeks 6 days. We could see a very small flicker so a heartbeat. I know the embroyo is measuring per my ovulation dates but I am still worried it’s behind.

Thank you everyone, that was the most nervous I've been ever.. But all is well!!!
We saw embryo with heartbeat measuring bang on where we should be at 6 weeks ❤️❤️❤️ I've been given progesterone and go back in 2 weeks for another scan xxxx

If you know your ovulation dates @Irish34 matches the scan, what makes you worried things are behind lovely?

@HopeAndChocolate this is my second baby and on my first I also ovulated late but it never effected the dates with my first. I went on my last period with her and my weeks matched. I feel now that I have been sent back a week I suppose. Not sure should I change my booking scan now to a week later.

@Irish34 it sounds very positive they detected the heartbeat so early on, but of course I understand it must feel a bit discombobulating to hear you're a bit behind where you assumed. It does sound like it's all adding up though with the ovulation dates x

Try not to worry by 12 week baby will have cought up.

Early scans are so subjective and at this stage hours can make big difference in dates, that why is only a estimation at this stage as it all curled up still.

I always measure behind but normally by 14 weeks am back where i should be

@Irish34 @Kellyaust good news all round today! I had my scan, measuring 6w 5d, so 2 days less than I had got on the calculator.

Relieved to see everything looking ok, bit of a weight off!

I ovulate on day 19 too. Is it worth mentioning this at booking appointment because last time at my “12 week scan” I was nearly a week behind.

@Plumful atleast I am not alone! I will tell them at 12 weeks. I am a full week behind based on my last period dates at the moment so I don’t expect that that to change! I never had this on my first!

I really don’t feel pregnant
