@FirstT1meMum I’ve got the in laws coming Monday to stay so needed to make the place look semi presentable!!! Definitely no stamina!

Kalodin · 20/08/2023 05:26

Need some reassurance please (typically my MW is on holiday so can't text her). Pain in my right side been bothering me all of yesterday, thought it would go after a night's sleep but it's still there. Coughing / sneezing definitely makes it worse, so I'm thinking it's likely just muscle pain, right? Still sp nervous though

Hummusanddipdip · 20/08/2023 09:03

Highly likely to be muscle pain @Kalodin especially if it's when you cough or sneeze, its probably where your womb is starting to move up and change shape. I'm finding when I roll over in bed, but twist so move my legs or body first my lower left side twinges, but I also get it when I sneeze, I think it's the violence of my body's reaction (I have a horrible big sneeze, the kind people on here sometimes describe as a "performance sneeze")

Mummyme87 · 20/08/2023 09:18

Sounds muscular @Kalodin ligaments stretching out

I'm off to my heavily pregnant best friends 40th party today 🎉

FirstT1meMum · 20/08/2023 09:53

@Kalodin I had pain earlier this week that started in middle of my back and went round to my right hand side. Was similar to you and expected it to disappear with some rest. When it was still there next day I freaked enough to ring MAU. Their advice was stay topped up on paracetamol(which really did help), warm bath, warm compress and rest. They weren't concerned as I had no bleeding or pain in my tummy. I do think I'd possibly pulled something when I either turned over or possibly when I was doing some exercise so yours could very well be muscular.
Having lots of new aches this week! Yesterday was struggling with what I think was ligament pain with things stretching as it was like a dull, pulling pain rather than cramp or anything and was only there when I stood up or walked (and only intermittently). Pregnant bodies are marvellous, stressful things 🤣

@Mummyme87 have a wonderful time 🥳

HopeAndStrength · 20/08/2023 10:09

Hi @Kalodin I'll also add that I'm having some similar aches and pains (17 weeks) so it seems like a few people have experienced the same.

Kalodin · 20/08/2023 10:46

Thanks everyone, you'd think this being my 4th I'd be used to all this by now but it's like your brain forgets it all!

I may give MUA a call if its still sore tomorrow @FirstT1meMum I'll follow the advice they gave you. Mines not in my back but on my tummy on the right side, sort of quite high up, higher than I'd have thought my uterus would be. I suppose it's probably where its all stretching there.

Have a lovely party @Mummyme87 ! Hope she's managing to stay cool in this heat

Mummyme87 · 20/08/2023 10:54

It could also be gallstones @Kalodin that is really common in pregnancy although usually pretty debilitating. Upper abdomen is almost always muscular skeletal, that or something totally unrelated to pregnancy. The more pregnancies you have usually the more painful it gets!!! I always find pregnancy particularly painful 😣

anyone sitting down for the football this morning?! I’m a bit nervous actually 😂😂

Luhou · 20/08/2023 12:11

Aches and pains over here too. My pelvis is so clicky, everytime I roll over in bed. Also find when I lean like to put DD in car seat feel pain in my stomach muscles. Also get pain in the side of my stomach if I sneeze or get up to quick.

LittleAlien24 · 20/08/2023 13:08

Pains here as well for about a week now. It's sharp pain on my right really low. Im worried but on the other hand i used to get pains there even before pregnancy even tho scans and everything has been ok on this side 😏

@Mummyme87 enjoy the party.

Kalodin · 20/08/2023 13:18

Burgh I hope its not those @Mummyme87 ! I'll keep an eye on it and if it continues I'll call. Maybe go see GP.

Gutted about the football!

FirstT1meMum · 20/08/2023 13:39

@Kalodin they were so lovely when I rang and listened and I felt they were really sympathetic.

Gutted about the football too! Definitely felt it was an unfair game!!

Niam4 · 20/08/2023 13:49

Hi everyone hope you’re keeping well. I just have a quick query I’m 19 weeks today and have felt no movement I have an anterior placenta so was told this could be the case. Just wondering when should I be concerned re no movement. Is there anything I should watch out for that might be subtle movements? Just wondering if anyone else is in this position or has this experience from previous thanks

Lightningrain · 20/08/2023 14:30

@Niam4 I’m 20+3 and haven’t felt any movements yet either. My midwife said not to be concerned unless it gets to 25 weeks as apparently it’s fairly common, particularly if it’s your first baby. I had my scan last week and all looked fine which has reassured me.

Mushroo · 20/08/2023 15:11

Drama today!

Had sex this morning for the first time in ages and had light bleeding afterwards! Was advised to go into the maternity unit but I was in a different city as was at a friends birthday party last night.

Ultimately advised I would be ok to travel after back and forth being my unit and the unit in the city of the party. Drove for 1.5 hours straight to my unit.

all fine, (and got to hear baby’s heartbeat!) but had to wait 2 hours for a doctor. Then right at the end I reminded them I was rhesus negative which they hadn’t noticed.

Turns out they never got the results back for baby’s blood group (so annoying as it was taken when I was 16 weeks) so had to have more bloods done.

Took three people as apparently I have ‘tiny veins’. Now waiting to hear back from the blood test results and if I need to go back for anti-D injection.

Everyone was nice but concerning that if I hadn’t mentioned I was Rhesus negative it wouldn’t have been picked up.

Told DH we’re never having sex again 😂

Niam4 · 20/08/2023 15:54

@Lightningrain thank you that is reassuring it’s my first baby so confused as to what to expect and when people say movement early on what exactly is that. Iv had a lot of stomach issues previously so I think grumbles and stuff would be fairly common so maybe I’m confusing those. Every day is a new learning.

@Mushroo hope your feeling ok now it’s quite a fright to get at anytime. So sorry they hadn’t realised your rhesus status too not the extra worry you needed

Dannic2018 · 20/08/2023 15:58

Hope you’re ok @Kalodin I get the sharp ligament pains if I turn too quick in bed or sneeze/cough too hard.
@Mushroo aw no what a nightmare! I’m avoiding sex still, we’ve only hard it twice since finding out as I was on progesterone till 16 then I’ve found out I now have a low lying placenta and it says to avoid sex, And did txt my midwife to check but had no response, poor hubby 🤣

Mushroo · 20/08/2023 16:02

@Niam4 thank you! My advice if anyone is seeing a midwife / hospital make sure you just tell them absolutely everything just in case. (And chase up blood results if it’s been a few weeks…)

@Dannic2018 I’ll be joining you in the celibate club, can’t be bothered with the stress! 😂

Onedayatatime24 · 20/08/2023 16:52

I've completely gone off sex too, everything just feels weird!! And it made me bleed early on in pregnancy although hasn't since about 9 weeks but still find the anxiety completely puts me off. Glad I'm not the only one as I'd been reading libido should be increasing in 2nd trimester which certainly hasn't been the case. 😂

Also been getting pains when rolling over too quick or coughing/sneezing. I've also had a dull ache in my uterus area after a day of walking a lot. Just assumed it was stuff moving and stretching.

Thought I felt movements around 17 weeks but had nothing in the last week or so and I'm 19 weeks today so not sure what to make of that. Only a week until our 20 week scan now, eeek!

FirstT1meMum · 20/08/2023 17:27

I definitely feel my libido has increased but I'm so anxious about actually having sex it's a nightmare 🤣🙈

@Onedayatatime24 I've had a very similar dull ache that started yesterday after a busy shopping day and just put it down to stretching too so glad I'm not the only one!

suz2285 · 20/08/2023 18:05

@Onedayatatime24 @FirstT1meMum
I literally just started to enjoy/relax about sex this last week or so, we were away to my folks this weekend so we had sex on thur morning before we went, I literally thought aw this is better I'm not stressing about it as much now... fast forward 8 or so hours and I had one tiny bit of bloody mucus come out and spiralled into a panic! Told my mum and husband, none of us slept a wink!

Lucky we had a scan booked the next night so fam could see the baby and I had no other anything, was one teeny spot of red, no other discharge or anything. Can only assume it was a knock to my cervix... been fine since, baby is fine, kicking away

Also went down a hole of could my cervix be too short etc!! Anyone know if they check it at the 20 week scan??

Needless to say I'm back to being panicky about sex now 🙈🙈🙈🙈

suz2285 · 20/08/2023 18:07

@Mushroo didn't tag you In my previous post but same 🙈

I didn't ring them, I'm also rh -ve but it was only the smallest tiny bit of blood, I'm sure from my cervix, interested to see if they offer you the anti d though!!

Mushroo · 20/08/2023 18:14

@suz2285 yeh they said I should have it just in case! It was similarly a small amount of blood (nothing on a pad, only when I wipe) but they said better to just do it.

Maybe just give them a call just to double check :)

suz2285 · 20/08/2023 18:16

@Mushroo think I'm too late now anyway cos it was on thur night! I was away too 🙈
Mums a midwife and didn't seem to think I needed to do anything tho...

I honestly wouldn't have even seen it if I didn't look at the tissue... if it had been an hour later it would've been during the night and I wouldn't have known about if

Mushroo · 20/08/2023 18:20

You’ll be fine! Mine last over an hour of spotting so does seem more than yours. If it had been a one off I wouldn’t have bothered going in either :)

Rhesus negative is just a whole other set of things to worry about!
